Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

@Devgirl31 @fayy123 @NCON @MrsKJW19

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

Feel free to introduce yourselves :)

@ChampooPapi lovely to hear from you! Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your back. I hope it eases up for you!
No sign of AF yet and you do not need to apologise!

@danielasummer no I don’t have any symptoms! I don’t even have my normal AF symptoms. I’m going to leave until Friday before I test again.how are you feeling? X

danielasummer · 02/04/2020 07:10

@ChampooPapi yes I guess you're totally right! I've told you all more than I'd tell my best friend - not sure she'd want to hear all about my cervical mucus and sex schedule haha.

You must be so anxious - and I have no advice! (You know how bad my anxiety was!), just know that if you ever have a worry, want a rant etc, pop on here and we'll (virtually) hold your hand along the way.

When is your due date? Have you contacted your GP yet?

Really hope your back feels better soon. At least now is a good time to put your feet up and not have to worry about doing anything around the house! Every cloud and all that! :)

I'm not going to take a test until the day after AF is due. I can't bear to see a negative, I'd rather see blood on a tissue quite frankly! I was devastated last cycle when I tested a day early - I regret not waiting. I'll let you all know either way, but I don't think it's my cycle (think I'll say that every cycle anyway as I'm so scared that I'll jinx it if I say 'I think I may be pregnant') I'm a loony tune when it comes to TTC, honestly.

@Littlepeas2 how many DPO are you? When is AF due? I'm feeling fine thank you..just want to know either way now, but enjoying time at home with DH and the days are going quickly which I guess is a good thing! How about you?

Glad you are keeping well during the crazy time @danielasummer ! I am now 3 days late but have done a FRER test this afternoon and I was a BFN. I wish AF would just hurry up so I can get on with the next cycle .

danielasummer · 02/04/2020 16:36

@Littlepeas2 ahh that must be so frustrating. Did you definitely ovulate when you thought you did? x

OP posts:
Littlepeas2 · 02/04/2020 19:05

Going by CM I think I ovulated on the 17th. The FRER I did today had THE FAINTEST line. So faint I was actually not even going to mention it but my DH has just got home from work and could spot it. But I’m wondering if they already have a line on already. Honestly it’s so faint it’s ridiculous! And going by CM Tuesday, I would think a line would be stronger now! I’m 100% not testing until Sunday now.

How are you feeling? When are you expecting AF?

danielasummer · 03/04/2020 07:29

Good morning lovelies...I just wanted to share some happy news I got this morning 😊 hope you’re all keeping well and I am absolutely not leaving this board!! Can’t wait to see more BFPs!

A big thank you to everyone that has kept me going through the last few months. You have been my rocks. I won’t be telling my family or friends until 12 weeks but I just had to post on here. Fingers crossed for a sticky one x

@danielasummer oh heavens! I'm absolutely bawling here, I have tears running down my cheeks as I write this. I'm lost for words so I hope that's enough to express how happy i am for you! After all this time it's just so emotional to see your tests, are they actually real?! Is this a dream! 😉 Arhhhhhh! All the love to you from me @danielasummer 💜

This will go down in history as not only the best post I've ever seen here in the last 5 years, but also for me personally it just feels like pure magic to have been on a pregnancy thread with you, then a trying to cocieve thread, and now I pray, I hope, of everything works out for us both, we will be on a die in dece thread together....and beyond 🙏

ChampooPapi · 03/04/2020 08:00

Oh my god, not a die in December thread 😣😆🤦

Fast typing getting the better of me there. And breath...

A due in December thread!

danielasummer · 03/04/2020 11:23

@ChampooPapi aw bless you, thank you SO much, I can't tell you how much your message means to me!! We have been on a journey haven't we?! So we will both (hopefully) have our 2020 babies x

When are you due? I'm 11th/12th December. I thought I had some pregnancy symptoms but didn't want to post on here and jinx it haha! I am actually insane!

Will do a CB digital next week just to extra extra confirm then I'm done I think :) Hope you're feeling ok and the sickness hasn't started! xxx

OP posts:
ChampooPapi · 03/04/2020 11:30

@danielasummer I'm 'due' the 1st of December, but I could be a few days ahead of myself because of cycles post miscarriage being a bit dodgy. As you know!. Today is a good day for us, I know there is going to be anxiety's aplenty. But let's have today. Let it be a day of joy and love, a day of hope, shut all worries in a temporary box and feel happy 💜🌈✨

I'd say we can be very hopeful anyway, after 5 cycles post miscarriage our bodies have recovered and have decided on these pregnancies so I think we've got to assume they are health keepers.

I've stopped testing now, did about 4 in the end, I'm six weeks today xxx

ChampooPapi · 03/04/2020 11:30

*healthy

ChampooPapi · 03/04/2020 11:32

@Littlepeas2 how are you getting on your end? I'm starting to think your pregnant as well! A faint line sounds pretty promising, Everything crossed, I didn't get a positive test until a week late with my first 💜

danielasummer · 03/04/2020 11:52

@ChampooPapi that's a great mindset.. I'm going to adopt it too. I was so super anxious last pregnancy and I just regret not enjoying it for that short time. My plan is to keep busy, practice mindfulness and not wish away the days. Life is too short!

I'm 4 weeks today so you're 2 ahead of me. So so happy for you x can't believe we are sharing this new journey together too!

@Littlepeas2 oh my gosh I am so sorry I didn't reply to your post! Honestly this morning I didn't even think to read the posts, my hands were shaking too much. How are you doing? Like ChampooPapi, I'm starting to think you are too - a line is a line, no matter how faint. Maybe upload a photo? x

OP posts:
Littlepeas2 · 03/04/2020 15:33

Oh my @danielasummer this is AMAZING! I am so genuinely happy for you. How lovely that after the heartache both you and @ChampooPapi are going on this journey together!!

@Champoopapi I hope you don’t mind me asking but did you previously have a missed miscarriage?

@danielasummer I am actually too worried about posting a photo incase I look like a crazy lady who is making things up 🤣

Pixielou16 · 03/04/2020 19:49

Omg @danielasummer congratulations!!!! Incredible news that both you and @ChampooPapi are expecting at the same time! Keeps me hopeful 😍 So pleased for both of you!

Pixielou16 · 03/04/2020 19:51

I just reread your earlier message @danielasummer - what were your symptoms? X

danielasummer · 03/04/2020 21:51

@Littlepeas2 @Pixielou16 honestly thank you so so much. I'm still in shock and never thought I'd be the one to post a BFP on here. It still doesn't feel real..! Keeping my feet well on the ground though because of my previous loss, but still have some hope and excitement in there just the same. Thank you so much for your congratulations xx can't wait to see your BFPs now!!

So symptoms-wise I kept track of everything every day (believe it or not I was super chilled this cycle but I found it interesting to keep track because something just felt a bit 'off' and I wanted to log it). Please bear in mind though that I searched SO many people's DPO symptoms and mind never matched up to theirs, and I still got a BFP. What I'm trying to say is, we will all be totally different, and even these symptoms are different from my last pregnancy last year. But here are mine anyway:

5DPO - medium amount creamy cm
6DPO - light amount sticky/crumbly cm
7DPO - very tired, bit of a cold/bunged up
8DPO - very heavy creamy cm, very tired, bit of a cold/bunged up
9DPO - temp dip, very heavy yellow (?!) creamy cm
10DPO - light amount creamy/egg white cm, was stretchy, then later on in day was thick and clumpy, yellow/white-ish. Slight tenderness underside of left breast but barely anything
11DPO - felt like I had a UTI, cm on underwear but had dried. Slight tenderness underside of left breast but barely anything
12DPO - woke up in the night very hot and sweaty (DH wasn't hot at all). Watery cm at cervix which was pink (think this was implantation but not sure). Slight tenderness underside of left breast but barely anything
13DPO - breast tenderness on left side, feels bruised. Both breasts feel 'heavy'. Tingly nipples when brushed but mainly left side. Out of breath when on a walk (we have done this walk for weeks) had to slow down
14DPO - very tired, out of breath when on a walk (same walk as yesterday). 4 positive pregnancy tests

I hope this helps. Don't necessarily think my symptoms were the common ones but I don't think they're totally unusual either.

How are you doing @Pixielou16 and where are you in your cycle? x

@Littlepeas2 have you tested again? We will be here for you no matter what and would absolutely not think you are a crazy lady!! We're all in the same TTC boat together x

OP posts:
Pixielou16 · 03/04/2020 22:11

It's great to hear other people's symptoms, just to compare! I'm on CD 23, 6 DPO but having very little cm at all this cycle so not hopeful. I'll only test if I'm late I think x

HE88 · 04/04/2020 10:41

Ah @danielasummer I'm super happy for you what amazing news 😍. This is so lovely to hear and really nice to see that you and @ChampooPapi can go on this journey together amazing 😁. Oh this has gave me so much hope 🤞. How long was it both for you to conceive if you don't mind me asking. Xx

danielasummer · 04/04/2020 12:56

@Pixielou16 I agree, I like hearing other people's symptoms too. Don't be disheartened by lack of cm - I had no cm when in the early stages of my last pregnancy. I think not testing until you're late is a good idea - let us know how you get on. Sending you so much luck x

@HE88 thank you so much x I know, can't believe it! I don't mind you asking at all, so I miscarried in October last year and on the 4th cycle I conceived again. How are you doing? x

OP posts:
HE88 · 04/04/2020 13:48

@danielasummer thanks for sharing. I'm doing fine started using opks got my positive today at cycle day 12 which is very early for me so not sure what to think. Xx

ChampooPapi · 04/04/2020 16:11

@Littlepeas2 hey, yes I had a missed miscarriage when I went for my 12 week scan they could just see a load of stuff, which later turned out to be fetal matter, I guess it all stopped between 5/6/7 weeks. Very hard to tell obviously because it hadn't developed properly. My body kept ramping up the hormones though to try and sustain the pregnancy even though it wasn't viable or even alive any more!

I was proud of my bodies survivor instincts but it was a cruel trick as it made me sick as a dog until my 12 week scan , so I was clueless. It was bonkers really.

What's going on your end?! Show us a test! We need to inspect one now we're done peeing on our own

@Pixielou16 thanks lovely! 💜

ChampooPapi · 04/04/2020 16:13

I honestly don't think my obsession at looking at other people's tests will ever go away 😆

Littlepeas2 · 04/04/2020 16:44

@champoopapi my best friend went through the same heartbreak a few years ago. I can’t even imagine all the emotional rollercoasters you have been on up to this point. I only ask as I wondered if the drs recommended you taking baby aspirin?

Can you believe I went out and brought a test today and it didn’t bloody work!!! No line on the control centre 😭 how’s my luck!

ChampooPapi · 04/04/2020 16:57

@Littlepeas2 oh that's rubbish! Even the pregnancy tests have gone sideways 🙄

Well the days keep ticking onward and you've obviously got no period on the go so there is a reasonable chance now that you ovulated later and your a week or so behind so to speak on testing. If that's the case and you poas early next week surly we can either celebrate or commiserate, by then it's a yay or nay situation. We cross everything 🤞

No aspirin but I have two other children by the same father so it was pretty obvious I think that it was just a natural situation that occurs when it's not a viable pregnancy.

Plus the after care was pretty wack but the poor limping NHS was on it's knees back in October. I just had to trust and believe and be strong, which is a lot easier when you know the variables concerning your fatility like myself.

I got to look two of the fruits of our union in the eyes every day so it was a far less rougher journey then most of the women who go through those missed miscarriages.

I knew it was only a matter of time. But the hormones post surgery and with each cycle that passes definitely dont make it an easy ride, even with that perspective
