Hi :)

I was on a previous thread with some fab women but can't seem to find the thread or know how to do it on my phone so starting a new one as I REALLY need some advice / help / calming down have just spilt foundation on a cream carpet (not the reason I am freaking out)

I randomly decided to pick up some tests in sainburys (just their own brand pack) but I knew it wouldn't / couldn't be positive as according to my phone app I was due to ovulate (sorry girls still haven't got the lingo) and then THIS HAPPENED ... yup still sat on the bedroom floor looking at the foundation stain and staring at this test (drinking a pint of water to try and test again) is this what I think it is???? AF due in 3/4 days ... Did the deed ONCE over the xmas period (due to staying in family and friends homes so didn't even think this could be possible)

I have attached the pic I took literally 40 seconds after I went from the bathroom to the bedroom ...

I AM FREAKING OUT ... just signed up to the great north run (last night) and booked a skiing holiday ...

don't get me wrong I would be beyond over the moon but arghhhhhh just freaking out, girls help!!!

xxxx

Absolutely! Congratulations that's definitely a BFP

eachbeach · 07/01/2020 18:07

Congratulations! DC 3 is a result of a month when we DTD once and according to my monitoring we couldn't be PG. Go get a clear blue first response we !

K8113 · 07/01/2020 18:24

@eachbeach just been to Tesco and bought clear blue and their own and some strip things ... I'm absolutely gutted but the clear blue says not pregnant.... before I went to the shops I drank a shed load of water do you think this is why??? I'm gutted and now in tears ... so brutal!!!

You may not have enough hcg for the clear blue, can you get hold of a first response? Pink dye tests are better than blue dye! Lots of luck

K8113 · 07/01/2020 19:01

@MrsCl19 ah really! Had no idea ... I looked in Tesco but they didn't stock them annoyingly! Argh this is such an emotional rollercoaster will keep you updated and thanks for replying :) xx

MrsCl19 · 07/01/2020 19:25

@K8113 yes please do really hoping it's a bfp for you!

CleverQuacks · 07/01/2020 19:32

Try testing first thing tomorrow morning using the first wee of the day because the HCG levels are often stronger then.

ec1993 · 07/01/2020 19:47

Blue dyes are horrible but I'd say they are definitely positive! You may be too early to get a positive on a CB digital. Definitely get a first response! Good luck and keep us updated! X

ec1993 · 07/01/2020 19:48

Also the fact that you just randomly picked them up then did one! I've only ever did this when I've been pregnant, it's like a sixth sense! And two of my pregnancies have been from DTD once all month and no ovulation tracking! X

K8113 · 07/01/2020 20:01

@ec1993 literally no idea why I did as AF isn't due for another 4 days and have no symptoms but I swear those lines are so obvious ... hence I'm so gutted about the clear Blue ...so going to try again in the morning and go on search of a first response will keep you updated and thank you so much for responding :) so appreciates

Sammyclaire22 · 07/01/2020 20:04

Ignore the digital... I got a bfp on a frer and a cheapie days before the digital said positive. Good luck! X

K8113 · 07/01/2020 20:08

@Sammyclaire22 thanks hun! Argh just want to see the positive again but literally peeing water so probably wouldn't snow on anything

ec1993 · 07/01/2020 20:18

@K8113 honestly I totally get that because I have done it with all of my pregnancies 😂 definitely a feeling, we just know!

Is there any late night pharmacies near you? We have a 24 hour boots where we can buy stuff through the window, many times I've been there at 1am buying first responses 😂 xx

K8113 · 07/01/2020 20:38

@ec1993 annoyingly no ... the closest is 1 hour away .... I'm actually tempted hahaha only kidding but wow I'm just a full bag of mixed emotions incredibly tempted to pour G&T but then look at those positive tests and resist! I was full on convinced they were positive as thought they looked so obvious .... argggggh!

This would / j hope is my first so I probably sound super pathetic but just feeling a little lost right now xx

lostfrequencies · 07/01/2020 20:53

Ah best of luck, I hope you manage to get your hands on an FRER and they show you what you want to see x

ec1993 · 07/01/2020 21:00

@K8113 honestly you do not sound pathetic. I've been pregnant lots of times but have recurrent miscarriages so I've experienced what you're feeling lots and I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant now. I've got everything crossed for you and will keep an eye out for an update! Lots of love and luck 💕🤞🏻

MrsCl19 · 07/01/2020 21:03

@K8113 do you have a Superdrug? They usually sell them:)

Lazydaisydaydream · 07/01/2020 21:05

Digital tests need a higher level of the pregnancy hormone to say "pregnant" and work much better with morning urine. If you've got another digital I'd do it on Thursday morning. Tomorrow try and get a first response if you can't wait another day.... But honestly those tests look like really clear positives!

May2020 · 07/01/2020 21:08

You're definitely pregnant OP. A positive is a positive and you've had two! The digital tests need higher levels of hcg in order to pick up. Congratulations you're going to be a mummy! Flowers

K8113 · 07/01/2020 21:11

Girls honestly thank you so much for your support 💕@Lazydaisydaydream @ec1993 @MrsCl19 going to hit up super drug and boots tomorrow that's for sure to get the first response.

Not going to lie I'm even more confused now having been looking at people saying that Sainsbury's are really unreliable and they do loads of false positives 😫😫😫 not sure what to think ... arghhhh

Yes I got dual pack of the clear blue so really hope tomorrow morning has a positive but even scared to do it in case it doesn't!

Just went back upstairs to look back at the tests and the lines are SO obvious!

Btw so so so appreciate you girls responding and helping out :) really making me feel better xx

Whyhaveidonethis · 07/01/2020 21:12

You are pregnant. Yay. The digital tests take ages before the others (I think they are 50 hcg rather than 20 of the others)

Monkey500 · 07/01/2020 21:21

I went skiing when I was pregnant didn't do a half marathon though. All was well but I don't fall over much.

K8113 · 07/01/2020 21:25

@Monkey500 haha thank you! To be fair hate running with a passion and was sat at the dining room table and thought f it why not ... then took the test this morning!!! It's turning out to be an eventful start to the year!

Trying to not get my hopes up yet as the clear blue was negative BUT keeping positive as so many have said my pregnancy hormone might be low as it's later on in the day!

OP posts:
ninecoronas · 07/01/2020 21:27

Looks like a tentative congrats...Smile
FWIW, I went skiing at 12 weeks, no problem and my very no nonsense German GP said it was fine. Just took it easy, laid off the drink and had a nice nap each afternoon!
Great North Run though....that's hardcore!
