Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

How are we going? today is CD10 for me...
has anyone used the clear blue digital ovulation tests? I I didn't read the instructions - clearly - and just did a test (it's lunch time here)... it has come back with peak fertility! Everything I have ever read says OPK are best used NOT with first morning wee - expect these ones! Reading properly has now told me that testing at any other time can give false peaks 🤦🏽‍♀️ so now it's saying that i can't test again this cycle as it's already detected peak 😫 damn it!!!! What should I do? Just continues with SMEP and not worry about OPKS? Or take the results as accurate? I can't go and buy any others as we live 2 hours from the closest shops! 🙄

Hi @mrsbevans2403 ahh that's a shame! I would just DTD every other day, how long are your cycles normally and when do you normally ovulate? X

Good morning all, happy weekend! ☺️ just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this..here is my chart for this cycle - when did I ovulate? CD32 or CD35? Or any other ideas? Fertility friend hasn't picked up on it yet or added any cross hairs! Would really appreciate your opinions because of course that would determine when AF is due and when I can test 🤞🏻☺️

From CD26-CD32 I discarded temps as I was ill x

@danielasummer it looks to me like 36.4 is your cover line (similar to mine) so I would say you ovulated on CD35?

@JoesM12 on my natural cycles app it says my coverline is 36.28 so no idea! I've used NC for years and FF only for this cycle so I'm not sure which to go by 🤷🏻‍♀️ what do you think? My pre-ov temps are quite low. Thank you for helping x

@danielasummer I would absolutely go by what NC says in that case!! What day does NC say you ov? I’ve found natural cycles very accurate and I’ve only been using it about 6 months, so a lot less than you but I’ve found it predicts really well x

@JoesM12 on CD26 which is before I discarded any temps. It took into account my previous ov days (around CD25) but 26 does seem early to me this month, considering I was ill which may have impacted ovulation. There again, it might not have. Confusing, this waiting game! Oh well, HPT a week today if AF hasn't shown up! Thank you x

Help please! Have I ovulated early? As you can see I'm predicted to ovulate on CD16. In the past I've ovulated anywhere from CD14-20, but this would be CD11 which is really early! Only started taking OPKs on CD10 as suggested by SMEP, and on CD10 the line was strong but not quite enough for positive, then yesterday was quite a weak line, and today was almost nothing. What do you think?

Hi @bluemoon2468 you need to have at least 3 temps above the coverline to confirm ovulation as sometimes we can get erratic, random temps (either higher or lower than expected) so see what they are tomorrow and the next day and you'll be able to see if you ov'd on CD11 or not. Good that you BD on CD10 though! x

@danielasummer thanks for your reply! Yeah thank god we just decided to BD every second day after AF, could have missed it!

🙂 @danielasummer cycles are usually band on 30 days and it's usually another 5/6 days before I would ovulate... we might just have to keep up the BD.. and see what happens! Thanks for the reply x

@mrsbevans2403 I used those opks and always tested with fmu. Your static face will stay there for 48 hours and I'm sure once it's disappeared you can start testing again but I might be wrong I would need to read the instructions. I would continue to follow SMEP if I was you. Xx

Cd17 here and since Thursday have dtd 5 times 🥵

Now I get three days off as the man will dissapear until Thurs again tomorrow morning. I think I better continue the baby dancing next weekend as well to cover all bases but then I am down with a much more relaxed approach (sexually at least! ) in February.

I'm pretty sure I won't be lucky this month but I won't beat myself up about it if not after all this crazy sex, it's been fun, ridiculous, and pretty intense, but I am fricking done with it now, I need a break 😴

@bluemoon2468 no problem :) how have your temps been?

@mrsbevans2403 ah I was in the same boat with DTD as much as possible just in case.. hope you're not as tired as I was!! How are you getting on?

@HE88 how are you doing? How did you get on with CB digital? I'm pretty sure I'm out (AF not due until Sunday) but I don't feel 'strange' like I did in my last pregnancy.. I just knew something was up around 7DPO and now I'm 8DPO and nothing!

@ChampooPapi you're a trooper! Exhausting isn't it? At least you get a little rest now. I'm not going to beat myself up either. Someone on another thread said that if it doesn't happen this cycle, see the next one as another chance to prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy. So I'm going to up the veggies even more than I already do, exercise more and practice gratitude every morning..I guess that's a better mentality than looking at the toilet paper and getting upset. Saying that, you're not out until AF arrives, so let's both be cautiously hopeful and support each other whatever the outcome x

@danielasummer temps dropped back down and looks like I'm due to ovulate tomorrow. That spike in temp then drop before ovulation seems to happen to me every single month and I can't explain it. I can only guess that every month my body tries to ovulate early for some reason, it fails, and then successfully ovulates a few days later. All very bizarre! Will be DTD tonight!!

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well! So we have been DTD like mad these past few days, I'm shattered! My Flo app said had no info for a long time and then suddenly earlier last week says I am ovulating today (CD 37) I have had one withdrawal bleed on 9th Dec and no period since so this might be right. My other app, Premom, just says my period is late- I just put in the standard 28 day cycle when I set up the app as I have no idea what my cycle length is yet. We are TTC #1 and this is our first cycle trying, so just trying to get the lay of the land. Any insight into my chart would be greatly appreciated! My OPKs come out as low across the board but have been testing with FMU due to logistics mainly (I'm a teacher). Also, finding it tricky to track CM as we are using Preseed and I'm sure that makes things harder to figure out (sorry if tmi!)

@Pixielou16 your BBT does look like you might ovulate today (big dip and then rise), although there's no way of knowing until you see whether your temp rises over the next few days. I also work in schools and I take my OPKs with my first pee after I get home. Usually held for a while during my commute so quite concentrated, and later afternoon/early evening is a good time to test.

Hey! How is everyone? AF got me today! Havent posted for a few days as i got 3 faint lines on 3 different days with 3 different test so same as @danielasummer i didnt want to jinx it! Anyway obviously 3 evap lines was so annoyed today 😞 but being positive going to try lose some more weight and go to the gym while i can😊

@bluemoon2468, thanks, I'll carry on monitoring! Yeah, I've been doing the same and using OPK when I get home but they come out really light. Too dilute perhaps?

@Pixielou16 maybe! Make sure you hold for at least a couple of hours, and don't drink anything during that time (or as little as possible).

@fayy123 ahhhhh no😭😭😭 my cycle is between 30-35 days so i dont know if i was even late 🤷🏽‍♀️ yesterday was day 34!! Hopefully this month is the one 🤞going to BD as much as possible xx

@Shazzzzz are you using an app to track your cycles? And are you going to use OPKS? Hopefully 😭😭😭😭
