Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

Hi @danielasummer im still secretly symptom spotting etc but not telling OH that 😂😂 but we managed to DTD every second day then every day over the weekend when i think i ovulated. We have a busy month this month. Away a lot. So af is due anywhere between 27th and 31st. But im away until 3rd jan so ill hopefully test then. Hopefully get an early birthday present. When are you testing?

@Diamond94 this is Great news! First cautious pregnancy of the thread? I can't actuallysee a line but I'm not good at these things and if others can it adds up to dates it seems. Test again the end of the week I reckon and fingers crossed it'll be stronger

@danielasummer hey lovely, you are going to dtd loads more over Christmas, it's all about the wine and the pre bed quickie! In the end it does only take once and those times seem like a good place to start. Christmas and new year will be over in a blink of an eye and you'll be in this space soon enough.

It's going to happen for us, i'd give you mine this month if I was getting a bfp and could. I really don't mind ttc in January/Feb, good birthday times for schooling, though winter babies do get all of the colds doing the rounds!.

@Lucy5546 same here, the relaxed approach, no opk, no temps, no rummaging around to find ones cervix .... Just copious amounts of sex and , it's not mentioned much on here, ORGASMS.

You see so much about opks, first response tests ECT ECT

What about our orgasms women! We should all be having these as much as possible as well 😆

Organisms help you actually get pregnant 🙏

@danielasummer thank you, i will test again in morning with the other frer.. iv ordered more off amazon for delivery tomorrow so finger crossed 🤞🏼

@ChampooPapi yes we have had all the sex and orgasms. I just hope i can stay this way now til AF is due. Haha.
I read on another thread that DTD during TWW can actually be bad for implantation etc. Anyone else heard of this??

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well and staying sane in the TWW. Haven't been very active as not much to report, the usual when you don't OV til around CD18-20 but I'm CD15 now so not long to go, trying to stick to SMEP as much as possible but took some of the earlier days off and it's sort of based around a cycle where someone ov's on CD14(ish).

@Diamond94 I can see something, I don't want to get your hopes up tho as last month I had the same thing with 2 FRER's, only to get negatives & AF, and I have also seen other threads about false positives on FRER's, I think they have a bad rep at the moment, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that this isn't the case for you!

@ChampooPapi hehehe organisms!! 😂😂 made me laugh! But yes alllll the orgasms! I told dh that this month and he was very sceptical!!

@danielasummer hello lovely 👋 I don't know when to test.. def before the weekend as we are having a party! Don't know how long I can hold out. Now this evening I am feeling decidedly normal- neither pg or af! Trying to keep hopes low. Will see what temp does tomorrow, I think that may be key 🤞🏻

@Lucy5546 I've read that but also seen people say it helps make the environment more welcoming..? 🧐 yet another confusing ttc factor

@Diamond94 I see a line on your FRER and I usually can't on mpst of the line threads, fingers crossed for you!

@danielasummer Thanks for including me :) I have failed at SMEP, last BD on CD18 and not bothered since. I ovulated on CD16 so it's hard to keep doing it when I'm probably not fertile, especially as DP is working all the time now on the run up to christmas :( Cramps still there, due AF Monday will see if I can wait till then!

@Bunny2006 thank you! I really hope its a positive 🤞🏼🤞🏼.. are you planning on testing soon?

@Diamond94 I only have one FRER left so I'm going to try and save it until Monday or day or so later if no AF x

Hi ladies. I hope you don't mind me joining. We've been TTC for 9 months now. And this month we (well I) want to give SMEP a try. I got my first ever static CB OPK last Sunday and have been BD a lot since! 🙈 Finger crossed I'm actually ovulating this cycle! I took Pregnacare Conception before and it seems to lengthen my cycle and I never got positive OPK so I stop taking it this month.

@fayy123 eeep! Due on Thursday I think. I did feel a bit sick this morning and have an annoyingly runny nose which I've had the past couple of days along with headaches. Have a few cramps but they feel different to af and I remember them from my mmc pregnancy in the summer. I will do a big post on symptoms when I've had it confirmed by digi, I always love looking at other people's symptoms

@danielasummer thank you lovely I'm so happy but trying not to get ahead of myself until I have it on a digi or see a line progression! God we're never happy are we?!!
No I haven't told him yet! 🙊 he had already left for work when I did the test and I want to show him the test in person. He's going to be so happy!

@TunnocksTcake I didn't need to open the photo either! When you get a line like that a few days early your are well pregnant 😆 it'll probably say 2-3 weeks when you do a digital, your having a baby 🎊🥳

@TunnocksTcake I am so happy for you, scanning abdk I saw and remembered that you had the same situation as me in that you went for your 12 week scan and it revealed the baby stopped at six weeks. I also had the d&c a few days afterwards because I felt exactly the same, I just wanted it to be over and to start again.

You dusted yourself off and girl did you start again! You deserve this so much this month, I am so so happy for you
