Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

@Posharmchairs I heard about Femometer through threads on here and I think it's fab. I only use the free version but there's not a chance i would've been able to work things out without them pictures, the apps working out and the tips it gives.

MimiArm · 25/01/2020 23:05

Well I should now be 4DPO, soon to be 5. Had this horrible chest infection all week which seems to be easing now but still on antibiotics for another two days.

Boobs still really sore and itchy today and low tummy cramps, which switch from right side to left side.

I've still been having small amounts of EWCM. Anyone else having that?

whatsthecraic91 · 25/01/2020 23:47

@Posharmchairs I use femometer and have the thermometer to do with - it is fab! I pay for the full version but I got it just after new year half price for £27 for the 12 months - would defo recommend

2020wisher · 26/01/2020 07:29

Hi everyone, luckily I’m having a really busy weekend so no obsessing (yet!)

I’m totally still drinking 😂 although I don’t drink much. Also enjoyed a cheese board last night. Might be different if we’d been TTC for a while I guess. Only thing I have cut down on is caffeine, which is a good thing as I’m an addict. Had withdrawal for a good week but now I’m on 1-2 cups a day 👍🏻

Posharmchairs · 26/01/2020 08:31

@whatsthecraic91I’m sorry to see you here. Solidarity chocolate and Gins whilst we get af out the way 💐

Will look up Femometre thanks! I have a fancy thermometer i used for temping with ds. But I was still capable of making mega graphs and covering gcse chemistry lessons. Now I’m more make a sandwich and explain what mr tumble has in his spotty bag 😑.

Af is being horrific, so charming of her.

Alcohol wise, obviously it’s personal preference. With ttc our first we were under an obgyn for ovulation issues amongst other things, he actually told us to have a glass of nice wine on the evenings we were going to dtd to reduce stress of wishing it to work.

notetaker · 26/01/2020 09:16

Looks like I’ve got a lot to catch up on!
A sad hello to @Posharmchairs and @whatsthecraic91, and also Flowers for the PP who’s having a tough time with her DP (sorry, I can’t find your post now! Will keep looking...)
Glad to see everyone’s holding it together so far 😂
@MimiArm yeah I’m still getting a little bit of EWCM too. Trying so hard not to symptom spot this month though, I’d convinced myself I was pregnant last month only for it to be the worst PMS of my life!

Woke up this morning to another pregnancy announcement on Facebook. Always feel like an awful person when my first thought is “fuck off” and not “congratulations”!

whatsthecraic91 · 26/01/2020 09:41

@Posharmchairs oh yes I had a bottle of red and chocolate last night I’m feeling it a bit this morning 😅 mine was being a bitch yesterday but this morning so far so good but I haven’t got out of bed yet so we’ll see 🤣 hope you enjoyed some gins last night?

@notetaker Facebook announcers fuck me off too. It’s one thing I won’t be doing as I think it is highly insensitive as you don’t know who’s suffering out there

notetaker · 26/01/2020 09:56

@whatsthecraic91 I totally agree. As can the commenters - FIL is being particularly bad at the moment. We have him a lift the other week and his first comment on getting the car was “I bet you could get three car seats in the back!” It’s well meaning but still...

Also still in bed. Not even sorry 😂

MimiArm · 26/01/2020 09:57

@notetaker thanks, that's reassuring it's not just me.

I'm gonna try and keep busy this week to distract myself. I'm finding it hard to not symptom spot, more so because I've been on mini pill and so haven't had a period in ages - I forget what pms symptoms feel like!

The pessimistic side of me also fears that the clearblue OPK was wrong when it gave the peak smiley and so I haven't even ovulated. If I had have had a period first I would have felt more reassured but none since stopping mini pill in mid dec.

I don't blame you with the "fuck off" thought on the FB post!

MrsTwentySeven · 26/01/2020 10:04

Good morning ladies

@notetaker @MimiArm @whatsthecraic91 I agree with social media posts haha ...I'm constantly seeing baby showers on my instagram feeds. I think most people are just immature and don't even stop to think whether their friends / family are struggling.

I have a really bad cold this morning 4dpo...doesn't mean a thing I know haha. I'm having one coffee a day...not really cutting down! Thankfully not a fan of alcohol (except baileys on occasion ) ...

We can do this!

MrsTwentySeven · 26/01/2020 10:06

@posharmchairs are you from the US? That's so cool - I'm so silly and assumed everyone here is from the UK 😂 can't even blame a "baby brain" Hmm

Posharmchairs · 26/01/2020 10:08

Ah Facebook announcements are a bit hard. On the one hand it’s very happy news and it is exciting for the couple. However also get the fuck off feeling.
When we were ttc we went to visit a friend who had a newborn. Bought lovely gifts, waited 6 weeks before asking to see them. Look a load of groceries and tried really hard to be helpful. It was a 3 hour journey and we stayed in a hotel so as not to burden them. They knew we were in fertility hell.
Went on to give me a cuppa in a “I’m a new mummy” mug and not let us hold the baby as he was learning to self soothe 😢.

People can be very blinded when they are in their own baby bubble. I’m sure I was probably guilty of it when I had ds.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday. We are off to a family birthday so that’s another sugar free day out there window!

MrsTwentySeven · 26/01/2020 10:09

Also OP @elmlee how are you? Any updates ? :)

Posharmchairs · 26/01/2020 10:32

@MrsTwentySeven ah no I’m thoroughly British in that I am really awkward about eating the last biscuit, love a good queue and try to resolve the worlds problems over a nice cup of tea!

I’m assuming I abbreviated correctly, we were under an obstetrician gynaecologist via the nhs for several reasons, the main one being I was only ovulating twice a year a one point!

notetaker · 26/01/2020 10:41

@Posharmchairs That’s ridiculously insensitive. But I understand what you mean about people being in a bubble - I only have to look at one of my unhappily unmarried friends to feel a bit guilty about sharing so many wedding photos online, for example.

@MimiArm On the subject of absolutely not symptom spotting (no sir, not me) I’ve got some lower abdominal pain today that I’ll definitely be tracking in my app 😂 it feels like muscle pain, maybe all those sit ups I’m doing are paying off (yeah right...)

professorastrocat · 26/01/2020 10:44

Morning all! I totally agree about social media posts, I tend to stay off it for that among other reasons!

@Posharmchairs sounds like you were so considerate visiting your friend with a newborn - many people aren't and you feel the visitor overload!

I am very impressed by people's cutting caffeine / alcohol down....and the pp who has quit smoking (sorry I can't remember who)....we really do commit ourselves to this as women don't we ❤️

Wise0wl · 26/01/2020 10:57

Hello, late to the party but please can I join?

TTC#1, cycle 3, CD18, BFP/AF due 8th Feb.

Came off the pill in April and had regular periods right up until TTC 🙃 and since then have had quite a bit of unexplained spotting.

Went to the doctor this week who gave me an impromptu check of my cervix (so embarrassed about my hairy legs as was not expecting this!) and a referral for an internal ultrasound.

Continuing to DTD with enthusiasm in the meantime. Have used CB digital OPKs this month and got a static smiley on Friday morn.

I hope you’re all having lovely weekends and this is a lucky bus!

MrsTwentySeven · 26/01/2020 10:58

@posharmchairs haha! I do not doubt your Britishness at all ...you had me at the last biscuit 😂 Btw your story about your friend...you were so kind and considerate. People truly can be blinded, you're so right.

Ladies why am I downloading "how to grow a baby and push it out "....why why why

Also it's annoying me I have no symptoms to share with you allBlush

MimiArm · 26/01/2020 11:07

@notetaker hahaha! Snap. Exact same symptom here. Can we POAS yet?! 🙈

@Wise0wl Welcome to the Feb bus and here's hoping it is a lucky one! Congrats on your Friday smiley face and 🤞

@MrsTwentySeven I laughed out loud at your download Grin

I keep flashing my boobs at OH and saying "do they look any different yet, do they, do they". Each time without fail he goes "they're nice". I'm not asking if they're nice, do they look any different!! 🙈

notetaker · 26/01/2020 12:05

Step away from the pee sticks everyone!
Hi @Wise0wl 👋 fingers crossed for a lucky bus!
@MrsTwentySeven nothing wrong with that, no such thing as being too prepared 😂
Oh @MimiArm, bless your DH!

Anon87 · 26/01/2020 12:29

Can I jump on the symptom bandwagon?

According to app, yesterday, 1dpo - belly feeling like I've done some sit ups (maybe the recent exercise we've all been putting in recently 😆), was also lifting and moving TV's and bikes in work 🤷🏻‍♀️

Today - 2dpo - boobs are sore round nipple but not the nipple that's sore. Belly still feels like a work out and CM has gone thicker.

This all means nothing to me as I don't actually know what to look out for and when 😂

Hoping I can follow all yours and see the BFP's to follow 🤞🏻

Hatepickinganame · 26/01/2020 12:32

@MimiArm the boob story made me giggle!! At least you get a compliment every time haha glad youre on the mend!

@MrsTwentySeven how to grow a baby? Think its like an instruction manual and we've been doing it all wrong? I may have to give this a look 😂

Welcome to any new people ive missed, havent had time to read back on all the posts, only get a 15 min break 🙄 and if we're symptom spotting, i felt sick as anything this morning... its a pms symptom for me though so maybe im gonna get an early af 😔

Wise0wl · 26/01/2020 12:38

👋 @MimiArm (I spat my tea out laughing when I read about you flashing your boobs!) and 👋 @notetaker - thank you for the warm welcome!

littletandme · 26/01/2020 13:03

@Anon87 also 2dpo here but no symptoms. Can't remember if I even had any last time until the sore boobs around 10-12dpo. So I'm just going slowly insane wishing at least another week would speed by so I can test!

paintfairy · 26/01/2020 14:14

Lol! Loving reading this. Made me laugh. I'm glad everyone is as mental as each other. I'm 9dpo and I keep thinking I have cramps but then can't decide. Mostly though I'm sure I feel no different to any other month.
