Hello! I am new to this forum & wanted to chat to anyone testing around the same time as me at the beginning of Feb!
Going off the app I use I am about to ovulate so will be DTD lots over the next week!
I have been TTC for around 5/6 months now but haven't discussed with friends or family so hoping to feel better by discussing with people in the same situation

@Kaylab2489 I’m really sorry about your miscarriage, that must have been awful for you.

Regarding cervical mucus, have you ever tried pre-seed? I used it to help conceive my first baby. I have no idea how responsible it was for actually conceiving. But if you have little EWCM it might be really helpful to you?

Supper16 · 22/01/2020 11:25

Hello, can I join please? AF is due 4th Feb. I am in a similar situ to many of you, this is my first month TTC #2 with a busy toddler and both of us working full time. Sexytimes are sometimes hard(!) to come (!) by (hahaha I am so funny Grin). However we did fit in a well timed DTD on cd13 and I have v regular 28/29 day cycles so hopefully it is enough. 2DPO today.

I am not a fan of testing early / forking out loads of money on tests, and prefer to wait till a missed period but will be watching everyone else with excitement!!

Talcott2007 · 22/01/2020 12:35

Help I just need a bit of sympathy! I think I'm coming down with a lurgy! woke up with that suspicious tingle in the back of the throat, awful sour hollow feeling in my stomach and general meh-ness that
has the potential to develop into something impressive over the next 48hrs!

I had that awful virus thingy doing the rounds that absolutely wiped me out for two weeks at the end of Nov/early Dec - which also aligned with a +ve pregnancy test (that ultimately turned out to be a CP) but meant that I obviously couldn't even take any good drugs!

Only officially on DPO2 (although i think i actually O'd early this month) either way I don't want to risk having anything other than paracetamol but surely I can't owed another illness so soon!

Trying to hold onto he power of positive thinking but all I really want to do is go home and hind under the duvet for the rest of the day!!

MummyMooCow · 22/01/2020 12:46

Meeeeeee! I am due on the 3rd so if my period doesn't arrive I'll be testing on the 5th 😁 I've not been trying very long, we started trying end of November so our first month TTC was December. I'm trying to not get my hopes up but I can't help it 😅

MummyMooCow · 22/01/2020 16:02

@Talcott2007 - you have my sympathy, it's awful being poorly 😢

Kaylab2489 · 22/01/2020 22:38

@kittywindbag yeah was horrendous I won't lie 😣
So iv got the seven seas trying to conceive tablets which I'm going to try.. However.. I had ewcm yesterday and day before and last night and today iv had really watery cm 🤞 so have dtd this evening in hope I may have caught the end of fertile window.. Ovia app said I should have ovulated Saturday but I'm not so sure also had some niggly feeling in ovaries last night and today so hopefully one little sperm will be successful lol 🤞🙈

KittyWindbag · 22/01/2020 22:57

Good luck, @Kaylab2489. I often find my ovia
App to be a little out. They really rely on the average cycle and my info updates don’t seem to alter their predictions for picnic. I use ovia and clue as general period trackers but follow my own ovulation pain as well.

KittyWindbag · 22/01/2020 22:57

*my cycle, not picnic Hmm

uisage · 23/01/2020 07:41

@Kaylab2489 Good luck! I like to imagine the fertilised egg travelling down the fallopian tube and nestling into the wall of the uterus.

TTC involves so much waiting, which I'm not good at!

paintfairy · 23/01/2020 09:13

Clue is always way out for me. Flo is more accurate. Usually I don't check but I did bbt and opk and they point to when flo does. Clue is 4 days behind?

KittyWindbag · 23/01/2020 09:16

I log my data every cycle and clue tends to be accurate for me yet Ovia isn’t? It’s a mystery tbh!

Wilsonicus · 23/01/2020 11:23

I'm 1dpo, so hopefully the timing was right. AF due on 6th of Feb. Although I have PCOS so who knows anymore! It would be a lovely Valentines Day present for us if we finally manage it this time!!!

uisage · 23/01/2020 11:24

I just use a free app, it assumes the fertile window is on days 11 to 17. Not very scientific! But helps avoid stress.

I have a bit of a moral quandry here - there's a job advertised that I could apply for and have an extremely good chance at getting. Do I apply hoping that I'll be pregnant before I even get the interview?

paintfairy · 23/01/2020 11:39

Ovia- it didn't plot when I ovulated. The window was correct once I manually added my ovulation day. But that's pretty pointless?!

KittyWindbag · 23/01/2020 13:54

@uisage that’s so weird I’m in exactly the same position. It’s not a dream job but we could do with the money. It’s a job that would be quite hard to do during the tougher phases of pregnancy.

Kaylab2489 · 23/01/2020 14:52

Iv had some pain down on my left side ovary just now 🙈 I don't know what's going on or what lol.. Would you ladies say I'm now 1 dpo? After yesterday's events x

uisage · 23/01/2020 20:12

@KittyWindbag Are you my double? 😂 It's for another job in my department, I know the team that's advertising it and they're all men who don't have families. So the news that I would be going on maternity wouldn't be well received. Plus coasting through my current job would be a lot easier. What are you thinking?

KittyWindbag · 23/01/2020 23:11

@Kaylab2489 could be! If it feels like your regular ovulation pain. I hope so 🤞

@uisage Similar, taking mat leave would not go down well in this position. I don’t live in the UK, the attitudes to pregnant employees is more nakedly crap than it is in the UK where they at least have to pretend not to discriminate.

I tend to think I should always apply for jobs regardless and then deal with the fall out if I’m successful. It feels wrong to turn down opportunities based on a pregnancy that may not even happen. But at the same time I do worry. The timing is so dramatic! Haha.

uisage · 24/01/2020 09:06

@KittyWindbag I'm so torn! I could put in an application and then decide if I'm successful. My CV is up to date, it wouldn't take too much time to do. It just seems dishonest. I am working on the assumption that I will get pregnant quickly - I know it's not a guarantee just because I did last time, but it doesn't hurt to be optimistic!

I did wonder how you had the energy to post after 11! If you're in a different time zone, that explains it... My husband was up till 10 last night sending work emails, we needed to DTD last night because we won't get chance today. So a quickie for us last night, and a late night of 10:20.

Kaylab2489 · 24/01/2020 09:09

@kittywindbag I really am. Hoping so 🤞🤞🤞 x

Nat4392 · 24/01/2020 19:24

Got my positive OPK tonight, planning on keeping DH locked in the bedroom for a few days 😂 and so the 2WW begins...

KittyWindbag · 24/01/2020 22:53

@uisage I understand completely, but we shouldn’t feel guilty, we may not even be pregnant and if we are, that’s not a crime. It’s a fucking lot to carry on your shoulders! I’ve applied for mine, I may not get it. I may get it. I may be pregnant, I may not. So much depends on the space of a few weeks, it’s exhausting.

Yes, I live in Asia, absolutely no way I’d be up farting about on the internet at gone 11, don’t even think I remember what 11pm looks like. Guess that’ll change if I do get pregnant. ConfusedConfused

uisage · 25/01/2020 09:27

@Nat4392 Sending positive thoughts your way! My 2WW has just started too.

@KittyWindbag I got half way through the application and then had to stop to do sone work. Will try again on Monday, deadline is a week on Sunday. I am not relishing the thought of newborn and toddler. I got by last time because DS would have a lie in till 8, not going to happen again because he wakes at 6 at the moment.

CocoW · 26/01/2020 19:00

How is everyone?

I am so over waiting to test already & its not even a full week yet. AF due a week tomorrow but think I'll start testing on Friday & over the weekend with a FRER🤞🏼

Nat4392 · 26/01/2020 19:46

@CocoW good luck!
My AF is due around the 5th I think, my cycles have been pretty short and my LP is only around 9-10 days. At least it makes the TWW slightly less 🙈
On the downside I think all this DTD has landed me with a UTI 😫
