Ovulation Xmas week

Anyone else due to ovulate week of Xmas? Think I'm due to ovulate around 24-26th, anyone else in the same boat?

One app has me ovulating on 21st and the other on 27th. I'm hoping for the 21st as we're staying with family from the 23rd with little chance for DTD.

Thanks for replying! My app says 24th but some online calculators day 26th so I'm not 100%. I was on the coil so this is my first month after having a proper period so I am not sure how long my cycle actually is so that probably doesn't help! I am TTC for baby #2 my LG is 2 in January :) I got my coil out 4 months ago so I have been trying since then but have only just finished my first period from having it removed. How long have you been trying?

Me! According to my app at least (26th). Have bought some ovulation tests though so we will see how accurate that is! Which apps do you use?

At parents over Christmas so that will be interesting 😂

I use the app Flo, what are you using? I am getting some ovulation tests on Friday so I can track the week it says I am due to ovulate so we will see 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

@Sadie95 aww nearly 2 super cute age! I heard the coil can take a few months to get you back in check. I came off pill in August and still think my cycles are a little skewed. We're on to cycle 5 now so hoping we'll soon get a BFP

@Em4815 I use Ovia and Femometer - fem is good as you can take photos of you opk tests and they'll come up as low/high/peak. W

We're also TTC #1 and staying at my parents. Walls very very close and thin so if no OV before we leave it will be slim chances until Jan onwards!

@Quiffy thank you! I have just downloaded Femometer now so I will try that one as well 😀 how many days DPO would you test?

I was using Period Diary and have just downloaded Flo. Will be interesting to see which is closest based on the tests! It's all new to me so trying to work out what is going on when is enlightening!

@Sadie95 most will tell you not to test until 14dpo or until your AF is late - that is SO hard though. Last month I think I waited until 10dpo, going to try and wait out until closer to AF again as BFNs are so horrible.

With my first pregnancy I didn't know when I was ovulating or anything so it was pure look and I didn't have a period either so I was lucky it showed up when I was pregnant! This time round now I am tracking everything it seems so much more stressful a time is dragging!

Came off the pill in September, and have just finished my first period since, so have absolutely no clue when I'll ovulate...!
Am today on CD5, so ov is probs between Xmas and NY. I have also bought ovulation tests, though I've never used them, so I may get a bit confused. I am also BBT temping, but that won't help much for this cycle :P

I think I'll do my first opk test on Xmas eve, and either way I'll try to DTD every other day until I get a positive opk, at which time I'll do it every day for however long the LH surge lasts :) Lol I'm such a control freak already. I haven't told my husband this is the plan, I'll just demand DTD whenever I feel like it's a good idea

I am actually going on holiday with my whole family on the 26/12, and may be sharing a hotel room with my little sis, so we're going to have to get VERY creative........

@mimmi91 I'm on CD5 too! I have no idea what to do with ov tests either - it will be a learning curve for us both ...

Sounds like you'll have to be very creative based on your sleeping arrangements 😂 I don't envy you!

What does CD mean?🙈 ovulation tests are basically similar to pregnant tests apart from it's just positive for ovulation, mine were 2 lines positive for ovulating 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Sadie95 CD is Cycle Day. So basically CD1 is the first day of your period :)

@Em4815 we're cycle twins!! Although my ovulation will probs be a bit late as I've just only come off the pill in September, and had to wait a while for my period :) Also, by your username Em, I think we may have very similar first names

Also, I'm using the Femometer app :) Am very happy with it for temping, but looks like it's giving me a "standard" ovulation date of CD14, which I very highly doubt.

Will be fun to upload pics of opk's though!

Do you upload your a picture of your ovulation test? Or have I completely miss read that haha!

@Sadie95 oh yes! I haven't actually tried it yet, but on the Femometer app you should be able to take a pic of each of your opk strips, to keep as a log :D

You just need to click on the "LH Test" option, and then on the "+" in the top right-hand side corner :)

Yeah you just go to LH test and you put it against a white background and it will advise on the level. Attached an old screenshot of some of mine.

Im cd12 today and predicted my OV for tomorrow. Got my first high last night so will see what today's tests say. Got my usual pre-ovu symptoms too :)

🙋‍♀️ I'm due to ovulate on Sunday or Monday. I usually dtd every other day but just deciding whether to do every night from last night till Tuesday since it's Christmas and I don't have to be up for work 😂. It'd be very handy conceiving for a September baby as I'm a teacher and I'd have 13 months off with only 9 months reduced pay!

@Chanel05 that would be good timing! I hope it happens for you, we could be due around the same time if it happens for both of us!

@Sadie95 good idea! I thought I was a nice 32 regular cycler before I started TTC. Now realising I'm more around 25 days so my apps were predicting way off. Even now I have one app saying 21st and other saying 28th. They do get more accurate the more you use though :)
