TTC journey starting late Nov 2019!

Hey out there!

Thought I'd start a little thread to see if anybody will be in the same boat.

Finally decided to start our TTC journey! Very excited and a little nervous!

This will be our first baby, I'm 28 and my husband is 27. We have been together over 8 years. I have already started taking folic acid with vitamin D to get used to taking it.

Looking at TTC after we are back from our holiday to New York in November.

Currently on Cerelle and been on this for 4 years before this I was on the implant and then before this another pill from about 16.

I have no idea about cycles and not really had regular periods since I was 15!

@Loubell19 - Ah yeah my periods this year have been different each cycle! Ranging from 26 day cycles to 38 day cycles and I swear the more I wanted to come on the longer it delayed! Swear sometimes it’s psychological like you really want it so you stress about it and it don’t happen.. But don’t worry it WILL happen just keep doing the cheap OPK sticks I didn’t think I’d ever get a positive on them and then today I did! Exciting times for us all! I already have 3 children so TTC baby number 4 over here (am I mad or am I mad?!) haha

@Elmlee hahaha fair play, when I was on the pill many years ago my sex drive was none existent so I hear ya sister!

I’m just becoming slowly obsessed with becoming pregnant already lol one niggle at a time!!

@JayJ0 that's how I feel with the opks not had any sign yet! Will carry on though for now but going to he most useful next cycle when I know what day I'm on!

@Loubell19 Hope you're getting on ok since having your implant out. I had mine out in the middle of October after 9 years. AF came 2 weeks later and I've settled into a 29 day cycle straight away so fingers crossed you'll be ok x

@Jane0510 yeah all seems to be okay just getting a lot of nausea. No sign of AF or a positive OPK yet hopefully should get a sign of something happening soon! 2 weeks will be Friday for me. Ah that's good! I did have regular periods before going on contraception so fingers crossed all will be ok!

@Loubell19 yeah baby number 1! I've been married over a year now and I'm 34 so thought I'd better get on with it!

@Jane0510 I'm no 1 too! I'm only 27 but we got married 1st and weve ended being up the last to get pregnant! Feeling so broody from all the babies that are friends have just had!

Hi everyone, hope its ok to join :)

Stats: I'm 27, DH 28, TTC #1 after a missed miscarriage in October (that pregnancy was a happy surprise for us both) as we weren't going to start trying until January..made us realise we desperately wanted to start now, so began TTC in that same cycle! Have been off hormonal birth control for 3+ years. Suspected low progesterone and hypothyroidism so I'm having tests. I track BBT and CM :) will be using OPKs next cycle if not successful this cycle, and will be doing SMEP too!

So I had a temp dip today from 36.2-36.4 down to 36.0 this morning although I have only been tracking my bbt for a week.
I also had this OPK result today but it was concentrated urine as hadnt been drinking well today.
I did have some left lower abdominal pain as well last night.. didnt think I'd ever had ovulation pain but then again cant say I was looking out for it pre contraception aged 16!
I havent got at EWCM but my cervix feels high and soft.

Does anyone think I could be ovulating?!

Hey @danielasummer really sorry to hear about your miscarriage that must have been really hard. That bug does hit you though doesnt it as soon as you start thinking about it you want to get pregnant straight away! We were going to wait til February for a better mat leave package (only been in my current job since august) but dont want to wait! I'm the same going to do SMEP next month if no luck this time! Baby dust to you too! Let us know how you're getting on xx

Ooh I'm not usually superstitious but just after sending that message my hubby just cracked 3 eggs and had 2 double yolkers 🤣 is the universe trying to tell me I'm ovulating too Haha!

How are you getting on? AF arrived for me yesterday in full force so I guess it's onto the next cycle for me! Will be trying SMEP :) I would say that the OPK pic you put up wasn't quite positive but getting there. Have you tested since? x

I’ve been looking for a thread like this for a few days. I am 24 and my husband is 26, we have been married for 19 months now. I had my IUD removed in June and we used condoms until last month. Went on holiday last month and I tracked my cycle and was ovulating whilst away- I thought what a great time to TTC when we were both relaxed and in the sunshine. Got a negative result last week and got my AF the day afterwards. I have bought some ovulation kits to try this month but I’m trying not to let it rule my life. OH says “just let it happen” but finding it hard to just go with the flow at the moment!

Anyone else overthinking this way more than they thought they would? Oh well, at least I can have a little drink over the Christmas period...

Hi everyone how are we all doing? I need some opinions on the test I took today! Please be honest I won’t be offended! So the circle area is meant to be a cross .. I feel like I can see a really faint line but don’t no if I’m seeing it because I want to if that makes sense?! Yes I have lost the plot lol! Also do faint lines appear after a while on tests even if your not pregnant does anyone no? TIA xx

@LuluRM we work shifts aswell 🙈 how hard is it trying to BD.. i stopped my pill end of October, had a withdrawal bleed 5 weeks later.. so if i counted that as AF i am CD15.. though iv had a small amount of pink staining the last couple of days.. what about you?

@Diamond94 tell me about it 🤣🙈 only tried for one cycle so far. Currently cd 5 and predicting to ovulate on Christmas Day at the moment haha! Good luck 🤞🏼

Hey @danielasummer yep so I got a peak lh on the 6th and by bbt looks like ovulated on the 7th! I'm relieved I know my cycle is working now post contraception! 4dpo now going to test on the 20th as have an xmas party that evening so I can drink without worrying if I get BFN. Let me know how you get on with SMEP- seems lots have success with this!

@LuluRM @diamond94 it's so hard to be relaxed when ttc isn't it! Logic tells you to relax about it but so hard to get carried away especially if a type a personality like me 🙋‍♀️🙈.

@JayJ0 does seen to be a v faint line! How many dpo are you? X

I’m only 9dpo so I’m just being really eager I can’t help myself this wait seems like years lol.. I’ll test again over the weekend x

@Loubell19 how many days dpo are you now? I’ve tested about a thousand times and all are pretty much negative! How many days after DTD should you see a positive ? Does anyone no?

@JayJ0 I read something online that said the most accurate time to do it is the day before you are due onto your period. I’m going to try and hold off this month until then but we will see! Xx

@LuluRM I’m not due in for another 4 days but I’m just not feeling hopeful now I feel like we DTD so long ago (11days ago) I feel like it would show by now?! Eugh i no im just being impatient but with my third child it took me 11 months to get pregnant and it was the most deflating time month after month I really don’t want it to be like that this time x

Ok just read online that recommended to take a test 21 days after the last unprotected sex and I’m only 11 days past so fingers crossed I’m still in with a chance!
