Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

I’m debating whether I should try and use OPKS again this month or not to stress myself out! Funnily enough I used them amount 2cycles ago and I got my positive around the time I should have been ovulating but didn’t BD around the correct time anyway... I then used it the month after and got discouraged because I didn’t get a positive around the same time! So I’m thinking if I should try it again this cycle 😭😭

@fayy123 im going to try a relaxed approach, no ovulation testing just BD every day/ every other day and no testjng until i know I'm definitely late!! I dont think the stress helps😭 i didnt get a positive OPK but i did get ewcm 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Shazzzzz sounds good!! Yeah no point in testing unless you’re late otherwise you will just disappoint yourself and it will hurt! Hopefully this is all of our month! Xx keep me updated

@fayy123 i know with 3 what looked like positive test lines i had a little bit of hope but now i know they are evap through testing early, jus glad i didnt tell my OH! Im not going to symptom spot either 😡 Hopefully we will all be seeing positives soon 😊 x

@danielasummer I'm doing good thanks how are you feeling? I quite liked the cb digital as it gave me a clear answer about ovulation I used Internet cheapies and they just stressed me out. Xx

Just checking in! How's everyone doing?

I'm 13DPO, according to Flo app I was due AF Wednesday, Fertility Friend says Sunday. I used to be every 27 days (which would've been weds) however last few cycles have been 33, 31 & 29 so not quite sure.

@bunny2006 that's annoying about your cycles being a bit all over the place have you been ttc for long? X

@HE88 Yeah I'd been bang on 27 days for years so got my hopes up testing (BFN of course) when my Oct cycle was late! I'm taking more vitamins for TTC so maybe that's had an effect on cycle length who knows. Yeah feels like forever, 5 years off contraception 'not trying'/casually seeing what would happen. Past year or so actively trying, had some tests (me only) which all came back fine. x

Hi everyone, think I'm 4 or 5 DPO going off what Flo says. A friend at work is also TTC and she got her BFP yesterday - first time! I know it's our first cycle and it's inevitable that AF will come and that it's ok to not catch first time, but it was still a bit disappointing! Although I'm thrilled for her! Hate this TWW!

@Bunny2006 what tests did you have done if you don't mind me asking? Are you ttc with your 1st? Xx

@Pixielou16 ah I feel you the amount of pregnancy announcements I heard during my 2 years of ttc became so disheartening but you need to try and stay positive 😊 xx

@HE88 yeah, it seems like before you TTC no one is pregnant and then suddenly when you are TTC, everyone is! Time to put my positivity pants on! Baby dust to everyone xx

@HE88 Don't mind at all :) Yeah TTC our 1st. I've had bloods, swabs, internal and external ultrasound. DP won't get any tests, he's not even registered at a doctors :(

@Pixielou16 awwww bless you! I’m also using FLO to track my cycle but I think I’m going to get on using OPK sticks this cycle! Is anyone using the one step OPK sticks from amazon? X

@HE88 aww is this the first time in 2yrs you’ve used OPKS? What did you do different the cycle you conceived? X

@Bunny2006 ah ok that's a shame your partner won't get tested especially since you have been trying for so long. I ended up getting treated for endometriosis which is the reason I hadn't fallen pregnant sooner.

@fayy123 no I had been using opks for about a year and a half but ended up stopping when I was going through my treatment for endometriosis. I started using them again after my op. The only thing I did different was follow SMEP but I think my op has made a big difference too.

@HE88 awww well congratulations!! Did you have irregular periods when you discovered your endo?

@fayy123 I wouldn't say irregular but my cycles could be between 30 - 35 days. That's not the reason why my endo was found it was through and internal scan an endometrioma was found on my ovary so this made them query endometriosis which was found when I had my laparoscopy. Xx

@HE88 Glad your endometriosis was treated, and with great success now you're expecting! xx

@Pixielou16 I also had a moment yesterday as a friend from college/later work announced the birth of her baby, obviously I am happy for her but also gutted for myself that it hasn't happened yet.

I can't decide whether to do a test. I only have one FRER in the house, may use tomorrow if my BBT is still high, or if I can hold out until Tuesday.

@Bunny2006 so sorry to hear that. Sometimes my BBT doesn't drop until the middle-end of my AF.

God this month is dragging isn't it! I'm still a week away from af or testing for me. I hate wishing this time away!

@NCON @TunnocksTcake how are you ladies doing? Went back to the beginning of the thread by accident and realized hadn't seen you guys post in a while. @TunnocksTcake how's pregnant life treating you? Have you been bitten by the sickness, it can be the worst thing ever that's for sure
