Never started a bus before.
I’m out for March as just got af and have long cycles.

Will be hoping for a bfp mid April.

Anyone want to hop aboard?

I’m ttc#2 cycle#4

Ds turning 2 this month so hoping to give him a sibling for Christmas 😁

@Missgoldilocks I wish sore boobs weren't such pre AF symptom for me. As soon they stopped hurting a few days ago I just knew it wasn't happening this month, it's so disheartening.

karenkeys · 06/03/2020 15:08

@Lilyduke I’ve been TTC since January. I’m sure you having a drink didn’t make the difference - I didn’t touch a drip of alcohol for the entire month and it didn’t happen so it seems to make little difference. I’ve also done the same and cut caffeine right down, along with eating healthily, taking the folic acid and vitamin D, light exercise every day. You would think that all the effort would increase the changes.

I’ll be having a couple of glasses of wine tonight now that AF is here!

Lilyduke · 06/03/2020 15:43

@karenkeys I'd also added in evening primrose oil and royal jelly until approximately ovulation. Obviously didn't help lol. I'll probs do the same again this cycle though, just to feel like I'm doing something!

Posharmchairs · 06/03/2020 17:26

For those wanting to feel proactive I bought a book on pre conception nutrition with my first baby. It not only got us eating healthier meals but massively broadened our typical weeknight dinners!

Having the odd alcoholic drink is probably a good thing, if you’re worrying about that it can only add stress. My obstetrician was very pro wine when we had help conceiving ds.

Opinions please 🙏 I was just doing the washing and felt the tiiiiiiniest bit nauseous (so tiny that a normal person wouldn’t have even noticed) and thought to myself that it would be a lovely day to find out I was pregnant. I decided it would be a good idea to do a test!

I’m sure this is a negative result but I just need someone to agree that I am imagining things. I’m currently CD36 and don’t even think I’ve ovulated yet so the craziness is starting to set in 😅 my temperatures have been pretty consistent so I’m SURE this can’t be positive...please tell me to be sensible and not get my hopes up!

Hi 👋🏼 can I jump onboard?!
Cd 2 for me... hoping April will be the month for a December baby
Cycle no.4 for us
Due to ovulate around the 22nd March...

YellowFlower22 · 08/03/2020 13:57

@OrangeJ I can see something!

PumpkinPie2016 · 08/03/2020 14:19

orangej I think I can see something! Fingers crossed for you!

AF due around Thursday for me so we will be starting to try after that. Trying not to get my hopes up as it's unlikely to happen first month.

littletandme · 08/03/2020 16:33

@orangej that's a definite line, albeit faint. How many dpo are you?

Posharmchairs · 08/03/2020 17:20

@OrangeJ I’m awful at seeing squinters but wishing you much luck!

Welcome @YellowFlower22, I think we will be ovulating around the same time. Are you planning to use opk’s?

Af seems to be slowing down a bit so hoping last month was just a one off long cycle and i’ll Ovulate quicker.

Just sat in my ds’s room, we’ve put up a big boy bed for him but the cot is still here, it is really making me pang for another!

Thanks girls. Showed DH and he’s downplayed it and written it off as an ident. He’s much more level-headed than me! I’ve ordered a couple more tests so will see in a few days. Won’t get too excited until I see an undeniable line!

@littletandme I don’t even know if I am post ovulation 😅 I have super unpredictable and irregular periods. My temp hasn’t raised and I’ve not had a peak on an OPK yet. Now I’ve said that it definitely sounds like an ident!

Hatepickinganame · 08/03/2020 18:04

@OrangeJ i think i see something but im terrible with the really squinty ones, i usually cant see anything. Good luck!

@Posharmchairs i have loads of baby bits i got for my sister, gives me a stab of the broody every time i look! Seriously debating whether to say sod it, waste 7 quid on a clear blue from my local and test tonight cause AF is still absent and im now getting odd cm, a mix of pinky/brown i want to say. Which upon googling could be a sign. Or could just be AF starting. Argh! Someone help me 😂😂😂😂😂

YellowFlower22 · 08/03/2020 18:19

@Posharmchairs thanks 😊 yes I use opks and chart bbt, I find really helpful and gives me that slight feeling of control a little bit (although it hasn't worked so far!)
Stocked up on lots of healthy foods this month, feeling positive that this will be our month!

@OrangeJ I get that, my OH is the same. It's good they are so level headed I find, it can all be such an anxious time we need the sanity! Maybe he's just trying not to get too excited, let us know if you test again tomorrow! Fingers crossed it gets darker for you.

littletandme · 09/03/2020 09:40

Everyone who uses OPKs, what CD do you start using them? I started quite early last month but got a really early peak that confused me (I didn't ovulate until much later when I had a second peak) so wondering when I should start, is CD9/10 too late? I'm CD5 today and thankfully my period was only short.

YellowFlower22 · 09/03/2020 09:52

Hi @littletandme this month I'm going to hold out until CD9/10 I think. I tend to get highish results straight after my period which confuses me but they aren't as high as then what I get around CD 14/15

karenkeys · 09/03/2020 14:00

I’m hoping my cycle is normal this month as I seem to have had AF for 2-3 days and then nothing. It usually lasts a full 5 days. Definitely was AF though due to the bad cramps and negative tests beforehand 🤔

Looks like I’ll need to start DTD sooner than planner though just incase. Hope you’re all doing ok. Didn’t expect to see a BFP post on the April bus when this is early March 😂 but always nice to see someone get good news.

MayDay27 · 09/03/2020 14:34

Hi everyone can I join! I'm 30 partner is 32 and it's our first time TTC. I came off the pill in November to try and get my cycles back to normal and so far have had pretty regular periods. My Ovia app is telling me my fertile window starts 14/03 but I think we're just going to start DTD from today and see how it goes! Any idea what due dates would be if I did conceive this month? I know it's a massive if but just enjoy daydreaming about it Smile

karenkeys · 09/03/2020 15:06

@MayDay27 we should be due around the first week in December roughly if it happens this cycle.

MayDay27 · 09/03/2020 15:17

Thank you! I'm very new to this so if this is a daft question I apologise but if my fertile window starts on the 14th is it probable that TTC before than won't be very effective? My period lasted longer than usual this month 8 days instead of 5 but my fertile window didn't change on the app!

littletandme · 09/03/2020 15:36

@MayDay27 the length of your period shouldn't effect the date you ovulate, which is generally 14 days after the first day of your period if you have a 28 day cycle, give or take a few days. If you have a longer cycle then ovulation will be slightly later, around 14 days before the start of your next period, if that makes sense.

littletandme · 09/03/2020 15:42

@MayDay27 it's recommended to have sex every other or every two days throughout your cycle just in case you do ovulate early, which can catch you out if you're not using ovulation tests. Otherwise yes, your fertile window is really the only opportunity to fall pregnant as sperm only live for a maximum of 5 days therefore any sex more than 4 days before ovulation won't have any chance of conception.

karenkeys · 09/03/2020 15:51

@MayDay27 if you’re not tracking ovulation with OPK tests or CM changes you should do what @littletandme recommends and just have sex every second day from when your period ends for the next week and a half, for the best chance of covering ovulation. That’s what I’m doing at the moment. Good luck!

MayDay27 · 09/03/2020 16:21

Thanks guys! Did anyone else feel completely overwhelmed when they first started trying? We know we definitely want children and have talked about it for along time but I also feel far too immature to be making these decisions!

OrangeJ · 09/03/2020 17:49

BFN for me today. So definitely still on the bus and will not try to jump off one stop early again 🤣 I’ve learnt my lesson and from now on will not force myself to see lines! If it doesn’t smack me round the face, then I’m counting it as a BFN!

@MayDay27 Yes! Totally overwhelming! I thought so ignorantly that it would be simple - just have unprotected once sex right?! Little did I know 🙈

MayDay27 · 09/03/2020 18:11

Really sorry AF arrived xx I know they make it out to be so simple in sex ed!
