December bus - testing first week of december

Hi all,

AF arrived today so thought I would start a new thread....feel free to join.

First cycle since MMC and ERPC on 1st October, following BFP straight after implant removal.

Bit odd for me, first proper AF in a few years.

Hoping this is the month!

Hi girls, can I join in? I recognise some from previous months bus! I've been staying away from the boards after feeling miserable about AF coming end of October but now think 1dpo so thought I'd join the 2WW again!

Not exactly feeling postitive about this month as OH been ill, we only managed to dtd lunchtime the following day after getting the +OPK test the previous day lunchtime, so 24 hours after I picked up the surge. That was yesterday, so am guessing 1dpo today, probably not worth stressing OH out to dtd tonight as think it's prob to late.

Anyhow, look forward to the symptom spotting girls!

Age 37, ttc #3, cycle 13. MC at 5 weeks in July. Cycle has been ranging from 25 - 31 days, think I am now 6dpo. Trying not to symptom spot! Good luck to everyone in the 2ww.

I got my static this morning 😁 I have been fed up of scheduled sex so not tried as hard this month. DTD Saturday and last night. Won't be able to tonight as I am away with work but will have one more try tomorrow just in case and then it's the dreaded 2WW. Not feeling particularly hopeful but then I never do. Hoping not to symptom spot this month but will probably be no chance of that.

Hello ladies.
Can I join the thread? I am 32, trying to conceive since Feb 2019, got BFP in March and MC in April. Since then nothing... Got my positive ovulation test on Monday which means I might be at D+1. DTD Thursday, Monday and yesterday, will do again tonight but might be probably too late for now.. I am hopping so much this is the month and I could announce a BFP 7th of December to my OH as will be our 6th year anniversary.. Anyway I dont have much hope neither to be honest, as I have been TTC for more than 6months now and so far nothing.. Fingers crossed for everybody ladies and let's keep us posted! smile

@Nic555 that sounds really positive if you got static this morning and managed to DTD yesterday!

@shuckle hopefully ☺️ as they say it only takes one's. I've heard people DTD every day and getting BFP then others only once so you never know.

@AliSxo I got my first flashy Monday. Normally I get three flashing expressions the static. I did a cheapy this morning as well which didn't show as positive but trusting the CB as they require higher level of LH

@atouchoffrenchy welcome to the group. Sorry to hear of your miscarriage. Fingers crossed u get your BFP this month. It's always nice if u can announce it on a special occasion. It's mine and my DH birthdays next week so will be a belated birthday present if I'm pregnant. Then in January it's 5 years together which would also be nice timing. However at this point anytine would do me 😊 xx

@Nic555 I'm going to keep doing the IC's - if there's a darker line on one should I save the urine (I know gross!) and also use a digital? The digitals are so expensive I swear they want you to buy more sticks!! I've only got 2 left so could save one for tomorrow morning and see from there? Xx

I only ever use the cheap stick ones! I've used for a few months and have always achieved a definite positive for one day in the cycle with them (however after 4 months still not preg). How does this one day of positive compare with the "smiley" concept your taking about?! With the cheap ones you can't really judge anything about the colour of the line so literally don't know if ur coming up to a positive or not really and just know that one day when u get a positive that you've caught the surge.

With the cheap ones the positive is the peak of the surge and therefore is this already a bit late to start trying if you've not been dtd much beforehand? Me and OH just couldn't do it every other day and only really dtd at weekends, so could miss ov entirely if we didn't do the sticks (my cycles range from 29-34) and make a special effort

Imagine if we could go as a collective to the OPK manufacturers and negotiate a special rate for a truck load 😂

@HugeAgeGap the CB purple ones also test for estrogen which rises a few days before ovulation so they give you more notice. Whereas when you get the static you only have a couple of days to try. If you're DTD every other day it probably wouldn't make much difference but it's quite nice not having to schedule sex so much if you do the clear blue. You can also use FMU so no holding it in for four hours. I've had cycles before when I only had to use 4 cos I timed testing right xx

@AtouchofFrenchy we are snap! I got a positive OPk on Monday afternoon, OH was I'll Monday so couldn't dtd Monday, but managed Saturday morning then yesterday (Tuesday) lunchtime and for good measure will try this evening. I'm not feeling that positive as Saturday was to early, and potentially Tuesday and today will be to late, I really wish we'd managed to on Monday but can't make OH feel bad!!! I've had a much longer cycle this month than normal, as my positive OPK happened on cycle day 19, it's usually 15/16.

@Sunshinexx95 I've used an app I found called Premom and u can take photos of your opk sticks and it analyses them for you. I was struggling to tell whether one was positive or not before the actual obvious positive came through and this app got it quite accurate when I look back.

I can post pics of my sticks and their analysis if anyone wants to compare!

@ceebee21 I'm 6dpo now. Each time I've been pregnant I've gotten bfp's super early. Earliest being 8dpo which was in September. Each time ive tested as ive dreamt the same dream each time that I was pregnant lol. My body just likes to make it known when I'm pregnant 😂. How many dpo are you?

Hey @HugeAgeGap the digital OPKS are a bit fiddly when you first get to know them but there's a good YouTube video by CB explaining how to use them. DTD everyday apart from Sunday and I think we're both fed up of it now! Rubbish when it gets to this point because it's more of a chore xx

@HugeAgeGap also the internet cheap OPKS are much darker today so they're in tune with the digitals xxx
