Hi Ladies,
I'm not sure if you've said before @orangeloo but have you tried Accupuncture?
@timswifey I'm with you on the running out of energy! Difficult to stop make it fun near the end of the fertile window 😄
@Annny27 let's hope it's an early ovulation for you!

@Wearyandfeelingold sorry to hear you're feeling so glum. I think we all go through that from time to time and it's hard to remain positive. I've found trying to focus on other areas of my life has made it a bit easier at times, also affirmations and therapeutic work really help.

Accupuncture last night was great, she's connected to all the IVF clinics in Birmingham so very experienced in fertility. A very thorough assessment (she said I need to increase protein even more!) and she focussed on getting good blood flow to my uterus and the spotting issue as she said implantation appears to be an issue. She also used a heat lamp over my uterus and lower back.
She was telling me how I'm China their attitude to fertility is so different to ours. They don't use any medication only Accupuncture and Chinese herbs. Also she said as Westerners we are far too much in a rush to conceive and need to practise patience and in China they accept it can take a few years for most people. She put some needles on points for my mind to help too and said getting our minds in the right place helps to with patience and positivity.

Wearyandfeelingold · 29/05/2020 12:45

@Kiza yes I think its only natural to get down a bit about it all sometimes. But you are right - need to focus on other things as well and try not to let it become my sole focus. I never thought getting pregnant would be as difficult. My mum and my sister both had children at my age so I am holding on to that. Thanks for your advice. Glad that the acupuncture went well for you.

Annny27 · 29/05/2020 13:00

@kiza yeah I try to keep my feet warm during the tww as apparently cold feet means cold uterus! So aids implantation if feet are warm

I will try boost my protein as well then! Glad the appointment went well

XjustagirlX · 29/05/2020 14:58

Hi everyone.

I’ve been away for a couple of months due to my ectopic. Luckily I decided to wait and see instead of having surgery or the injection. Thankfully it went away on its own but it was scary.

I ovulated within a couple of days of getting a negative pregnancy test. I waited for 1 AF and I am now about to ovulate again today and we are trying to replicate our previous strategy and hope it works again.

After being pregnant with the ectopic I noticed my symptoms were an implantation dip on bbt, bubbling feeling in tummy and also a peak on an ovulation test.

I’m actually finding I’m much more relaxed on furlough and lockdown so I’m hoping it will have us conceive as I’m significantly less stressed.

orangeloo · 30/05/2020 08:50

@Wearyandfeelingold sorry to hear you've been down. I've had a very bad week myself. Could not bear to be alone with my thoughts yesterday so had to try and keep busy constantly. Hope your are feeling g a bit brighter today.

@Kiza glad you enjoyed the acupuncture. I have tried it. I loved the relaxation of it. But it did not change my spotting or cycle whatsoever so I decided it was very expensive relaxation and maybe that money so be put towards treatments etc. I really wish it had worked for me though.

@XjustagirlX I'm glad things resolved themselves for you. It is a lot easier to fit all the bding in in FW being on furlough.

The spotting from Monday eased off but sadly never went away completely 12DPO bfn on an IC and FRER this morn so no more suppositories this cycle. I will speak to the clinic on Monday to see what next steps are and just try enjoy this sunny weekend. I'm glad I tested Thursday as this morning was a bit easier to take.

Hope you all have lovely weekend.

Annny27 · 30/05/2020 11:20

@XjustagirlX welcome back lovely. Glad you are ready to ttc again 🙌 what was your previous strategy that worked?

@orangeloo so sorry lovely :( did you do the progesterone tests this month the urine tests? Would have been interesting to see either the suppositories helped and it might be that the spotting isn't progesterone related

Kiza · 31/05/2020 16:17

@orangeloo oh I understand and yes you're right, super expensive just for a relaxing treatment. I wonder if there's a fertility Accupuncturist in your area that may work a bit differently? Sorry to hear you've been feeling so low and down, I think for you it's not just the infertility but also the fact you've been trying to fight so hard to get people to listen to your spotting and progesterone issue. Hope you're feeling a bit better today

@XjustagirlX lovely to have you back and that you didn't need to have any medical intervention. Any type of mc is bloody awful and comes with such a mixed bag of emotions that we can't prepare for. Glad that furlough is helping. I've found just working from home has taken a huge amount of stress from work and DP and I have had so much laughter and fun since both WFH.

@Annny27 yeah I'd heard about the feet being warm thing too! She also told me to stop buying all the supplements under the sun and a good folic acid and B vitamins is enough as high protein leafy green diet should suffice. It's hard to not take all my supps though as I've been on them for so long now!

Currently 4dpo (well I had 2 days of peak so never know which one to count it from?)

How's everyone's weekend been? Enjoying the sun and relaxing? Are any of you making plans to see friends/ family now some of the restrictions are lifted?

Lozzlepop · 01/06/2020 10:18

Hi ladies,

Happy Monday- I can’t believe it’s June, absolutely mental! Sorry for the radio silence last week was a crappy week as found out my job is being made redundant- so if I want to stay with the company I have to reapply for a job, still on furlough and all wedding plans are on hold so it’s been a bit meh!

@lizzie198 wow that’s amazing, I’ve never heard of that before- do you just do it yourself at home?

@Kiza no news from the hospital but we are only just into phase one here so we can meet other people outside but shops etc are mostly still shut! How are things with you?

@Annny27 still no idea when next tests are- guessing July at earliest. Hoping they can perform both at the same time to save multiple trips 🤞🏻How are you?

@XjustagirlX nice to see you back, hope you are doing well and recovering from the ectopic- I can’t begin to imagine how scary that must have been!

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the sun on this glorious Monday ☀️ Xx

lizzie198 · 01/06/2020 10:22

@Lozzlepop yep it's really cool.

We didn't manage to BD at all in this FWW so won't be in the TWW this time round.

Due to his eye DP managed to fall up the stairs and had a busted ankle to his woes.

Oh well nothing broken luckily so onto
Next month.

Hoping to see some bfps for everyone else though xx

Lozzlepop · 01/06/2020 10:42

@lizzie198 oh no what a shame, hope he’s ok?! Tbh it’s too warm to even sleep right now let alone DTD 🤣 x

Annny27 · 01/06/2020 14:00

Morning ladies! Got a very strong (not quite peak) opk today at cd13 so ovulation definitely on the way :) I haven't temped at all this cycle and feel much better for it. Its too stressful for me haha!

@Lozzlepop its our due date this week so feeling a little fragile about it but hope we can conceive quickly soon!

Sorry about your job:( hopefully there's something that you want to do in your company! My job has been redundant a few times but I have always found something else in the organisation which is nice

@kiza yep I spent the majority of my last tww with hot water bottle on my feet haha. Can't say I will be doing that in this heat....

@lizzie198 ahh thats a shame that you didn't manage to dtd in fertile window but it must be nice to have a stress free TWW for a change!

@orangeloo did AF arrive in full force?

Lozzlepop · 02/06/2020 16:22

@Annny27 sorry to hear that it’s your due date week- I know how hard it is are you doing anything to mark the date? We were away for our first due date as it was around our anniversary and was nice to take my mind off it. Thanks, I’ve applied for 2 roles so will just need to wait and see, kind of out of my control right now.

So the hospital just called, I’m getting to go in for my blood clotting test next week ☺️ So happy things are moving forward

Annny27 · 03/06/2020 09:58

@Lozzlepop with lockdown there's not really much we can do to celebrate the day but I am ovulating today so hopefully we can honour the day by making a rainbow baby 👶 🌈 haha!

Oh glad the blood clotting test is getting started - I remember you saying that you had a feeling that your issues are clotting related

Lottiepink · 04/06/2020 11:01

Morning everyone,

I literally cannot believe how quick the weeks are flying past! Everyone seems to think the same.
Been loving the sunshine, but the forecast for the next week is looking rubbish... may use the time to have a deep clean, only been doing the essentials to make the most of the sun on an afternoon 😂

@Annny27 aww sorry to hear it's your due date week, hope you are ok. And love the fact that you are ovulating, will keep my fingers crossed for you. Be so nice if this was your month 😊

@Lozzlepop that's rubbish about work, at least you have been able to re-apply for other jobs though, hopefully things work out and you get one of them! Are the other jobs something that you had fancied anyways? Excellent news that the tests are re-started too 😊

@lizzie198 your poor DP, not a good week for him!

@XjustagirlX hope you are ok, and it's good that you sound relaxed, hope things work out for you soon 😊

@orangeloo sorry to hear that, did you manage to speak to someone on Monday?

orangeloo · 04/06/2020 16:38

Hi all
@Annny27 @Lozzlepop @kiza sorry for delay been busy and wallowing haha

Today is not a good day. Cycle 22 cd2. Just got off from a phone consultationwith a consultant ). What a waste of money, filled out loads of forms last night with my history etc. Then get on the phone and he asks me all questions that were on the forms. I HATE that. I wanted a different solution to try this month. I don’t want any IUI or IVF procedure to be wasted by me still spotting despite being on progesterone. I want a solution before I get that far. He just advised me to try again with the pessaries. I will as I have nothing else to try or loose. I can be referred by nhs in July/August so will wait for that now and have tube test and hopefully hysteroscopy. If nothings found I will push for trigger shots too. Also OH is being a real dick today. Gimme a break

@kiza 8DPO, how are you getting on?

@Lozzlepop so sorry to hear about your job. I've been made redundant twice before. It sucks.

@lizzie198 sorry to hear you're out this month. Your poor OH- hope he recovers quickly.

@Annny27 sorry to hear it's your due date time. FX for your rainbow 🌈 this cycle.

whatsthecraic91 · 04/06/2020 20:07

@Annny27 sorry about it being your due date week, hope you're okay ❤️ really wishing you all the luck for your rainbow 🌈

Baby dust to all the ladies too👶❤️x

Annny27 · 04/06/2020 21:40

evening everyone:) had a letter from my fertility clinic today and they said they won't be doing any tests until a further 6 months.....so basically they counted by pregnancy end date as the start of the 12 month referral period which is a bit annoying! But I guess they are thinking that I conceived before so there's no reason why it won't happen again but still frustrating!

@Lottiepink yeah the weeks so so quick in lockdown haha. Especially when you are working from home!

@orangeloo sorry that the consultant wasn't very helpful - did you do any self progesterone tests (the urine ones you did) in your last cycle?

@whatsthecraic91 thanks lovely! Hopefully we will be joining you as part of the pregnant gang soon! How's baby doing?

whatsthecraic91 · 04/06/2020 22:02

@Annny27 that sucks they are making you wait another 6 months 😓 but hopefully it happens soon and you won't need any tests!!

Not really sure a lot of cramping and spotting the last few days, EPU won't bring me in so I have another scan booked for Saturday, really hope everything's okay in there!

Annny27 · 05/06/2020 09:29

Yes I hope its not needed and that I conceive naturally!

@whatsthecraic91 oh I hope all is okay lovely! I have said before that I had 0 bleeding and 0 cramps (after the first few weeks) but my baby had unknowingly stopped growing so I don't think its necessarily bad news if you have those symptoms. Fingers crossed everything is okay xxx

whatsthecraic91 · 05/06/2020 10:14

@Annny27 thank you, I am so worried 😓 I will you know how it goes x

orangeloo · 05/06/2020 11:46

@Annny27 thank you. No I didn't use them as just thought of course they will be positive as I'm supplementing progesterone. But I will test when I try them again just to check I'm absorbing it I guess. Only have one left but that will be enough.

@whatsthecraic91 really hope everything is okay. Let us know. X

Lozzlepop · 05/06/2020 12:59

Hi ladies, happy Friday!

@Annny27 Awww that’s a lovely thought, I’ll keep everything crossed for you. Thanks lovely- just glad that things have started up again, at least we’ll be getting things back on track! That’s really frustrating about the clinic I know you must be disappointed 😔

@Lottiepink the weather is a stark contrast to last weekend 😢 I didn’t clean much last week either 😂 So one job is basically the job I do but is now a management position and the other is a demotion to the job I used to do 🙈 will just need to wait and see.

@orangeloo Urgh that’s the worst- it’s so frustrating when that happens isn’t it? Do the pessaries maybe take a few months to kick in and change things? What’s DH been upto? Yeah I’ve been made redundant before too Hun it’s rubbish 😒

@whatsthecraic91 I hope you are ok hun, some spotting is normal early on, why won’t EPU see you? I hope all goes well tomorrow ❤️

Anyone upto much over the weekend? Xx

whatsthecraic91 · 05/06/2020 19:03

@orangeloo thank you, I will update tomorrow!

@Lozzlepop they won't bring people in because of this coronavirus crap. The only way they would see me is if I am soaking a pad 🙄 really strange time to be pregnant, I don't even have anyone to call as I don't get a midwife until my first appointment which isn't until 12+4. Feeling very neglected by our NHS at this time.

LAG1986 · 06/06/2020 01:14

Hi everyone. Had to have a bit of a read. Havent been here for a while. So I'm not on month 4 of trying. We are going for the more laid back approach this month. See if that works. Haha xx

Annny27 · 06/06/2020 11:23

Morning:)

@whatsthecraic91 thinking of you today! Hope that baby is all good :D

@orangeloo yeah it will be interesting to see if the progesterone is getting absorbed okay!

@Lozzlepop yeah its disappointing that they won't see me :/ but guess its good news that they don't think I need it just yet.....my wishful thinking haha

@LAG1986 fingers crossed the laid back approach works!!!
