@prettygirl5545 I see your dilemma. The only true way to know you ovulated is by tracking your temperature, but you will only know afterwards if you ovulated or not if that makes sense so in hindsight the next month you can see.
Before ovulation, a woman's BBT averages between97°F (36.1°C) and97.5°F (36.4°C). After ovulation, it rises to97.6°F (36.4°C) to98.6°F (37°C). You can track your cycle by taking your BBT every morning. Take your temperature at the same time every day before getting out of bed.

Because relying on the pain isnt the best way (I was told this by a fertility doc)

Has your husband been checked?? Your cycles sound okay. When you have used ovulation test before have you got a positive on it?

Ellsbells112 · 06/12/2019 18:01

@prettygirl5545 not just in hindsight though, if you track your ewcm, do ovulation tests and track your temperature you have an all round winner I think! I'm starting tracking temp now

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/12/2019 18:15

Ooh! Thank you so much for all these information. These is my first time trying. I didn't know a lot about temperatures. I will surely use opks this month and track temps. Yes my husband had got himself checked. Everything was fine with him and seeing my cycle they had said everything seems fine, it was just 1 month of ttc then. But i never gave them any samples of blood or urine.

This time i will use opks again.

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/12/2019 18:16

@Ellsbells112 sorry forgot to tag. ❤️

nt1992 · 06/12/2019 18:32

@PrettyGirl5545 whatever happens AF or no AF we're all here for you, and we'll always be here for you no matter how many cycles it takes for you to get your BFP😘

Ellsbells112 · 06/12/2019 18:46

@prettygirl5545 no problem anytime ❤️ Ttc is really hard and we need all the support we can get. Okay that's great then, you'll be able to see if there is an issue while tracking temperature and opk tests. Also the thermometer you need to use is not an ear one it's not affective, one you can put in your mouth is what I use. While you start up these things on your side since it's been a year definitely go back to doctors and get them to start testing xx

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/12/2019 18:59

@nt1992 @Ellsbells112 thank you so much😭 i also use the same, the one you can put in your mouth. And i will be ready this month. I will convince my husband somehow and visit the doc asap.

nt1992 · 06/12/2019 19:22

Girls my head is so sore😫😫 never felt a head ache like to

EightiesBaby · 06/12/2019 21:40

@nt1992 how your head now? I've had one on and off for days Sad I think it's the progesterone for me though...when I was in the pill and trying to find the right one I'd suffer horrendous headaches on some of the progesterone only pills!
I've been doing way too much Google doctoring lately Blush and I'm now panicking that I've fckd up my cycles by putting on too much weight...I wouldn't class myself as a big woman at all compared to the average, I'm short and quite small apart from my belly (size14/16--) was a 12 around a yr and a half ago...(let's just say life experiences caught up with me and I put my mental health before my physical health as it were!)...Decided if AF doesn't show up I'm booking a gp appt on Monday.
My feet ache today and I'm desperate for a long piping hot bath (have been since DTD for TTC!!!)

PrettyGirl5545 · 06/12/2019 22:14

Girls! Af arrived. As usual.

Louu99 · 07/12/2019 01:00

I'm popping in and out (as usual), mainly because I've been rushed off my feet and don't want to spend time on my phone during the little downtime I have!

This is a totally non TTC related post.
I've read some other threads on here, and it seems as if there's a lot of man bashing. Long, detailed stories about someone's troubles followed by lots of "leave him!" "Run away!" Comments almost immediately, without asking for other details. Which sometimes is probably the right advice but anyway, I digress!

Do these type of comments ever make you look at your other half and think "shit, I'm lucky"?
My other half is currently spread eagle in the middle of the bed "keeping it safe so no baddies can come in" while I brush my teeth etc 😂 he's basically too tired to get out, but it's the small things that make me go like this 😍

I'm not sure what's happening to me, I've been mega stressed and now I've turned to slush 😂
Anyone else?! Partner appreciation post?! Xx

FutureMrsSmith · 07/12/2019 08:07

My partner drives me up the wall, leaves his coat on the banister, his work bag downstairs, always manages to turn the tap on when I'm in the shower! But he is one in a million.
I got a text yesterday saying he worships the ground I walk on 😍 he would go to the end of the world and back for me and that respect and love is actually very hard to find these days.

In other news, I managed to cut my head open whilst getting ready for my Xmas party! Could only happen to me. OH is away this weekend luckily my work mum was downstairs. I called her up whilst barely wrapped in my towel before she caught me mid feint. The square shower head fell point down straight into my head! It was like a murder scene in the bathroom. And this is why I don't drink.....

Mangaroo · 07/12/2019 13:00

@FutureMrsSmith Omg, that is very scary! Did you neec stitches? Hope you are okay now!

FutureMrsSmith · 07/12/2019 15:18

I think I just got away with no stitches!

PrettyGirl5545 · 08/12/2019 05:59

@nt1992 how are you doing?
@Ellsbells112 i have ordered opks hopeful that I'll receive them on time. I asked my DH again to let me go to the doc. But he is scared to let me go as I'll be stressing myself a lot more than before. He says stressing is itself a very big issue when ttc and that's what I do he says. I was like okay we'll try for one more month and visit the doc after our wedding anni.

Ellsbells112 · 08/12/2019 09:23

@PrettyGirl5545 well, at a year mark you would need to go doctors anyway but if you want to wait a month then yeah see how this month goes with opk tests. The thing is you're stressed out anyway. I feel like I can't stop worrying about it until I know for certain there isn't an issue and it's just a timing thing lol. I'm 6dpo and feel nothing atm 🙄😓

mellymoo86 · 08/12/2019 10:09

@FutureMrsSmith sorry to hear about the accident, I hope you are ok and don't feel any dizziness. We had a scare earlier this year. My mum was walking out of the front door whilst grabbing something backwards, tripped over the carpet and fell and hit her head on the pavement. Dad was the only one there and he was using his phone and sitting in the car so he never saw it. Think a couple minutes into it he looked up and saw her lying in a pool of blood. I was working at home and he called me crying and saying mum, fell, hit her head. I think my heart literally came to my mouth, I literally ran out of the house and ran to them. She was ok touch wood, they stapled her head and put some stitches in. I ended up nearly fainting when I was trying to calm her down. Never seen so much blood streaming down before.

@PrettyGirl5545 Stress truly is a silent killer but then we get stress from all aspects of our life. Just try to do what you can to switch off when possible. It's important you and OH are in it together so if your compromise is one more point then go for it.

@Ellsbells112 Still early days. I felt nothing at all during the whole process last month. I know the feeling though, you want to feel some cramps OR SOMETHING lol

@CiaraJ01 how are you? Are you lying in your vomit somewhere? Lol only kidding

@Skygirl1983 hope you're ok?

Ellsbells112 · 08/12/2019 10:19

@mellymoo86 oh really did you not feel anything at all?? I know that's happened to me one time I was pregnant and didn't know till 6 weeks! But when I'm actually trying haha I really want to feel something like you said. I had like cramps and headaches yesterday but I just don't think it's to do with anything as my temperatures don't show an implantation dip or anything and it's early. It's all I think about I swear yesterday I just wanted to cry I saw a girl I hadn't seen in a few years and she had a 1 year old and she was 5 months pregnant. So happy for her but I couldn't help but to feel my heart break a little, I want this so bad and I'm scared that it won't happen 🤦‍♀️😓 sorry, Ttc frustration! Sigh...
You'll be fertile this week coming right? I think you have a good chance, I've found my friends who've had cp are really fertile after so fingers crossed for you my lovely xxx

mellymoo86 · 08/12/2019 10:32

@Ellsbells112 Nope felt nothing. I had my usual craziness of symptom spotting but when I think about it there was nothing extra special. The only thing was that instead of having a AF I spotted for 5 days. Assumed it was a light AF but now I know it wasn't.

Yeah I totally understand. You're happy for them but feel sad internally as well. My cousins gf is coming for Xmas dinner this time. She is 5 months. I don't really like her and now she's pregnant so annoys me a little lol. She was like I don't want kids, I don't want to get married just a year ago and now both has happened. Typical!

Yeah this week is my fertile week, im cycle day 10 today. Some apps say to start from today but cb and the cheap opks show nothing so plan is to start from Tuesday/Wednesday. We have cleared Wednesday for our date night 😉

SpimblesDimbles · 08/12/2019 11:01

Hello! Hope you don't mind me joining :).

I am new to this forum and new to TTC, currently in our 1st month. I havent tracked CM, temperature or use OPKs, all goes a bit over my head! Confused.

I use an app called 'Flo' (has anyone used this?) and according to this am currently 5DPO, AF due on the 18th. Had mild cramps for the past few days, slightly dizzy and have felt sick... although haven't been! Waiting for AF to not show before I do a test or get too hopeful (so hard though!).

CiaraJ01 · 08/12/2019 12:05

@Louu99 I totally get this. Me and my OH bicker like siblings and argue about the most random things (once over jellyfish I kid you not) but I've got up this morning slightly delicate after my night out (no vomit @mellymoo86 😂) to a cup of coffee waiting to be poured and some paracetamol with a bite that hes walked the dog and popped to work for a few hours since I'll be hungover, and will be back later to help put up the tree together in some christmas jammies 😂😂 And I'm like god he loves me. Quite lucky. We forget sometimes!! I especially do 😕

@mellymoo86 I'm a little hungover but I blame drinking draft over bottles. My OH was well impressed when I strolled in just after 10pm though! I drank quite a bit but probably not nearly as much as usual, I think I'm more serious about this TTC than I let on!

CiaraJ01 · 08/12/2019 12:11

@Ellsbells112 totally get it. My younger brother didnt plan my 2 year old nephew and his girlf already has a 6 year old.. also unplanned. And they're now expecting another in June that definitely wasnt planned! When they told me I'd just had my first BFN and it did sting a little! I was then more cross with myself I didnt feel pure happiness for them instead of like 99%.
Like how have they not learnt their lesson after 2?! And how can they have 3 by accident and I'm struggling to have 1 that's planned on charts and schedules?!

But they are younger and like someone said on this thread a while back... they've subconsciously "tried" a million times without thinking, we're just super aware.

It WILL happen for us 🤞

@PrettyGirl5545 I'd have a chat with your GP, you're stressed anyway and it wont hurt going sooner 💕

Ellsbells112 · 08/12/2019 12:55

@mellymoo86 ahh that's nice! Good luck to you for this cycle! I guess we fixate on what we think we should feel "I should be cramping and feeling sick" haha but it's suuuuper early.
I just hope we all get some good news soon!

@ciaraj01 yup exactly. What really does my head in is when people just pop them out and don't want them. Or treat them like garbage, it makes my blood boil.
I know what you mean though I felt super guilty for feeling sad too I was like urgh stop it be super happy lol but it's one of those things isn't it

nt1992 · 08/12/2019 19:47

Hi girls! Sorry been quiet, was on a last minute xmas night out with my work last night had the best time ever!

In other news still getting lots of CM cervix is high closed and wet. I'm 7DPO today.

mellymoo86 · 08/12/2019 20:30

@CiaraJ01 Hope you had a nice cosy day in today. Is your tree up? My Xmas shopping is finally done, going to wrap tomorrow. Hope your hangover is better. @Ellsbells112 Super duper excited for fertile week this week. It's been 1 month since last trying so I'm glad that it's finally here. Let's just hope I ovulate as normal. And yeah it's still early for you. Everyone is different and things happen at different times so don't worry until AF arrives. When is AF date for you?
