Hi all. We have decided to try for a baby. I was taking cerelle but came off it on the 9th december. Normally if I miss a pill for a couple of days (if I havent collected from docs before a weekend) I have a bleed a day or 2 after miss the pill. I havent had any sort of bleeding at all. We first had unprotected sex on the 12th December and have had it regularly since. I have done a few tests and all negative. I'm really confused as to why I havent even had a bit of spotting as I usually do. Or could I be pregnant but to early to show on test? This will be my 3rd pregnancy. Can you please give me your experiences as its driving me crazy not having any bleeding and not being pregnant.

I came off the pill in Oct has the withdrawal bleed 15th November and had nothing since. I have also had a few bfn. I agree it's very frustrating waiting and trying to work our what is happening.

bluebell94 · 29/12/2019 12:57

I came off the pill in September and it took 7 weeks before I even had a tiny bit of spotting then didn't have a proper period until another 2 weeks after that. The pill seems to really mess withy some peoples cycles and can take months to regulate unfortunately

MallonMary · 29/12/2019 13:01

Took me 5 weeks for period to arrive after stopping the pill. Just a waiting game I'm afraid.

WednesdaySpinner · 29/12/2019 13:03

I came off the pill in March and didn't get a withdrawal bleed or spotting at all until my period arrived at the end of May following weeks of worry on my part. Everyone is different - my GP told me that if I wanted to ttc to just get on with it and start trying because some ladies can still conceive without their period returning. I wasn't ready to ttc at that point but based on her advice, I would suggest to just carry on as you are.

Aimy1 · 29/12/2019 13:20

Thank you all. I just either want my period or 2 lines on a test. It's just very strange as I only have to miss 1 or 2 pills and i have bleeding for a couple of days and this time nothing!

I’m following this.

I stopped taking Cerelle on the same day as you. Been regularly trying since. No AF but no BFP either :(

Aimy1 · 29/12/2019 20:43

Aw kkmk hopefully we both get somewhere soon. It took me 3 months to conceive with my first 2 and had withdrawal bleed literally days after coming off pill and then 2 proper periods but just nothing at all this time.

Any update?

I did a pregnancy test earlier - negative but LH positive, I’ve hard stomach cramps so I’ve got my fingers crossed my cycles might be coming back

Wintergal · 01/01/2020 20:43

AD arrived on Monday so I am hoping my cycles are coming back now! Going to really TTC in Jan.

Crazymummyto3 · 01/01/2020 21:49

I'm the same as you in that if I missed a pill I would spot a couple of days later, but when I stopped taking it to ttc I had nothing! I took my last pill on 5th August and didn't have my first bleed until 1st September. I then had cycles of 27, 28, 22, 33 and 33 days and got my BFP yesterday ☺️

Wintergal · 01/01/2020 22:47

Well done on you BFP what a great start to the year

Congratulations on your positive! I've done a test this morning and nothing! Still no bleed. I am having quite a bit of clear discharge and cramps in my stomach so hoping that means I might be getting a period but I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. It's been nearly 4 weeks since coming off my pill so surely a line would show now.. I'm beginning to become mentally drained from it all, its alls I can think of that something is wrong with me!

@Aimy1 I totally know how you are feeling! It was 4 weeks from when I stopped the pill to my first bleed then over 6 weeks to the next! It's a very frustrating and annoying time. Your body gives you all sorts of mixed messages. Hang in there. Xxx

Aimy1 · 02/01/2020 11:34

Thank you. I think because I'm so used to have a bleed if I miss a pill and now that I really want to try for a baby, my body isn't doing what I want it too! X

Not much advice and probably ot what you want to hear but I came off the pill in September 2016 and didn't fall pregnant until April 2019. I was extremely irregular, random cycles of 29-34 days and it really got me down. The only thing I can say is every woman is different, my friend came off the pill and was pregnant a month later. Just don't stress and as hard as it is (I say this from experience) - put the tests down!! The stress will either delay your period or I think that's what stopped me conceiving. As soon as I stopped testing for both ovulation and pregnancy, I caught three months later!!

Fingers crossed you don't have to wait as long as I did!! X

Aimy1 · 02/01/2020 13:25

@Lxx16 thank you. I've just never not had a bleed after my pill which is making me worried. I'm going to stop testing and just wait and see what happens!

Me again! Sorry. So I throw my tests in the bin in my bathroom and every time I go to the toilet, I check them (weird I know) anyway, they are always 1 line only. This morning I did a test, looked st it straight away, saw one line and threw it away. I've look a couple of hours later and there is 2 lines. One is quite faint but it's there. So I did another and nothing.. I've compared all the test that's are currently in my bin (about 4) they all have one line except this one. Could it have been positive but I didnt give enough time to look? And now I have no hcg in my urine? Literally turning into a mad woman! I do a test every other day. Still no bleed at all but constant period like feeling in my stomach and lots of clear discharge.

Aimy1 · 05/01/2020 07:56

Was definitely a negative. I've had the worst pains in my stomach to where I could barely stand up straight. Tested positive on ovulation test so hopefully I'll be getting my period soon!

I came off Cerelle on 7th December and 2 days later had 3 days of light brown withdrawal bleed. I still haven’t had a proper bleed yet! Have been trying not to over think it but it’s easier said than done. Since I’ve come off it I’ve had so many different symptoms that could be either pregnancy or hormonal but did a test before Xmas which was a BFN so I’m now ignoring any symptoms for a while to avoid disappointment unless I really think I am pregnant. I had a positive OPK on Friday with EWCM and then a negative OPK yesterday but still getting the EWCM. It seems that my hormones are all over the place since coming off the pill and I think it’s the same for you. It can take a while for periods to come back and for your cycle to correct itself so hang in there!

Aimy1 · 05/01/2020 15:18

@Shari73 I havent even had a withdrawal bleed. I tested negative today for ovulation but was positive today. Negative on tests. I feel like I've got symptoms of pregnancy and coming onto my period as pretty much the same. I need to just stay away from the tests and wait. It's been 4 weeks now with not even a spot of blood x

I got my period on Saturday. So I'm looking forward to our first cycle of TTC

Aimy1 · 05/01/2020 16:52

@KKMK still nothing here other than lots of stringy white discharge (sorry for the too much info) and cramps

Hi everyone hoping I can join.
Taking my last mini pill tomorrow. Will try and track my withdrawal bleed so I can monitor my cycles but we’re going to continue to TTC. Have a feeling my AF is due around now as experiencing period symptoms (not out of the ordinary for me). Wishing you al lots of luck and hope to see BFP’s 🙂x

KADAQ1 · 05/01/2020 18:19

I can help but feel a little bit disappointed we didn’t manage to conceive before first AF arrived. Even though I know it’s daft.
