Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

Hey @ChampooPapi ! I have a question if you don’t mind?! I’m 10dpo today and I had really bad cramping (very much like period pains) this afternoon for about an hour. During this time I went to the toilet and I had a whole load of EWCM. It was very thick and stretchy. No more since! Did you get anything like this? I’m wondering if I get this every month but just haven’t noticed before?! X

@Littlepeas2 this is exactly what I had around this time as well! I know, I know... If anyone should be cautious of getting someones hopes up with symptom comparisons its me. After all these months on the conception boards, and a good few years under my belt on the pregnancy threads as well.

But honestly those two things for me were a trigger in my brain that perhaps I'd actually conceived this month. Just the combination of both the mucus change and the pains earlier then my pre period aches.

We cross everything for you , and if you are unlucky this month you have my permission to say 'dam you Champoo!'.

Hold off testing untill the weekend though or you'll go bananas again with poas anxiety, don't let yours cave and become a vunerable slave to the pee stick. Especially with being on curfew , just be strong and wait until Saturday 🙏♥️

Or Sunday/Monday if you can bare. When is your af actually due?

Cramps have gone and no more mucus at the moment. I’m due on Monday but I have no reason to leave the house so I won’t be buying any tests until AF is missing!
I will keep you updated. How are you doing?

@Pixielou16 hi, we in the same situation as you - both working from home and continuing TTC. This could all change obviously with how bad it all gets, but for now we've decided to keep trying. How did your OPKs turn out? Are they going to remove your cyst? DIY-wise, our mission is to clear out our garden and declutter the house.. we were meant to be moving house at the end of March but it's all on hold now, so we're taking this time to get rid of some rubbish! x

@HE88 hi lovely. How are you doing? We are going to continue TTC. We are working from home anyway and if I fell pregnant, I hopefully wouldn't need a scan until 12weeks anyway and hopefully then it would've calmed down a bit (wishful thinking?) x

@Littlepeas2 so exciting that you had the same symptoms as Champoo!! Have you had anything else? Will be looking out for your posts on Monday - my fingers are crossed for you x

@danielasummer I think they were going to scan me again in three months time and see if the cyst had shrunk or gone away. Based on blood test results, I was told I probably had PCOS because I had high testosterone but I asked for a copy of the blood test and there was nothing which indicated testosterone levels on there? I don't think I'll be getting a scan any time soon either so I'm trying to relax about it all. Had a high OPK yesterday (CD16) and EWCM so hoping that means I'm ovulating! Where are you in your cycle right now?

@Pixielou16 hope that it has shrunk/gone away, is it painful? In terms of PCOS, do you have any of the other symptoms (irregular cycles, acne/excess hair)?
Sounds like you are ovulating!! Do you temp?
I’m 8DPO. Feel no different so I’m not holding out much hope this cycle!

Hey lovely @danielasummer ! How are you? Where abouts are you in your cycle now?
Nope, no more symptoms at all from me! The cramping and the CM both stopped on 10dpo and that’s been it!
@ChampooPapi how are you?!

@Littlepeas2 I'm 7/8DPO today! Don't feel any different at all and looking back at charts from when I was pregnant in August, I had sore breasts from 8DPO onwards. Not holding out much hope but keeping chill this cycle! When are you due on/planning on testing? Wishing you loads of luck and lashings of baby dust! Really hope this is your month for a December baby x

@HE88 sorry I'm only just responding but my brain is being very feeble, the body is working well getting lots of domestic stuff done while at home, but the brain is melting 🙄. I really appreciate your congratulations, it means so much coming on here and seeing the love, i feel incredibly lucky and to have you and the other womem saying anything nice just makes my heart sing every time. That goes for post conception as well. I mean you women are incredible!

@danielasummer talking of incredible women... Your message of being ecstatic, well it made my life. I will never forget it. I will keep checking on here for the big fat positives and beyond. Only a few more days and you are going to know either way this cycle, everyth crossed (yes even that!). Whichever happens we will be here for you for the next cycle 💜

@Littlepeas2 I'm just getting as much done as possible before the inevitable queesyness comes and I become as much use as a chocolate teapot! I hope it's your lucky month, so soon now either way 🤞🤞

Heyy ladies!! Hope everyone is well and keeping safe in this rather strange time!! @ChampooPapi omg congratulations!!! So happy for ya! @danielasummer hope you’re well as well! I also tried SMEP this cycle I shall find out on Wednesday if it has worked or not haha dont think it has as I don’t have any symptoms! I actually got quite upset today and just thought why Isit taking so long, what am I doing wrong. Going on to my 7months TTC now! I ovulate regularly (OPKS) and my periods are like clock work! And was thinking If I should take clomid to increase my chances 😒😒😒 sorry for the rant X

@fayy123 I am due tomorrow with no symptoms either but I didn’t have any symptoms until about 11 weeks with my DD so not out of the game yet. Keep us updated :)

Hi @danielasummer I'm doing OK thanks just taking each day as it comes. Hubby and I have decided that we will start ttc again I feel like I need soemthing to focus on during this crazy time. Going to give SMEP another go so we will see.
@ChampooPapi hope you have been feeling OK.

@HE88 oh I'm really pleased you are trying again, I think it's the right decision and you don't have to do smep to a 't' either, you can just do it when you want really as you both on house lockdown toge so no time pressure.

Hi lovely ladies! Just finished a big family quiz on Zoom so my brain is feeling a little frazzled haha.

@ChampooPapi right, me and you would definitely be real life friends, I've been reading back on our messages and how we lift each other up! You best not ever leave this board! :) can't wait to see how you're progressing. Thank you for your luck xx I had some thick, creamy, yellow (??!) cm today (8/9DPO) and had it yesterday too (was white yesterday), not a clue what that means but I need a serious talking to. Of course I'm not pregnant (I don't think) so why am I even letting my brain run there..?! How are you feeling? Not too ill yet I hope xx

@fayy123 hi lovely, how are you doing? I know 7 months must feel like a lifetime but honestly the best advice I can give, the ONLY advice I can give to make this a little more relaxing for myself at least, is to not put a time on it. I was also advised to go on Clomid but that is to induce ovulation and I ovulate fine (as are you). So maybe when you get to 1 year (let's hope you don't) ask your OH to get a sperm sample done and go from there. Which CD are you on?

@HE88 hi, good to hear from you. Taking each day as it comes is a good plan. I'm thinking of you and sending you a handhold x you do whatever you feel is best in this trying situation x

I’m 14dpo today so I tested with my morning err but BFN! I still have no symptoms (the cm dried up after the lot I had a few days ago!) so now I’m just waiting for AF!
@fayy123 sending you lots of luck with your smep plan next month!!

@Littlepeas2 good morning! I know better than to get my hopes up (I do it every month!) but this month I have loads of cm for some reason. I just had some now too, which was kind of stretchy and clear mixed with creamy. No clue what's going on. Probably not pregnant but nice to have a little hope sometimes.

Do you temp? Are you due today or tomorrow? How long have you been trying? x

Yes I feel like that too actually. Just enjoy the feeling of thinking there’s a possibility you could be pregnant. Then if AF comes you just get on and deal with it!

No I don’t temp. I just track using CM and my app. I was due in yesterday so 15dpo but BFN this morning with first urine. I don’t feel pregnant at all. The CM I had at 10dpo didn’t come back and I don’t have any symptoms! So really just waiting for AF. All the years of not TTC she comes bang on and now we are TTC she plays me up. Typical!

@Littlepeas2 it's a strange mix for me of hope then telling myself not to be so ridiculous and of course I'm not lucky enough to be pregnant! My DH wants me to take a test (mainly so I'll just shut up I should think haha) but I'm so scared of seeing a negative, it's somehow easier to take when AF comes.

Are you going to test again tomorrow? Do you have any AF symptoms? Really praying your test wasn't strong enough to detect your HCG and that you are in fact pregnant. Let us know please xx

@danielasummer we are real life friends! Whatever one can say about this forum or the threads, the ones we have been on together have been about as real as you can get. All our inner feelings laid bare, all our hopes and dissapointments. And don't even get me started on the cervical mucus!

@Littlepeas2 and @danielasummer Doing fine my end, always the worry at the back of the mind that I have a mania of some sorts and at the 12 week scan there will be no baby, or like last time it will just be a bundle of 'matter' that stopped developing beyond a certain point.

Haha. The usual stuff 😅

My sense of humor is in tact. My back on the other hand is fully gone, softening of the ligaments I think and I pulled that lower lumber area, exquisite pain sums it up! But counting all my blessings and watching the antiques roadshow with tea so could be a lot worse.

@Littlepeas2 any sign of af? I think the bfn could still go either way but I'm guessing your fairly certain your coming on soon? I'm sorry I have you false hope, all the best to you 💜
