Merry Christmas everyone!

Hope everyone is having a positive outlook on the New Year! At the moment I have very ambivalent feelings, still can't get over the feeling that November was supposed to be our month. Very stupid thoughts of not wanting a winter baby which of course makes no sense and just feel like giving up. Don't know where these dark thoughts are coming from but I can't help them. :-(

Mangaroo · 26/12/2019 22:04

Fingers crossed @Skygirl1983 @PrettyGirl5545!

How exciting, you may still get a BFP in 2019! Wink

Unicornsparklez · 26/12/2019 22:09

CD35.. no AF yet. BFN yesterday. Boobs not sore but nipples feel like they are burning. Slight cramping on and off over last week but not terrible. Cervix seems too low so brought AF supplies today as think it’s on the way! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! Flowers

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 11:05

Morning ladies, cycle day 28 today, and I couldn't wait any longer, used a FRER, got a faint second line. So looking like a BFP. AF not due until 30th December, so I shall try not to get too excited just yet

mrsio · 27/12/2019 11:13

@MrsC89 congratulations!!!!

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 11:32

@Mario thank you! How are you getting on?

GeminiCancer · 27/12/2019 11:42

Hi ladies. I've been searching this site and really don't know where to post so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place. In desperate need of advice.
I fell pregnant and ended up having a miscarriage after 7+ weeks. I bled for 6 days. The lovely midwives at the scan confirming this told me to test in 10 days time to see if I get a negative result.
The issue is I have done the BD with my OH lots since the bleeding stopped and today is the day 10 mark. The test came back positive. Does it sound like left over hcg levels or could it be possible I've fell pregnant again this quickly?
Stressing myself out and wishing I had abstained from sex now.

mrsio · 27/12/2019 12:12

@MrsC89 I'm 5 weeks today. I've just booked my first midwife appointment for 8th January so I think it's starting to feel real. I've still got zero symptoms so I keep forgetting 😂 last time they hit at about 6 weeks so that gives me another week before I feel like absolute crap for another 7+ months 😂
How are you feeling? Is it your first?

mrsio · 27/12/2019 12:15

@GeminiCancer I'm so sorry about your MC. Have I read correctly that you were bleeding until 4 days ago and have been DTD for 4 days? If so I would say that it couldn't be a new pregnancy as implantation takes a minimum of 6 days then you wouldn't get a positive test until at least 2-3 days after that x

GeminiCancer · 27/12/2019 12:37

@mrsio
I stopped bleeding 10 days ago. I was given hospital clinitest hcg to test with. It has came up with 3 lines in the c window r window and t window.
I've dtd everyday since the bleeding stopped. The midwives said at the scan that I looked very fertile if I wanted to try again.
Thank you. Baby was unplanned but oh and I both got very excited and then were devastated to lose it.
Should I just wait another week or so and test again? X

mrsio · 27/12/2019 12:44

@GeminiCancer sorry I misread your first post. In that case it could be another pregnancy. I think the only way to be sure is to test every day or 2 to see if the line gets darker. I've got everything crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞

GeminiCancer · 27/12/2019 12:47

@Mrsio
Thank you for the advice. It always helps to have someone to talk to so I really appreciate your response.
I will wait and keep you updated. X

mrsio · 27/12/2019 12:52

@GeminiCancer please do x

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 13:20

@mrsio yes, it's my first, not my first pregnancy though. I had a TFMR back in August, as was carrying conjoined twins, with no chance of separation. I feel nauseous and have for the past 5 days, hence the urge to test! Last time I had terrible morning sickness that hit at 6 weeks and didnt stop until 11 weeks, nearly got hospitalised a few times! Think my drs surgery is a bit different, I will need to see a gp, they will then get the midwife to call me, didnt have my booking in until 10weeks

mrsio · 27/12/2019 18:21

@MrsC89 I remember saying about your TFMR a couple of threads ago. I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what it was like to go through something like that. Will they offer you an earlier scan this time do you think? X

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 18:38

@mrsio I don't think they will, I had a follow up appointment with the consultant after and she just put me on folic acid. She said it wasnt anything genetic just bad luck. When I go and see the GP I will for sure be asking if I'm getting anything extra, I dont want to get all the way to 12 weeks again and everything just fall apart! My GP is pretty good, I have zero trust in the hospital, but DH wants to give them a second chance. I had a scan at the EPU at 7 weeks and they said everything was all ok. Will try and persuade DH that we should change hospital this time 🤞

itsbeenalongtime · 27/12/2019 19:29

So lovely to see BFPs! Can I be nosy and ask those of you who've got one recently how long you've been trying? I'm currently on cycle 3, day 22 of a fairly regular cycle. AF due on the 2nd/3rd of January.

mrsio · 27/12/2019 19:42

@MrsC89 that makes it even worse that you'd already had a scan! Should they have been able to see that something was wrong at 7 weeks? I'm not sure how well developed they are at that stage. Worst case scenario if you can't get a scan on the the NHS you could maybe get a private one? I'm in the August birth club on baby centre (I'm right at the end of the month so people are up to 9 weeks) and loads of people have been getting private scans on there. It might be worth it for the peace of mind? X

mrsio · 27/12/2019 19:43

@itsbeenalongtime it was the second month for us x

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 20:12

@mrsio I spoke to the consultant that did the scan at the EPU when I was being discharged from hospital and she said she didnt know how she missed it... great thanks...

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 20:14

@itsbeenalongtime cycle 3 this time, last time it was cycle 2.

mrsio · 27/12/2019 20:19

@MrsC89 that's horrendous. I'll keep everything crossed that they offer you an early scan. Statistically it is extremely unlikely to happen a second time but you will obviously still worry x

OkyDoke · 27/12/2019 20:34

Still not started my period despite taking last pill two weeks ago!

MrsC89 · 27/12/2019 21:16

@mrsio I know statistically it shouldn't happen again, and in pretty sure that will be their answer, but I think I will just be psycho until the 12 week scan thinking what if

mrsio · 28/12/2019 16:03

@OkyDoke it's still pretty early to have had a period. I think I was 3 weeks both times I've come off the pill. I know it's easier said than done but try not to stress x
