BFP in mornings, BFN in afternoon/evenings helppp!

Hi  might be a bit of a long one but I’m just so confused. We have been TTC#1 for 2.5years now. I have always used one step 10miu internet cheapie pregnancy tests but this month I ordered some different ones which are Clinical Guard ones and are supposedly 20miu.

I track ovulation on the Fertility Friend app and put my temps on there daily and also when I’ve had positive opk’s. The app has put ovulation as the 10th of Feb.

So because I hadn’t used this new brand of cheapies before I took one test on 4dpo and 5dpo with FMU, I knew they would obviously be negative but just wanted to see if they were bad for evaps etc so I didn’t get my hopes up nearer the time of testing. These were both white negative.

6DPO yesterday so I took another cheapie with FMU again and thought nothing of it, until it came up with a light but very clear pink 2nd line. I was completely shocked so kept taking them throughout the day yesterday but they all came back negative. So obviously I thought that one yesterday morning was either a severely bad evap or a dodgy test. So this morning with FMU I dipped three of them instead of the one, and all three have come back with a clear pink line, one is fainter than the other two, and those two are darker than yesterday’s.

Now I really don’t know what to believe we have been trying for 2.5years and I just feel like these tests have me more confused than ever, anyone been through the same please?

Oh OP that’s so tough. Hope you are cosy on the sofa with a massive hot chocolate/gin/whatever you like and something good to watch.

Has your period actually started yet op? False positives are very rare. Sorry it's been such a confusing time for you!

Yeah it has, 40 false positives over 6 days us TTC has come to an end now after an unsuccessful 2.5years it’s just too much x

I’m sorry Op 🙁 I know how hard it all is so don’t be alone. Here if you need to talk. It may be worth you visiting the docs to see what’s going on though. Just explain what’s happened. They may offer some blood tests and support x

Hi OP, if you change your mind and try again save yourself all that heartache and stress and wait until your period is due to test. Work is important to you I get that but what a lot of angst you caused yourself. Tests are simply not reliable too early.
