Hi ladies. May I join the April bus? Just finished Af so am out for March. Hoping for a bfp April 2nd! Trying for baby #2. Have a little daughter 18mnts. Hope April is the month for all you ladies!

PumpkinPie2016 · 09/03/2020 21:17

Well, I am now cd1 as AF has arrived. Slightly earlier than expected so my cycle seems to be around 26-28 days in general.

So, hoping to start trying once AF disappears. Could really do with some good news right now!

PumpkinPie2016 · 09/03/2020 21:20

Aww OrangeJ sorry to hear it turned out negative in the end Sad

popcorndiva · 09/03/2020 21:29

Joining bus
TTC2
April will be first cycle.
Predicting I will ovulate around the 11th

OrangeJ · 09/03/2020 22:08

Thanks @PumpkinPie2016 I was just being silly really convincing myself there was a line 🙈

Oooh so if it happens for you this cycle you could have a very interesting due date 🤞

Posharmchairs · 10/03/2020 06:53

Hi new ladies and welcome 🍰.

@OrangeJ I’m sorry, it’s always worth a test if you’re driving yourself potty with wondering. I find it helps draw a line under that cycle and you can go through whatever emotions you need and start afresh with hopeful optimism!

Feels like day 385 of af for me! Hopefully it clears off today and I can start temping and opk tracking to try and work out when the heck I’m ovulating.

Morning ladies hope I can join you.. 😁
I'm currently Cd11 and me and my partner are trying properly this month for our first baby.. We did fall last July but sadly lost at 9 weeks. With our due date approaching end of month we have decided to try properly and using opks but I'm just not very confident as I'm always wondering why I haven't fallen again since and is there something wrong. Iv started taking seven seas tablets too with the hope it can give my body a boost x
How are you getting on with the opks x

Sdoo4 · 10/03/2020 10:08

Hello April bus, mind if I jump on?

AF arrived this morning so here I am ready for bus ride number 3. I’m 31 and trying for our first, I started taking folic Acid this month and have seen some people mention Angus castus so might give that a go. I’ve only been using my clue app to track ovulation so this month I’m definitely going to use OPKs and try do everything else I can to have a better chance this time round.

OrangeJ · 10/03/2020 10:11

Hi @Kaylab2489 so sorry for your loss. Flowers but it seems like a lovely way to acknowledge the due date.

I’m probably not the best person to give advice as I have PCOS so think I have weird LH surges. These are my latest OPK results 🤦‍♀️ I keep testing though and hoping if I get a peak I can confirm it with a BBT increase.

Thanks @posharmchairs. I’m feeling optimistic and don’t think I’ve ovulated yet, so there’s still hope 🤞 Hope af buggers off soon!

Can I ask everyone a question about temping? I don’t know if my thermometer is broken as my temp is SO consistent! Like within 36.09-36.11 nearly every day! I am quite consistent with sleep and time taken etc and have had an increase after a night of a few drinks. Is anyone else’s this stable?

Hello ladies. I hope I can join you.

Just finished AF. Testing April 3rd hoping for a BFP.
Flo says I should ovulate by 19th March. I will be travelling for work from 20th until 24th, so gutted that I might miss my peak, but hoping to catch it before I leave.

Have ordered pre seed and looking forward to trying it this month.

Florence13 · 10/03/2020 10:33

Hi Ladies,
Can I join to? Finally had first proper AF since coming off the pill in January so guess this will really be our first cycle of trying. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone getting BFPs in April.

Kaylab2489 · 10/03/2020 10:38

Has anyone used the mommed ovulation kits? Or can anyone advise on any x

PollyDoodleBug · 10/03/2020 19:46

@Broodyladyhere we are the exact same timings this month. Have decided to give conceive plus a go this month too.
Anyone have and experience with it?

Posharmchairs · 11/03/2020 13:32

Hi!

Sorry I’ve been quiet, still waiting for the longest period in the world to sod off!

Opk wise I do think the clear blue digital are good, just really expensive. I used them when I conceived my ds.

I think the problem with test strips is the likelihood to stare at them, shine torches on them, look at them on one leg stood on a chair on the third shelf in the loft 😂

@PollyDoodleBug Oh you are my cycle buddy :) Now, I only hope that my cycle is not delayed, as sometimes it goes upto CD 34-36. And hopefully ovulate before I leave.

I have read a lot of positive reviews about these fertlity lubricants on other threads, so fingers crossed for us !

Hatepickinganame · 11/03/2020 15:52

@Posharmchairs i feel your pain, its only been 3 days so far but this period is the worst!! Crazy heavy and really painful. Can't wait for it to go away now!

MoonW · 11/03/2020 15:54

Hi ladies,
Wondered if I could join too? I had my implant out at the beginning of this month so this will be our first month of TTC Smile
Fingers crossed for everyone getting BFPs in April

Lizziejayne13 · 11/03/2020 15:56

Can i jump on? Im currently cd4 and according to ovia due to ovulate Around 19/20th .... so hoping for bfp early april ..... into my 8th cycle now and feeling fed up :(

MayDay27 · 11/03/2020 19:47

Since this is my first time TTC I'm sorry for the stupid questions but can someone give me a bit of a time frame for testing! If it says I start ovulating on the 14th and we are doing it around that time what is then classed as the TWW and when do you start thinking of testing? Also is anyone else in any kind of limbo with jobs? I am currently in a job I like but isn't great for a good work/life balance especially if you have a family and so I was looking at moving careers. Obviously with TTC that would have to take a backseat but I am now wondering if maybe instead we should wait until I'm sorted with a new job, but then that could be a while and I don't know what happens if you fall pregnant soon after starting a new job! In my current role I would take a year off on maternity which would then give me time to consider options of going back to work or looking for something else. I really am just wittering on now!! I suppose since we've decided we want to start trying suddenly all these new things seem to need a lot of consideration and I'm just wondering if anyone else also feels that way or whether most people are all sorted!

popcorndiva · 11/03/2020 20:07

It depends on your normal cycle. Usually you can do an early test 5 days before your period is due so work back from then. If you have a regular 28 day cycle you would be testing around the 28th. Two weeks after ovulation.

I have splashed out on a connected clear blue ovulation kit as want to feel like I have done every thing for it to happen. Otherwise I would start to think what if
I was thinking if we do have to quarantine there may be a baby boom in the UK

popcorndiva · 11/03/2020 20:09

I am planning on changing careers once this maternity is over as currently public sector so good maternity pay. Using the time before I do change, to get a professional qualification in the new field. This will take at least a year so I am making a step to moving

MayDay27 · 11/03/2020 20:33

Popcorndiva do you mean the time you're on maternity to work towards the qualifications for a different career?

popcorndiva · 11/03/2020 20:41

Well I have started this month so by the time maternity is over I will be ready to go. Planning it will take longer than normal as going to take time off when baby is born. But want to be ready when I go back to be ready to start job hunting

MayDay27 · 11/03/2020 21:07

Sounds a good plan, there's a course I want to go on for a new career starting in September, if I'm lucky enough to have conceived by then I realise I'll be doing the course over my maternity leave but I'm hoping I'll be able to manage it that way after my year maternity I'll be eligible for jobs in the new field. I just wasn't sure whether everyone else TTC has already planned out their career around family life prior to TTC!

popcorndiva · 11/03/2020 21:19

Well I had kind of, part time, shifts around my DH, good benefits but am so bored and unfulfilled. Want to go back full time in a proper career once DS1 goes to school.
