Really need some help on when I would have conceived.. Horrible situation to be in!
I went for a scan on Monday 30th September, they told me I was 7 week & 4 days. The first day of my last period was around Monday 5th August 2019 ended the Thursday/Friday that week.
I slept with my ex partner Sunday 11th & Monday 12th August after my period. I then started sleeping with my new partner from Saturday 17th August and did do for the rest of the month.
This 2 week they add on to pregnancy is really confusing me! Can anyone please help me?

So according to that you should have conceived around the 10th August so it likely your ex. How long is your cycle normally? I have been told that the dating can be 7 days out in either direction so it could potentially be your new man but less likely imo.

The 7weeks + 4 will include the 2 weeks.

If your cycle is 28 days your were likely most fertile around the 19th which could indicate your new partner, how long is your cycle?

I don't know if there are any experts here who could say which is going to be a more accurate indicator, your fertility cycle or the dating scan.

Likely to be your new partner I think. Ovulation is usually approximately 10-14 days after the first day of your last period

I disagree, it's more likely to be your new boyfriend. Ovulation happens midway through the menstrual cycle do if your period was 5/8, ovulation would have been about 19/8 (assuming 4-week cycle) so you were most fertile around 17-18/8.

The 12th would be the date of conception according to the 7wks plus 4 days measurements. But it's not an exact science so it could be either. More likely your ex though.

It's highly unlikely to be your ex unless you ovulated a week early.

Day 1 of your cycle was 5th, if you have a standard 28 day cycle you’d expect to ovulate on day 14 (18th), however you are fertile upcoming to 6 days before then, and if your cycle is slightly shorter it could easily have been your ex. My friend conceived 2 days after the end of her period (day 7 of cycle) so you really can’t tell I’m afraid. Could be either - wait for DNA.

Gosh sorry I now think 22nd would be date of conception. So more likely new partner.

If you go off of the scan dates it’s more likely your ex, as the 7 weeks 4 days takes you to the 9th of August. Only a DNA test will tell you who is the father for certain though.

Your cycle suggests new boyfriend, the pregnancy dating suggests ex. You won't know until you have a DNA test, sadly. Are both men aware?

The dating scan is an estimation and measures the size of the fetus from the head to its bottom. You may have ovulated earlier that month, or the fetus could actually be 6 weeks gestation as the measurement isn’t accurate. There’s no way of knowing for sure unless you have a DNA test. Also sperm can live inside the uterus for 5 days.

I feel awful been in this position because I feel like I shouldn't go ahead because of how unsure I am and i don't want to hurt anyone but i also don't want to let go of baby 😥

I guess the only thing you can do is to be honest with both guys and tell them you don’t know for certain, but are prepared to do a DNA test after the baby is born.

Only you can decide.

But the child deserves to know. So if you keep the baby, you need to remember that if you have sex with 2 men in one week and end up pregnant, it could be either mans baby.

Not judging, just pointing out that its nor an exact science. Not can answer either way.

Be honest with them both.

No. They have measured the fetus, the dates you’ve been given are from the measurement but can be a week or so out.

The only way of knowing for certain is a DNA test.

Your pregnancy is dated fro the first day I'd your last period.

The dates your scan gives goes by that too. But give a date based on averages. If your baby is naturally smaller or larger than average it can be wrong.

Plus sperm can live for days. And you may not have ovulated in the middle. So its still not certain.

It not like you cheated. You dated one, broke up and dated someone else. That's it. Not like you were stinging them both along. Just tell them

Put 5 weeks and 4 days out if your head. It's not relevant.

You dont know when you ovulated.
