DH looked very confused for a moment when I'd left an opk to develop in the bathroom, he made a good point that they look nearly identical as I accidentally did a pg test instead of an opk test last cycle.

Dippytique · 03/02/2020 19:07

@Anny27 Ohh I know exactly what you mean. Sorry you've had to put up with that. It’s rubbish that people have no clue or tact. I have a family christening on the weekend and am already dreading all the comments of ‘why haven’t you had a baby yet?’ ‘you’re next’ etc etc.

@Kiza no unusual stress for me- just work stuff. So can’t see that delaying it. It is very odd for it to be so late! Glad you’re enjoying your new headspace. I’d love to try reflexology!

@Lottiepink Yep, it’s now been 11 days. I’ll retest in the morning and then ring the GP. I just feel anxious about wasting their time if it turns out I’m just late. But it is justifiable as it’s just not normal for me.

I’m wondering whether my cervical screening might have delayed AF? I only remembered this morning that I’d had it done on 14th Jan. Already had The results back too- all fine- but perhaps that could be the reason for the delay?

whatsthecraic91 · 03/02/2020 19:30

Trying to catch up after being away! Was back last night and then work today was absolutely mental! We have hit our busiest time so that will be me flat out for the next 3 months which is a great distraction!! Trip was fab, partied like an 18 year old for 3 days and it was so much fun 😂😂 feeling it now tho but was definitely worth it!

@Lottiepink so sorry about DHs results how is he now? My DP hasn’t rang yet he says he will this week, I think he’s nervous about the results.

@Anny27 I don’t log my EWCM on femometer now after that, I just put it on my Flo app.

CD10 so gearing up for lots of DTD, already started last night as I missed my DP so much!!

ValidUser · 03/02/2020 20:55

@Anny27 I feel your pain! Loads of women at work have had twins and someone told me to watch out.

So I told her that I actually need IVF and will do single embryo transfer only.

My inner petty teenager really enjoyed that. X

Anny27 · 04/02/2020 08:46

Morning :D start of fertile week and my "is this sperm or is it EWCM" mystery starts again 🤣🤣

@whatsthecraic91 glad you had a lovely time! Judging from your names if 91 is you dob you are same age as as me (28) so partying like 18 year olds must have been a shock haha

@ValidUser I would have very much enjoyed that aswell. When I am pregnant I think I will say to the people who made me feel uncomfortable as I don't want other women to feel that way. Might keep a list in my phone 🤣🤣 extra petty!

When I was pregnant (literally 4.5 weeks) someone asked if I was pregnant and I felt horrible lying but also I will tell them when ready!

@Dippytique older family members are the worst for it! Any sign yet of AF or otherwise?

@Lozzlepop there is always one office know it all! Are you enjoying the newly engaged bliss? I remember being sk precious about my hand and my ring haha :)

@kiza from nurses that's shocking! Obviously have never gone through that themselves as it's both a physical and emotional thing!

@1990shopefulftm my DH has thought that a few times, I have learnt before showing him to say, this is an ovulation test not pregnancy haha

Lottiepink · 04/02/2020 09:04

Morning,

Wel last nights app was in a way a waste of time, dr was running an hour late and basically couldn't tell us anything, but we have now been referred. Don't know why that can't be done over the phone 😬 so they just said it can take around 3 months, so waiting game really!

@lozzlepop
pleased you had a great time away, thanks for the message 😊

@Anny27 he's lots better now thank you, went into melt down initially, but a lot clearer headspace now thankfully. He's agreed to start on vitamins, and just continue as we are. We are thinking of telling immediate family now as he feels they have a right to know, I'm a bit skeptical as I'm quite a private person though...

@Kiza thats great, pleased things are moving on for you, and the fact you ha e decided to ease back a bit, well done you 😊

@Dippytique don't think you are wasting their time, you obviously need some answers, good luck, let me know how you get on!

@whatsthecraic91 hope yours are better news than ours, he's ok now thank you, well as much as can be expected. Pleased you had a great time away, I assume it was just what you needed!

whatsthecraic91 · 04/02/2020 09:21

@Anny27 haha same here! We are going out Friday night and getting a nice hotel and I’m ovulating Friday apparently so here’s hoping 🤞🏼 Just hope I have the energy this week as work is madness 😓 yes I am 28 - omg defo a shock haha

@Lottiepink you don’t realise how hard it can be on the men too, I always forget that. He is calling tomorrow for his results so I’ll let yous know how it goes

orangeloo · 04/02/2020 14:27

@kiza definitely think I have LPD in respect of the spotting. Hope you enjoy a much needed break for hardened ttc it is so draining.

@tocaden good to know that info about clomid.

@Lottiepink I choose emrita and had to buy from eBay. They do ones in The uk but emrita is safe for use in pregnancy. I chose that because if you fall pregnant You have to keep using it until week 12 or 16. That's brilliant re your luteal phase becoming longer.

@Lozzlepop I would listen to your nurse. My friend is the first to admit she isn't the toughest so if nurse said it's okay I guess it should be.

Cycle day 31, 14dpo, BFN on a FRER. So stopped the progesterone cream today. Cycle 14 just around the corner I guess. Ugh 🙄. So fed up of ttc.

ToCaden · 04/02/2020 18:29

@orangeloo sorry this cycle wasn't a success. I agree about the getting fed up with ttc. Going into it I thought it was going to be so simple.

Lottiepink · 04/02/2020 19:25

@whatsthecraic91 honestly, if it was me I don't think he wouldn't understand, I'm quite good that way thinking about him 🙈🤣 but yes it's a strain for them isn't it!

@orangeloo thank you for info, I don't spot but my luteal was usually only 10 days, so suspected that could have been an issue, last 2 have been longer like 13/14 days, no idea why. Will see what I'm like this cycle and decide whether I should try it 😊
Sorry to hear you got a bfn, so flipping hard 😭

We got a call today with an app for fertility clinic. 2nd week of March, so nice to have a date in the diary!

ValidUser · 04/02/2020 19:35

@Anny27 I love a good list.

OP posts:
Kiza · 04/02/2020 19:48

@ValidUser good for you! Such a great response to make her think twice next time!

@Anny27 haha for the ewcm v sperm mystery I usually try and pull it in between my fingers 😆 gross but helps most of the time!

@Lottiepink sorry to hear your appointment with the GP last night felt a waste of a time but on a positive note wow your consultant appointment came through super fast! We had to wait 3 months! Will this be an appointment with a fertility consultants the hospital to discuss your results in more detail and perhaps order more tests for you? Not sure if you've ordered your vits but our consultant recommended Coenzyme Q10, Zinc, vitamin E and he also takes Ashwaghanda. It works out pricey and we shall see in our 2nd consultant post if it's made any difference to his morphology.

@orangeloo sounds like keeping up with the progesterone cream, such a shame the NHS don't recognise LPD. Sorry you've had a BFN, any AF symptoms?

Spotting has frustratingly come back for me after disappearing when I had Accupuncture last summer. Been spotting since Saturday, CD25, 12DPO and now just waiting for the full flow.
On a different note I've been full of energy and happiness since my change of headspace at the weekend, not sure how long it'll last but I'm embracing it 😆

Lushfanatic123 · 04/02/2020 19:58

Hi all,

TTC first baby!

Finished my pack of Cilest on the 3rd January (took my last one in the packet). Had a period or withdrawal bleed on the 6th January for 4/5 days.

Had a whole month without the pill now and have come on again today (4th Feb). Does this count as a withdrawal bleed or a true period?

I'm confused!

Any help?

Wishing everyone good luck with getting their BFP!

ValidUser · 04/02/2020 21:17

@Kiza thank you!

@Lushfanatic123 that's a period!

OP posts:
Lushfanatic123 · 04/02/2020 21:21

Thank you for your response!

I hope so, it was 29 days between them.

Fingers crossed for people getting their BFP's!

ValidUser · 04/02/2020 21:46

@Lushfanatic123 a withdrawal bleed is what you get directly after stopping the pill (within days).

You're at least a cycle away from having stopped. It's biologically not related to the pill.

You likely ovulated within a few weeks of stopping the pill and then got a period (now).

OP posts:
Lushfanatic123 · 04/02/2020 21:58

Thank you.

Fingers crossed then 🤞

ValidUser · 04/02/2020 22:32

@Lushfanatic123 crossing everything for you! X

@Kiza I know, I feel bad for twining now, it was the doctors that rang and booked us with a consultant at the hospital. Yeh I think that's what it is, it was DH that they rang so I didn't get to ask my 1 million questions 😂
What happened at your first app? Because it's DH that's technically been referred i assume it's to talk about his results, but surely that's when they will then get me booked in for my scans etc? I've just ordered the wellman for conception vitamins. They have all that it apart from the ashwaghanda. Do you just buy them all separately?
That's a shame about the spotting again, will you consider the acupuncture again? So good to hear that you are feeling fab, the relaxing about it all will do you the world of good 😊

Lozzlepop · 05/02/2020 09:44

Morning ladies,

Happy Wednesday!

@Kiza good on you, that sounds like an absolutely perfect day!! Thats great you have your TV scan booked in for so soon, I need to work out if AF will be due when my HSG scan is booked in.

@whatsthecraic91 welcome back ☺️

@Anny27 hahaha I know!!! Yes still loving it, just trying to work out when we will be able to get married so putting the feelers out already, if its more likely to be towards the end of next year then we will get back on the TTC bandwagon. I know what you mean, my ring gets locked in my drawer at lunch when I go to the gym lol!

@orangeloo haha well I'm not sure, I don't like the feeling of getting a smear -weird things tend to gross me out! Sorry it was a BFN

@Lottiepink thats fantastic that you got a date and its just next month!

Got a positive OPK last night so glad that things seem to have returned to normal fairly quickly!

Kiza · 05/02/2020 11:51

@Lottiepink yes we were referred due to his results but in the 1st consultation she asked about both our histories and strongly recommended no alcohol for him. She also sent me for a load of tests as she said if all my results come back fine then the issue is with him (if his 2nd SA comes back the same) and then our only option is IVF. She said if his results come back better she will still refer us to IVF as I'm 39, he's 36 and we've been trying for 18 months.
So hopefully I'll have my 2 final tests done by next week and can get our consultation booked again (probably another 3 month wait for that 🙄). He buys the supps individually as we have a very healthy diet so didn't want to overdo any of the other supps.
Don't worry about moaning in here- that's what we are all hear for!!

@Lushfanatic123 welcome to the group, definitely sounds like your first proper bleed and good that it was within a month time frame.

@Lozzlepop I think I keep on getting the HSG and HycoSy mixed up... are they the same thing?

Spotting has stopped today... but AF due Friday

MIW01 · 05/02/2020 14:17

Sorry to hear about SA @Lottiepink I'm sure you're already aware about the lifestyle changes ges and all that to try.

@ValidUser and @Anny27 I am also so fed up with people's attitudes!

Well I am really hating life right now. 3 friends ds and my sister announced they are pregnant this January. Gynae written to say they have no appointments - thank goodness for Bupa but that will only get us so far as not for infertility! I'm currently off sick this week struck down by tonsillitis, chesty cough, flu etc. I feel so depressed I think I am suffering depression, ever since I found d out about the polyp I have no libido which has never happened to me! I've got my first Bupa appointment tonight and my f**g period has started 2 days earlier! I've absolutely had enough of this s**t tbh and at the end of my tether with it all.

1990shopefulftm · 05/02/2020 16:46

Not had a positive opk yet or any sign of them getting darker, didn't think to take pictures last cycle so I don't have the comparison but I had a definite positive on cd14 and I m cd13 now so hopefully it's just I m not drinking enough or something.

@MIW01 that's a lot of announcements around you , be kind to yourself. Hopefully Bupa gets you some answers, you can order kits to do fertility bloods online if you wanted to know from that perspective without seeing a specialist yet.

Dippytique · 05/02/2020 17:05

Still no sign of AF here. 13 days over now. I’ve done 3 more tests since the last one and all BFN. I feel sick and ridiculously emotional- like I’m about to burst into tears at any second. I have convinced myself that this is PMT but each day there is no sign of AF. I’ve decided to ring the GP on Friday as I’ll be over 2 weeks overdue then. I just want to know now what the hell is going on .

MIW01 · 05/02/2020 17:20

Thanks @1990shopefulftm that's good to know but think I've done all the blood tests now. My OPK instructions say don't drink 2 hours before the test.

So the other aspect is I've just been honest and told them the truth when they ask about back ties cause it was just getting ridiculous with all the announcements. So lots of people are now aware we've been referred for infertility and hopefully wont be quite so insensitive from now on, we'll see.
