6dpo sharp stitch-like pain on left side

I'm around 6dpo, I've had some mild cramps/twinges the past 2 days and I've just woken up in the night (after a crazy pregnancy dream) with a pain like a stitch just on the left side.

Is this normal? What could it be?

Hi @GoldLeafTree I think we are on another thread together and due AF/BFP around the same time. I'm currently 7/8dpo.

I'm not sure what the stitch type pain is but I'm hoping implantation as I had it yesterday to, just under my ribs on the left side. Was yours that high up?

I've been getting a lot of twinges over the past couple of days but nothing low down so not sure if it's just psychosomatic for me. I also had a zapping/electric shock type pain just beneath my belly button yesterday.

Hopefully it's implantation for us both 🤞 x

Yeah, mine was high up on the left side and really uncomfortable but I've just woken up and now it's gone..

I have a very dull light stomach ache but all the twinges and pains have stopped. Yesterday I just had a feeling I was PG but today I'm not so sure. If i'm not then something really weird has been going on with my body as there aren't normal AF pains.

This is going to drive me crazy!

I really hope it's good news for us both.

Aaaah, I've had stomach ache too, just last night. I also don't usually get these symptoms so I can't help but feel hopeful 🤞

@Each2TheirOwn If we both ovulated at the same time and both have the same stomach ache at the same time then I'm really hoping it's something! I never get AF pains this early

Ache is back now, lower down in my stomach and is very dull/barely noticeable. I really hope the pain last night was implantation

I just want to test now but I know there's no point, this next week is going to be hard

Hi ladies thought I would join in, I think we are all more or less on the same cycle! I’m currently 7DPO, I started getting weird feelings from 5DPO I just have a feeling this is my cycle 🤞 (though I think that most months) but I haven’t had these symptoms before! So in the past couple of days I’ve had a metallic tase in my mouth, cramps, twinges in my lower abdomen and also twinges in my side of lower abdomen, I’ve also had some slight lower back pain and as really sharp pains in my breasts! I didn’t have much symptoms the past few months of trying to hoping this is my month! :)

@Yougottabekittenme hello! That all sounds promising especially if you've not had that before. How long have you been TTC for?

I've not had any boob symptoms but aside from the stomach cramps and pains I've had the occasional mild twinge in my lower back which I never get with AF. I've also completely lost my appetite which is SO unlike me

When will you be testing?

@GoldLeafTree were are trying 4 months for our first so I have no other pregnancy’s as a point of reference! I really want to do a first response on Sunday but I might wait till AF is due on Tuesday or Wednesday, save me buying more tests if she it arrives!

I haven't noticed any symptoms today but I have been really busy so maybe not noticed. I really hope your pains are the start of something 🤞

I tested this morning (knowing full well it was FAR too early but I had ICs so couldn't resist) 🤣

When do you plan on testing? I'm not due AF until 12th but think I'll test on the 10th as I'll be 13dpo x

@Yougottabekittenme I have a load of Amazon cheapies as well as a FRER but I'm trying really hard not to test

I've had a bit of back ache this evening and constant stomach ache and cramps. I'm trying really hard not to get excited and telling myself it could just be AF but I've never had back pain with AF.

I have no idea when I'll test! My periods have always been really irregular. I had the implant and didn't have a period for 3 years then I left it in for another 2 ( even though it wouldn't work ) and my periods varied from a couple of days to 2 weeks long.

I think I'll do a test ( or three ) towards the end of next week xx

I've had a few more pains on my left side over the past couple of hours, I've just noticed I'm developing a big spot on my chin (lovely) and I've had a lot of creamy cm today, and I mean a lot.

Sometimes I am convinced that I have conceived but then I talk myself down and think I definitely haven't. I am going to be so disappointed if I don't get my BFP next week.

I have been referred to the FC and should get my first appointment through next month but I really want to fall naturally so I don't have to go through all of that 🤞🏼

My cycle isn't regular either (between 30 - 36 day) but over the last 3 months I have started spotting cd29 (which will be Sunday) so if that doesn't show then I will be SO tempted to test, even though it will still be 4 days before AF is due x

Im due af on the 10th and im having the same symptoms and this is giving me some hope! Woke last night with light stomach pains. Short sharp pains in the left side this evening. But, 1st month trying so maybe i always have these cramps but never noticed its a roller coaster

@Each2TheirOwn I'm the complete opposite. My skin has completely cleared up ( I'm usually spotty before AF ) but my CM is relatively dry...

I had the egg white consistency when I was ovulating but since then it's quite dry. I did have some come out this morning that felt like blood and I rushed to the bathroom and it's just CM.

I did a test this morning, BFN obviously and I don't know why I did it. It's way too early. I had another dream about being pregnant last night.

I feel just like I do before AF today in terms of cramps x

@AlwaysLearning123 ooh maybe it was implantation? This is my first month too and I'm second guessing all my symptoms thinking maybe I get them every month and haven't noticed!

I've had twinges, cramps and pulling sensations for about 4 days now but I really feel like AF might come today or tomorrow x

@GoldLeafTree I've seen loads of people say that they felt exactly like AF was about to show up before getting their BFP so I wouldn't worry too much about that, could be a good sign if you aren't due anytime soon 🤞

I tested again this morning too with another IC (they are too cheap and easy 🙈), obviously BFN as way too early. I have a FRER and a CBD but won't use them at this stage as it'd be a waste. Wanted to wait until I seen a hint of something on an IC x

@Each2TheirOwn That's good to know, thank you for reassuring me! Feeling rotten today, really exhausted and nauseous.

I've got one FRER which I'm holding out for until (if) I get a positive on the IC.

I'm off work this week so I'm just sat at home symptom spotting like crazy, looking at pregnancy announcement videos on youtube and overthinking things

@GoldLeafTree haha, I'm exactly the same! Not off work unfortunately but spending my evenings glued to MN Conception board, googling dpo symptoms and watching pregnancy related videos on YouTube 🙈 I also spent hours scrolling through fun ways to announce pregnancy to family (I'm getting way ahead of myself)!

Nausea and exhausting and 2 main symptoms 😁 I've had cramps, twinges, constipation and gas (sorry, TMI), stomach ache (prob caused by the aforementioned) heartburn and a big spot. However I haven't had sore boobs/nipples, nausea, fatigue or any of the other common symptoms that those lucky ladies who get their BFP report as having.

I'm getting really ahead of myself too don't worry!

I've had no boob symptoms whatsoever either. Maybe that will be in a few days time. I've been watching videos on YouTube of people's symptoms in the TWW and some had no boob pain or no cramps so I think it's different for everyone. I can't help but compare though

I've had cramps all day today, they seem to be worse in the evening and at night. I've had constipation too! I never thought I'd be discussing this online with someone haha

Hello! Of course you can I think DP is sick of me constantly telling him I'm cramping or counting how many wees I've had and symptom spotting all the time haha

I'm cramping lots this afternoon and I'm not sure if it's normal to be cramping this much. It's like period pains but they last about an hour each

I really hope this month is the month for you x

@GoldLeafTree Hey, how are you feeling now? Still crampy?

I've just woken up from a 2hr nap 🙈 I'm not usually one to sleep during the day but yesterday and today I've felt shattered! I also noticed a little bit of 'spotting' this morning after going to the loo. It was just a very light brown tinged streak on the toilet paper when I wiped 😔 I'm CD28 today (10DPO) so thought it might be AF showing up. I put a liner on to see how heavy it was going to get but I've just checked and there is only a tiny streak on it and nothing when I wiped 🤔

I'm trying to stay possible and think maybe it's implantation but I'm not holding my breath. Will be on constant knicker watch now!

Are you finding things to do in your time off to take your mind off the wait? (apart from watching every pregnancy related video on YouTube) 😂 x
