TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@Gigi318 Yeah exactly hun! Hopefully it'll stay away and the line will stay but we'll see how the day goes on. I'm feeling ok but gutted, just trying to remain positive 🤞🤞. How are you feeling today?

@clareb707 Thanks hun, I'm trying to remain positive and your completly right a line is definitely a line. That's why I started to get excited seeing them but seeing blood this morning has made me worried that a second chemical is on its mean way!

@claireb707 Definitely sounds like the hormones are having a party in your body! You can't think like that about the ages, truth is nothing is ever guaranteed no matter what age you are, so just take it day by day. My grandparents from my dad's side both died really young, my grandparents from my mum's side are in their nineties. You just never know. Hope you feel better soon and that the well-deserved holiday will bring your spirits up!

@Hewie30 Sorry to hear that lovely! Are all the tests you've been taking the same brand? And have you been testing at the same time of day? Fingers crossed the urine is just diluted and you're just having a bit of spotting!

@flossy12 no far from it and hoping things stay that way 🤞🏻 it's so so light. So 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 that's good. Hope that eating helps you to keep the nausea at bay!

@Hewie30 exactly! It's frustrating but it's one of those things where only time will tell. And that's very much how I'm feeling today too. It's a waiting game. That's the spirit, let's both stay as positive as we can 🙌🏻 I'm feeling a bit rough to be honest, think it's just the messed up sleep. A bit achey, and sicky, and exhausted - sort of fluey. Wonderful 🙄 haha! But boobs are still full and a bit of light cramping or heaviness. Hoping it'll go soon as I'd quite like to go out for Sunday lunch! How are you feeling aside from the worries? 🤞🏻💫

@Raizelea Three tests have been the one step strips and the other test was a doctor's one at work. I'm hoping so hun 🤞, trying to remain positive but we'll see but this evening/tomorrow. If it is another chemical I think I'll have a break from ttc.

@Gigi318 Oh really hun? You think the lack of sleep or broken sleep has got you feeling like this? Although those symptoms are classic or early pregnancy too so could be that 😁. How's the spotting for you? Has it stopped? I feel okay other then the worries, my nipples are still sore and one boob looks bigger then the other 😂

@Hewie30 perhaps not? But I've had three awful night's sleep in a row and today I just feel fuzzy headed, sicky, and exhausted. So I think I'm blaming the sleep, so as not to look into it too much 🙈 a little more spotting when I just looked then. But still brown and watery. So this makes it over 48 hours now and into day 3. No cramping at the moment. But it comes and goes, it's so light I'm more just aware of it rather than feeling in pain if that makes sense? That's good. Sore nipples is a good thing. Mine look so gross. It's the nipples that still have me convinced tbh. But we shall see 🤞🏻💫

@Hewie30 oh no! Hope your OK? I know exactly how you feel, but just give it a day or two and test again if your still unsure. It could just be urine was too diluted perhaps. I drive myself mad though comparing lines. I know how you feel about taking a break though, I feel if I lose this one I might do the same. 😔 But then I think perhaps I don't have time to waste, I'm in my thirties, but we have early menopause in family, my mum, auntie, grandma, and grandma's mum all went through menopause early to mid thirties, so I'm terrified it'll happen to me very soon.
But let's try and remain positive hey.

@Nicecupofcoco sorry to hear that early menopause runs in your family. For both you and Hewie (not that you'll need to, fingers crossed you're both good - keeping the positivity up 💫) it could be that you 'give up' TTC from a planning angle, but just relax and enjoy DTD at what could be the right time and just see what happens. Less pressure perhaps? I think that will always be my approach to it if I'm not this month. I'm so dubious about tracking too much!

@nicecupofcoco Yeah it's completely gutting hun, I haven't properly started so hoping it won't arrive 🤞. If it doesn't by tomorrow I'll be a little more positive. Awh hun I completely get where your coming from, try be positive too ♥️, it's hard once you've had a chemical you've had your hopes build up then dashed but this is it for you, I know it 😊

@Hewie30 that's fantastic news. Hoping it stays that way for you chick and fingers crossed those tests arrive for you tomorrow!!!! Still just spotting. I'm doing my best to leave a while between checking 1-2 hours at least and there's only ever a small amount (2cm long, leas than 5mm wide) so let's hope!

We DTD last night and this morning, don't think we'll do tonight as I seem to have cystitis (yet again, joy) so it will have to do. Not super optimistic about his cycle with the cystitis showing up and because my peak came right after we got back from a night out, so I doubt the sperm would have been the best either, and my CM this cycle hasn't been the best quality either. Oh well. I guess we shall see.

@Raizelrea it's very light. I think I saw a bit the last time a checked but it was very faint 🤣 so hopefully that's it gone 👋🏻
Who knows, that could have been just what you needed to make a baby woohoo! Oh no!!! Cystitis sucks!! And CM can change sometimes, can't it. Or maybe you missed it? Unless you were checking a lot hehehe! Still 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 so are you saying 1dpo now?

@Gigi318 That sounds promising! Hopefully it will go away completely! Do you normally spot before AF?

I think I ovulated today (Most likely had peak in my sleep) so will start TWW tomorrow. My CM was much "nicer" (lol as if you can say that) last month when I was taking the evening primrose oil, unsure if I want to give that another go next month though since I'd like to see two cycles largely unaffected by any supplements to test out my alternating cycles theory - I think the evening primrose oil may have made me ovulate earlier than I would have last month.

@Raizelrea I'm hoping so 🤞🏻 I have done previously but it's usually like blood spotting if that makes sense? This seems more like a CM consistency with brownish tinge. It's quite watery? Sorry if TMI 🙈 but that could also be me looking into it too much 🙊🙄🤷‍♀️ we shall see on Tuesday 💫
Exciting so officially 1dpo tomorrow - excited to symptom spot with you and keep you away from a POAS addiction 🙊👌🏻 yes I know what you mean. I really don't like the idea of taking anything that messes up the cycle! It just doesn't seem like it can be healthy but I am far from an expert 😂🙈 it's also good to just see what your body is like au natural, you know? Eeek all exciting stuff!!!

@Gigi318 Yep I know what you mean, I normally get brown spotting before a period as well, but it's definitely not CM like or watery so it sounds like a good sign!

I do want to try the evening primrose again at some point as it made me feel pretty happy and energised (also did wonders for the libido), but before I do I want to see if my next cycle will be shorter again even without the evening primrose - I'm convinced my cycle lenght alternates between 29 day cycle and a 32 day one depending on which ovary I ovulate from, but want to verify with my cycle unaffected by anything to be sure.

@Raizelrea thank you 🤞🏻 not much longer to wait now! Hahaha that's amazing, it sounds like a good supplement! But yes I think it's good to know if that's how your body is operating 👌🏻 who knows, this could be your month 🙌🏻💫

@Hewie30 Glad to hear there's no AF for you either 🤞Are you retesting to keep an eye on the progression line or just waiting and seeing? So frustrating you can't just properly celebrate. Have everything crossed for you!
