This is my 5th month since the miscarriage so I am a little impatient to conceive now and move forward

Fizzl · 15/03/2020 12:21

@milscookie not gona lie it has become much more scheduled and 'let's get the job done' more than anything else but hey ho whatever works hopefully 😂. Ah hopefully you will know either way by the Friday! And a hen do will be a good way to cheer yourself up if it is negative. I've really scaled back on the drinking front (can't say I'm feeling this new lease of life like I hoped but I'm sure it must be doing some good) but I will certainly be enjoying a glass or two if AF arrives.

@ChampooPapi looks like you covered all bases well! I think so long as you got a few positives ones so know you were roughly timing things right it doesn't matter about doing them the rest of the month. Good luck I hope this is your month!

MilsCookie · 15/03/2020 15:10

@ChampooPapi hey lovely. I know it's tough. I'm only on cycle 3 since the miscarriage and getting impatient myself too. I don't understand why it doesn't just happen if you're both healthy, you ovulate and you dtd at the right time! It looks like you've given it a good chance this month so I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you that cycle 5 is lucky for you!! Sending you all the baby dust I can muster xxxxxxx

@Fizzl It's definitely become a bit like that for us too although we don't talk about the fact I am ovulating or anything (to avoid pressure on DP) but I write 'fertile week' in our shared calendar app so he knows roughly when it's time. I wish it was a lot more romantic and how you imagine it to be, but when you're so desperate for something to happen and you're feeling the pressure it just isn't!!

This month I made sure I orgasmed when we were dtd (sorry if TMI!) as I had read that this can help your cervix 'dip' and pull the sperm towards the uterus! I used to be able to climax fairly easily but the last couple of months I haven't because I've just been feeling too pressured. I really had to focus this month Grin to make sure that I did haha... so hopefully that will help!! Do other people find it hard to orgasm when TTC or just me?!

Whiffle77 · 15/03/2020 15:14

Yeah we are the same @Fizzl which is a bit sad but it is what it is! We just said it will be nice to do it "for fun" next week ha. Hoping it works this month as I'm not sure we can do it this much every month!!
I find opks hard too @ChampooPapi but still do them for a bit more info around when I'm fertile, but before MC they just confirmed what my apps said anyway!

Whiffle77 · 15/03/2020 15:16

I'm the same @MilsCookie as I def dont O probably 75% of the time now...I too much pressure, but at the same time I've stopped putting pressure on myself as it only really matters if he does 😂 just made peace with the fact that it isnt all flowers and romance like you say...

Annny27 · 15/03/2020 17:11

@whiffle77 I dont think any of us are "casually and romantically" ttc in this group haha. It's a full blown army mission at our house 🤣

@MilsCookie yeah if your opk when to high or low after peak then pretty clear you have ovulated :) My cm turns creamy as opposed to watery/eggwhite as well after ovulation. You are dedicated morning and night DTD- I cba haha!

@fizzl whoop! Yep 1dpo tomorrow for you then! Yeah the month we conceived we only DTD three times as well so maybe 3s the lucky charm

@ChampooPapi wishing you all the luck for cycle 5 🤞🤞 yep looks like you DTD optimal times so that's good :D

ChampooPapi · 15/03/2020 17:23

Thanks ladies 💜 @Annny27 @MilsCookie ♥️ I am just always so grateful when I come on here and see you both xx

@Whiffle77 this is the first month of trying an app so if I'm on the April bus will probably keep tracking on there, it's a bit nerdy and adds a feeling of control which feels positive after the loss. Guess that's why they are satisfying to use for us women in particular, after loosing any feeling of power and control over the whole conception thing since our losses.

@Fizzl I always feel like I've not done the deed enough even when it has been pretty regularly throughout my cycle, especially in the last week before af, will be wishing and hoping this whole week!

shhhhs · 15/03/2020 17:35

Will you test before AF due @champoopapi?

ChampooPapi · 15/03/2020 19:32

Hey @shhhhs, I am absolutely not testing before I'm at least a few days late. I am hopeful but pragmatic as well. How are you getting on this cycle? Are you due to test the end of March?

shhhhs · 15/03/2020 19:41

@Champapi I wish I could be like that 🤦 I'll be 14DPO on Friday, my app says AF due the following Monday. My cycle is crazily out of the norm this time though (first full cycle since MC) so I wouldn't be surprised if it showed up at any time. I have some cheapies tests at home which i will probably use midweek.

Buttons2019 · 15/03/2020 21:26

My period did nt come back for 6 week's I did ovulate as I had my hormone profile and Dr advised ovulation had taken place

Happyasbarry · 15/03/2020 22:42

@Hayleylou89 hi lovely, any good news? Two weeks till we try again and I bought a ton of vits. Got my husband on them too. Xx

Hayleylou89 · 16/03/2020 08:22

@happyasbarry

Nope cd 9 and still bfn... had no internet cheapies left to test but had asda own ones but still bfn, so im expecting AF at the weekend now just thinking im out this month now, as last time a digital said 1-2 weeks at this stage for me xx

Daffodil21 · 16/03/2020 08:29

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit of a lurker here and wondering if I can join.

This is our first month trying again after a loss in September and November last year. My cycles took until now to get back to 'normal' (they vary but average 36 day's) but we are now back in the TWW stage. I have not missed this!

I'm sorry everyone in this thread has found themselves here Daffodil

Hayleylou89 · 16/03/2020 08:40

@Daffodil21

Good luck... and so sorry for ur losses 💖

shhhhs · 16/03/2020 08:50

@Hayleylou89 I definitely wouldn't count yourself out just yet, 9DPO is very early to get a positive, even if you have in the past. Hopefully you'll get a different result in a few days

ChampooPapi · 16/03/2020 11:20

80% of women are pregnant by 6 months so this is that stat I'm focusing on this week. I will try in April, 4th of may was my due date so I think I should give it a good shot next month 💪

Annny27 · 16/03/2020 11:25

@champoopapi someone on another thread I am on said to not think of it as "trying to conceive" think of it as "ready to receive" and I actually love that! We are all ready 💗

Hayleylou89 · 16/03/2020 13:20

@shhhs i know i shouldnt count myself out im feeling sorry for myself just comparing to last time and i shouldnt but i just dont feel like i did last time either but 4 days to go until AF is due and ill know 🙏 xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 16/03/2020 15:14

@Annny27 love that :)

ChampooPapi · 16/03/2020 16:24

@Annny27 funnily enough this morning I said to myself when I was looking in my bathroom mirror 'I am ready for this'

Not once in the past 5 months since the miscarriage have I actually thought that or said that.

A million times I've thought 'i want this' or 'i need this' , or even 'why can't I have this!'

Really resonated with me @Anny27, thank you ♥️

scrumdiddly123 · 16/03/2020 16:39

Hi @Daffodil21 sorry you find yourself here. I’ve also had 2 losses in the last few months. Wishing you luck!
So after counting myself out thinking AF was here early, the bleeding has tapered off and only having v light brown spotting! So I’m still hanging onto a tiny bit of hope (but not much as I never spot before a BFP but do sometimes before AF)
Anyway, 8dpo today and just tested, of course BFN 🤦‍♀️ Not really got any symptoms
Apart from feeling a bit light headed at times. @Hayleylou89 when is AF due must be similar to mine (Saturday)? Any symptoms?

Hayleylou89 · 16/03/2020 17:08

@scrumdiddly123

In 9dpo and due AF sat just like u .. i was getting little pokey pains in my ovaries ob left side but hardly anything else now really, my test this morning was the biggest bfn and i was disheartened just because i had bfp last time at this stage, iv only got cb test and frer left so ill use the clear blue tomorrow morning and keep the frer ...i dont have AF symtoms or pregnancy symtoms really iv got creamy cm and my temps still been raised which is good.. soon as it drops ill know AF is coming. X

Annny27 · 16/03/2020 17:32

Did you see that pregnant women are advised to stay at home because of coronavirus- gonna be a weird start to pregnancy if any of us catch this month!!

@SunnySideUp2020 @ChampooPapi yes it's a lovely sentiment isnt it 💗

Whiffle77 · 16/03/2020 17:41

Yes @Annny27 that is pretty much what my acupuncture therapist said to me! She said she was opening me up so I was ready to receive 💞 it made me laugh at the time but it's a far nicer concept than ttc
