TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hewie30 · 20/08/2019 13:30

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@AmiK2019 you could still be pregnant as some women don't get a positive until a week or 2 late for AF, depends on when you implanted and your hcg levels.
I would wait a week and just take folic acid as really you should be doing this when TTC anyway Smilegood luck!

AmiK2019 · 06/09/2019 11:26

Yes that’s true. Heading out to purchase folic acid this morning as should have started on this a while ago. Feeling nauseous this morning and craving sugar for the past week. Hopefully all positive signs, thank you @Makeafamily19

AmiK2019 · 06/09/2019 16:21

Unsure why this is happening as I had early implantation bleeding but AF has now started!! I’m so so upset and can’t understand why I had spotting mid cycle which never happens. Must be AF as it’s normal flow?

Nicecupofcoco · 06/09/2019 17:42

@Amik2019 I'm so sorry to here that. It's sods law our bodies go all haywire when trying to concieve. I had some spotting around ovulation this month too and that never happens! Positive thoughts going forwards. I'm crossing fingers for next cycle for you. XxFlowers

claireb707 · 06/09/2019 23:30

Well had a lovely evening with the boy but it ended as predicted with period arriving 😂
But 10 days to go and we can start trying again 🤞

Makeafamily19 · 06/09/2019 23:35

@AmiK2019 sorry to hear about AF arriving. We all have weird cycles sometimes and I think we focus so much on them when TTC it makes it worse. It might not have been implantation bleeding, you can sometimes just get a bit of spotting in between periods and DTD can cause this too (especially if you are having more than normal). Or it could have been a very early chemical.
Fingers crossed for next cycle Smile

Got our BFP today ladies 👏🏼💞💞 won't let me post a pic as I've already posted in a couple other threads 😆

Makeafamily19 · 07/09/2019 13:10

@flossy12 congratulations! Seen your tests on some of the other threads, really good lines! Very exciting 🎉

LindsayTTC · 07/09/2019 14:04

Hi all! I hope you don't mind me joining this conversation.

After nearly a year of waiting for my DH to be ready to try, we started trying last month on what I thought was my ovulation day (cycle was usually 30 days). My AF arrived early, which has shaken my confidence in my previous ovulation tracking apps. I now have 4 apps (🤦‍♀️) which are all predicting different fertile windows. I'm also using OPK tests but I cannot test consistently at the same time of day so I'm worried I'll miss it. Does anyone have any advice on apps?

I'm also tempted to buy the Ava bracelet but it's a lot of money that I'd rather put aside in my savings for if/when I go on maternity leave. Does anyone else have it?

As for now, I'm on CD11 and every OPK has been negative thus far.

Sorry for the long post- baby dust to you all! ✨

LindsayTTC · 07/09/2019 14:05

Also congratulations @flossy12!!! So exciting!

flossy12 · 07/09/2019 14:21

Hewie30 · 09/09/2019 18:07

@flossy12 Sorry I've been MIA I'm in Italy for a wedding so haven't been able to check in. How you feeling ❤️, you get any symptoms leading up to your positive? Xx

flossy12 · 09/09/2019 19:45

@Hewie30 oh my gosh! How is it!? I've been to Rome and it's was beautiful 💞

I'm just in shock 😂 still don't believe that there's a little poppy seed sized baba in my tummy 😍 I had a few but they didn't last very long 🤷🏼‍♀️

Constipation
Creamy CM all the way up to my positive (still get slight EWCM now) when normally dries up before AF
Back ache
TIRED

Hewie30 · 10/09/2019 07:51

@flossy12 Ah it's amazing! It's so beautiful 😍. We had a wedding here on Saturday in Tuscany and yesterday we went around Pisa and drive to the coast for a look around. We come home today so gutted but really enjoyed it. Awwwh I bet! ♥️, I'm literally over the moon for you. How mad is it to think that 🤣, your growing a little human!

Quite a few people who have got their positives haven't had any symptoms or barely any! So it's mainly been backache and tiredness ☺️. Wish you the best 9 months and hope it's a lovely easy pregnancy for you! Xx

@Hewie30 that sounds amazing!! 😍😍

Thank you so much! It is crazy 😆 probably won't believe it properly until the first scan 😱 sending all my baby dust to you and everyone else in the group 💞💞

Lifesforlivingandloving · 10/09/2019 17:04

I had an early scan today as my doctor referred me to the EPU as I've had some light spotting and dull aches in my groin since Friday .
We got to see the little baby's heart beating today it was so amazing x indescribable ❤️
Such a relief as I was thinking all sorts and so was so worried
I thought I was 6+4 but they think more like 5+2 but I know that could change again when I have the 12 week scan 😊 x

Raizelrea · 10/09/2019 17:51

@Hewie30 Your Italian getaway sounds absolutely epic! Sounds like you've managed to see loads in the short time! How was the wedding?

@Lifesforlivingandloving Aww how lovely, that must be reassuring! Hopefully you can be a bit more relaxed now and enjoy it all ☺️

@flossy12 Just goes to show that symptom spotting is pointless since it's so different for everyone and may not even get many! Have you told family yet? ☺️

Hewie30 · 10/09/2019 20:20

@flossy12 Yeah it's been an amazing weekend!

Bless you hun I bet 🤣🤣. That's when it'll feel real! How did you tell other half? Thanks hun ♥️🤞, I'm 4dpo so far xx

@lifesforlivingandloving Awh I'm glad everything's okay hun! Bet that was a shock being told your further along then you thought 🤣🤣. How's your symptoms been? Xx

@raizelea It really was hun! Yeah we did! We originally were meant to come back Monday but BA cancelled our flight with all those strikes so we stayed until today so gave us some time to go a few places. Pisa was surprisingly small so we got that done fairly quickly! How you been? Xx

OP posts:
Lifesforlivingandloving · 10/09/2019 20:24

@Hewie30
No I'm less than I thought not further along lol
I'm not taking it as gospel yet as I know it can change a few times along the way 😊

Symptoms wise I've had nausea but not actually been sick yet, heartburn . Tiredness didn't strike until Sunday and now at times I can't stay awake! Lol
Then I had the cramps which the midwife scanning me said was likely be due to ligaments stretching etc

How are you ? X

flossy12 · 10/09/2019 20:57

@Hewie30 well 😅 he wanted to be there when I tested so I POAS and left it face down while we went to get little DSC we wanted to film our reaction incase it was positive and we all went into the bathroom to brush our teeth and little DSS ran over like 'what's this' and waved it in the air and me and OH we're just there like 😯😯😯😯😳😳😍😍

Be funny to tell him when he's older 😅😂

Gigi318 · 10/09/2019 21:11

Hello everyone!

I hope you don't mind me joining in - caught up on all of your posts and would love to be along for the ride!

I'm 30.
TTC #1 and first 'official' month trying
I'm around 7dpo (I think - potentially 3/4). So far, I've been tracking based on my body/cycle alone. I feel very in-tune with my body - if that makes sense HmmBut just downloaded Flo and we definitely DTD on CD11&14 (OH was away 12&13).
So now, we wait and see!

I'm trying not to read too much into anything but I've felt nauseous yesterday and today, and pinching/cramping pains both days too!

Huge congrats to @Lifesforlivingandloving and @flossy12! X
