@KrissyMB sorry to hear, how long have you been waiting? I'm in the same position, trying not to worry myself but it's not working!

Got a pack of OPK tests and tested for 4 days in a row this weekend. After a couple of faint lines I finally got a good solid line yesterday. 1 day out from my predicted day according to my app so glad to know it's not too far out. DTD every other day for the past week though - DH very happy with the arrangement I know we would be very lucky to fall on the first go given my age (34) but it's a strange feeling being on the 2WW bus for the first time.
Anyone else feel weird when they first started trying? I mean, it's an exciting time but I've spent probably 18 years trying not to get pregnant and now it's the opposite haha.

Can I join too? DH and I have been TTC our first for a few months and this is the first month I have used Clearblue advanced digital ovulation kit. You always think "oh maybe this month" so I have tried not to think too much about it in the TWW but I can tell that AF is on its way. Anyway nobody knows that we are trying and it would be nice to have some support here and help each other. I keep thinking that we have left it too late - I am 39 and DH is 42 and every month just get so disappointed. I am on Folic Acid + Vitamin D....just wondered if any of you have any tips/suggestions on what might help us? Thank you.

@Factualmistakes haha my husband would love that arrangement, I don't think he wants me to get pregnant right away so he can make the most of it 😂 totally agree it's odd, I always thought my first child would be an 'accident' based on how poor I was at taking the pill... but here we are!!

Women are having babies much later these days, so although it may take a little while longer, try to relax and not worry too much about it for the time being.
Only my closest friend knows we are trying but it is nice to have others to talk to about it apart from my DH.
I don't have any advice or tips yet as only at the start of my journey, but I am sure some of the other lovely ladies will help.

@Factualmistakes thank you for the welcome. Yes it is nice to have others to talk to who are on the same journey. Trying to relax about it....but easier said than done.....Lol! Hope all goes well for you.

Morning ladies! Cd8 today and DTD this morning which was spontaneous and a pleasant change from the structured every other day schedule we usually keep to haha!

@whatsthecraic91 any signs of ovulation yet?

@CoalCraft yeah will be interesting to see what the first cycle is like!

P.s yes I added an extra n haha. Not sure why, people i know might read the threads and put together that i am trying and also know the status of my cervical mucus 🤣🤣 not sure another n really adds anonymity haha

@Kiza haha I cant believe I got your boobs mixed up - had a 50/50 chance of getting it right as well. Ah ok, tbh I was happy with the everything is fine when it comes to him so I am guessing it is something my side causing the issue so would rather they give me more in depth info regarding my results. Sorry to hear it was a BFN, what CD are you?

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I'm 33, almost at the 1 year mark of TTC. Managing to stay fairly chilled about ttc but it isn't always easy, especially when lots of my friends are pregnant with 1st/2nd/3rd babies.
Waiting for af just now. I think I might have ovulated very early this month (I don't use opk anymore, just cm signs), which would make me late already. But don't want to get my hopes up! According to app I'm due on Thursday. I want a bfp so badly, but too scared to test and get bfn instead so going to wait.

@coalcraft @lozzlepop @rathernotshare it's been a month but I'm stuck in that weird phase that I'm testing incase I am one of the lucky ones that catch straight away and then being disappointed

@Lozzlepop I know what you mean. The more time that’s passing the more anxious I get. I just want to know what’s going on in there!

@Kiza maybe I will look into It all after the lap and dye. Thank you. When I ovulate I am irregular but had an especially late o just in December... I still had a 14 day LP instead of my usual 12ish day. So only a little longer.

@Annny27 spontaneous sounds refreshing! Lol after all this time things can become a bit of a routine 🙈. It makes me so frustrated that it’s even come to that!

Having my lap at the end of the
Week and feeling a bit rundown. They won’t do it if so much as have a cold so I’m so paranoid! Being a women is so bloody hard on times!

So somehow I only just realised that you're supposed to take folic acid before you're actually pregnant... I thought it was only for post-conception! So needless to say I have just popped out to pick some up. This is a first for me at I never normally take supplements etc.

Anyone else made any rookie mistakes while new to ttc? There's so much to get your head around it seems easy to miss things!

@CoalCraft I was told that Vit D is a must through winter months.

So AF arrived in full force midday at work whilst wearing white underwear and completely unprepared! 😂 onto cycle 19!

@CoalCraft yes folic acid for sure. There's a few others you could take but many people try for a while on just folic acid.

@KrissyMB it's hard not to get excited and try to hang on to that excitement too but I suppose it's also about being realistic and trying to focus on other things in your life so TTC doesn't become all consuming.

@Carley321 hope you pick up as the date approaches as it's already a long time to get to investigations so even more frustrating if it has to be pushed back.

@Lozzlepop hahah don't worry about the boob mix up- they were confusing me! It could be that there's nothing wrong with either of you and it's just one of those bloody frustrating things! Although I can understand from your perspective you'd like an answer to the losses and hope there is a treatment/intervention that can help.

@Annny27 I thought it was you 😁 pleasant surprise with a non organised DTD, hope you get a few more of those

@Wearyandfeelingold welcome, I'm also 39 and feeling the pressure. I'm hoping that I've still got some great eggs and am having to accept that it's not happened for the last year and half and hope that it'll happen one day!

@Annny27 I instantly noticed your extra "n" 😊 yes I think it will be ovulation day today or tomorrow, I know this is TMI my CM was actually gushing today 🙈 as soon as DP got in the door tonight I was like we are having sex tonight & he was like champions leagues on 🤣🙄 I love when it's spontaneous you still need those times don't you! Are you trying anything different this cycle?

Also forgot to add, I have my chlamydia test on the 24th, 1 day before AF is due (the next available date!) so if I have any spotting at all I have to cancel as bleeding can give inconclusive results 😐 Dr won't refer me for HSG until I've got the all clear so more waiting 👎🏼

Wow so many ladies TTC for the 1st time. I thought I had left it a little late to start trying at 34 so I am glad to see others of similar ages on here.

@Kiza I agree, that's why I'm still training hard and got marathon in a few weeks. I guess I just want my period so I can know where I'm at with my cycle so I'll atleast know when I'm properly late if that makes sense x

@Carley321 I wanted to try acupuncture as well but it seems like the issue isn't me after all (hopefully not as then it's both of us!) so thinking there's no point now. How comes they won't do it if you have a cold?

We have been researching anything and everything to improve sperm count and my DH is sitting next to me with an ice pack on his balls 🤣
Things seem to be really picking up with this Coronavirus and I'm getting worried they are gonna cancel my first fertility appointment in 2 weeks. Is anyone else worried about appointments??

@whatsthecraic91 hiya yes I was messaging on here a good few cycles ago then took a break. Unfortunately no luck on the mean time obv. Hope you get your test done in time.

@Narwhal88 I was thinking today that maybe now is not the best time to get pregnant with all this coronavirus stuff about to kick off.... However im not going to actually stop trying of course, just a thought. I think things would have to get really bad before they start to cancel clinics so hopefully you'll be ok.

@Kiza folic acid seems to be the one NHS is really pushing so I'll stick with that for the time being. Might look into more of TTC takes a while or if course if Dr recommends it :) Oh and how annoying of AF!

@whatsthecraic91 fingers crossed AF keeps away and you can get your test.

@Narwhal88 @Skyla01 I don't think we're at the point yet where clinics will be cancelled, and even if we sadly do get there, I don't think it will last long. For things like midwife appointments (different I know) it might to that they start doing home visits rather than gathering foods together in the hospital? Of course I am not an expert though, just guessing!

Re: vitamins I've only been taking folic acid regularly. Been taking vit D over the winter but will stop that soon as the sun is starting to come out.

I had a bit of a pink tinge to cm this morning- normally that means AF on the way. Bit disappointed as I had a good feeling this month! That takes us over the year mark. Not sure whether to go to the gp now and get it over with, or keep trying a few more months ourselves...

@CoalCraft a month before we decided to ttc I had some blood tests done for something different and my doctor said I was slightly deficient in folic acid so I am glad he said otherwise I would never have even considered taking them. I wouldnt worry though, some people dont take it even when pregnant so starting now is awesome!

@whatsthecraic91 you should know theres never tmi on this group haha! That's awesome - what are you temps looking like - have they increased yet? Not trying anything different this cycle, just gonna try and relax more (haha!)
