TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@Hewie30 Yep definitely see a squinter there, hope it will get darker for you! 🤞I'm good thanks, happy it's the weekend though mildly annoyed as I'm on day 4 of flashing smileys. I did a cheapie too and the line is pretty faint so god knows when I'll ovulate. Unless of course this is an unovulatory cycle 😒

@Gigi318 Hope that means something! I suppose you'll be wiser soon ☺️ I'm sure I've had all types of CM over time so I refuse to pay too much attention to mine at this point - though of course I do notice of it's particularly watery which so far has not happened this cycle.

@Katie1109 Chinese is my FAVE salt and pepper everything 😂😂 so sorry to hear you think it's AF rearing her ugly head I really had my fingers crossed for you, suppose if you have some OV test strips and do them once the bleeding stops for a few fats you will know if it's actually been AF?

@Hewie30 feel like I might be able to see a faint line there!! Got all my fingers crossed can't believe you have to wait until Monday 😬😬

I'm just being nosey ladies and wondering how old you all are? So sorry I know it's very rude to ask but everything differs the older you get doesn't it, I'm 24 and this is my first BFP ever!

@flossy12 I'm 31, turning 32 in a couple weeks. I'm sure it would have been better to try to have a child earlier, but honestly I didn't feel ready to even contemplate it till last summer! Then bam one day I did a complete U-turn and suddenly became very broody, caught OH by surprise so it's taken him a good while to get on board with the idea but eventually we agreed we'd start trying after our wedding (which was in June) - and here we are!

Okay ladies, I know I said I wouldn't worry so much but (sorry tmi) I've been feeling really wet, checked and lots of watery dark brown CM now (less creamy and much darker). Hoping not AF as it would be 2-3 days early. I do sometimes have spotting before AF but it's not as watery as this! Argh! I just need to stay calm and remember that I'm testing tomorrow - sorry to rant, it just freaked me out a bit! Still definitely not usual for me!

@Raizelrea thanks chick, that's made me feel a bit better. I'll try to just ignore it a bit if I can! I was the same as you. Was NOT ready in my twenties, always wanted kids in my thirties, turned 30 and BAM. Also taken OH a little while (and me to be honest too haha).

@flossy12 eeek thanks chick! I've felt really positive and then this bleed or whatever it is just knocked me, even OH could see I was a bit off! But I'm sure it's IB. That can last 1-3 days, so we shall see. I'm 30 but I swear I don't feel it 🤣🙈 yep, never had a BFP before either!

@Hewie30 how exciting! I see a little line! I'm keeping fingers crossed it'll get darker, give it time, and try not to worry. Easier said than done I know! Fingers crossed for you lovely! So hard when you've had a chemical, I'm still thinking this one will go the same way. It's hard to be positive after a loss isn't it.
@Gigi318 ahh hoping that's a little ib not af! Try not to worry, and hopefully tomorrow you will know for certain. Hoping it'll be a bfp for you honey! Just try and chill tonight and tomorrow will soon be here. Xx

@Nicecupofcoco thank you chick! Yes - how many dpo were you when you got your BFP. I'll be 14dpo tomorrow so hope it's good enough for CB to pick up 🤞🏻 I'm sure it will! I am going to run a bath know and relax I think. I feel so drained of energy today! How are you feeling?

@Gigi318 stay positive hun as what will be will be and you can't change it, it could well be IB. I'm gonna be on here as soon as I wake up to see if you have tested 🤪 when is AF due again?

@flossy12 I turned 31 last month but I feel like I've been waiting so long to TTC as I've been ready for kids since as long as I can remember playing with dolls 😂but didn't meet my DH till I was 25 and then we wanted a house and wedding first. I feel like I've been waiting so long already I just want it to happen now!

@Raizelea Im so glad you ladies see it too! Oh really? Are you using the clearblue digis for it to flash? Sorry I'm not too familiar with them but completely understand your frustration with trying to figure out when your ovulating! Id say while it's flashing (If it means peak) then to dtd as much as you can or every other day to cover yourself.

@flossy12 Ahh I'm glad you see it too 😁, fingers crossed it gets darker 🤞🤞. I'm 30 and 31 in October, you got your countdown on until your scan 😍. How far along are you now?

@gigi318 Awh Hun try and not think too into it for now, it could definitely still be implantation bleeding, especially since AF isn't due for a few days 😉🤞. It can happen a few days before your due and alot of women mistake it for AF. Your still in this and only one sleep to go!

@Nicecupofcoco Thanks hun ❤️, so glad you all see it that definatly gives me hope but your completely right it's so hard to worry that it's going to happen again. Hopefully it won't do and it'll be my month and get darker 🤞🤞. How far along are you now? 😊

@Gigi318 relaxing bath sounds just what you need.
I had faint from 9dpo but there was no denying it at 12dpo so I'd say by 14dpo you should get very accurate answer. I'm really hoping it's bfp for you.
Either way though we'll be here to support you!

Yes feeling OK thanks, still no symptoms, and still testing daily! 🙊Dh thinks I'm mad.... I probably am, but it makes me feel better while it's still early days!

@Hewie30 I'm 4 weeks plus one day today. Very early days still. Its a hell of a long journey isn't it! Such a long way to go!
Absolutely understandable your so worried, but I tried and still am trying, to look at it differently, so I'm trying to tell myself what will be will be, and the fact that we've fallen pregnant so soon after chemical is a good sign that hopefully fertility wise all is Ok. I'm hoping this one sticks but worrying won't change the outcome so I'm just trying to enjoy it for now.

@Nicecupofcoco fantastic, I did think it was 12dpo so that makes me feel confident. It's why I've waited so long, just to be sure. It doesn't feel real that it's tomorrow though, I thought it dragged but now I'm like where has that time gone 😳

Yes, first proper cycle. Although I do feel like I should add that I've not been on contraception for 4-5 years, know my cycle like the back of my hand, and can always tell when I'm fertile due to EWs and sex drive 😂🙈 used to use that time to bat OH away - oh how things have changed!
I don't blame you. I think I'd be inclined to retest a few times, just to know that my poppy seed is still there 🤞🏻💫

@Makeafamily19 I'm feeling chipper again. My god doesn't this make your emotions go up and down 😂🙈 so excited now 🤞🏻💫 AF is due Sunday-Monday. And OMG I love Chinese 😍

I never had ib with ds so can't help you with that unfortunately, but it really sounds promising for you! 💕

@Gigi318 yeah our bodies are amazing! You've done very well waiting until the weekend to test, you have more will power than me! 😂
I'd like to book an early scan between 8-9 weeks I think. I want to go earlier than twelve weeks but also want to wait as near to twelve weeks as possible. 😂 Does that even make sense! 😂 Basically I want early reassurance that all is ok, but then I don't want to wait too long afterwards until twelve week scan.
With ds I had bleeding and had to have early scan at almost seven weeks, I felt reassured but still felt it was early days and something might go wrong before twelve week scan luckily it didn't!
@flossy12 ahh not long at all now. Can't wait for your scan. I found each of my scans so lovely last time, but so nerve wracking leading up to them! I'm such a worrier! 😂 Xx

Ive literally been reading all these messages and although i can't really join in as I'm still waiting for my FW and only came off the pill last month i just want to say I'm really rooting for all you ladies who are testing tomorrow, I'm working tomorrow but as soon as i can i will be checking in to see everyones results!

@Nicecupofcoco I think it's because I'm just scared deep down. And if I have a better chance waiting, then I am happy to wait 🤣 still hoping tomorrow is not too early 🙈

Gutted that my AF has arrived a bit early 🙁 but onwards to the next cycle. Maybe a holiday can throw the cycle out? Is that even a thing?

@Gigi318 It's weird how out of the blue it comes, isn't it? I used to think that people that claimed there's a biological clock are crazy, but there's definitely some truth to it! That being said I do think a bit part of it is circumstantial, so I feel it depends more on where you are in your life situation-wise rather than your age. We got engaged and then bought a house, which is a real family home and near the beach, so suddenly all I could think about was raising a family in this new home and taking little people to the beach 😊

@Hewie30 Thank you 😊 Flashing smiley just means high fertility (it's detected by estrogen levels), then it will eventually become static when the LH kicks in, which will be peak. so no peak yet. I think most women supposedly have 0-4 days of high fertility (flashing smiley), but some people can have the flashing smiley for 9 days - though if it was 9 days I'd ovulate on CD 21 or 22 which seems quite late, but who knows!

@Raizelrea oh that's so lovely, and yes like you've done the two things you wanted and now you'd like to bring a baby into that 🥰 for us, I feel the same as when we were 25 🤣 but something just clicked. Makes me wonder why we didn't just go for it then hehe. But, I know that the little poppy seed we are meant to have is for now, and wouldn't have been back then 💖💫

@croissantmonster thank you so much, chick - and yes, that's the spirit! I think so many things can prolong the cycle and push back ovulation, definitely stress or changes to your lifestyle. When I've been through tough times before I'd extended my cycle by 6 days! Crazy. Thank you again chick 🤞🏻💫

@Gigi318 hopefully it's that, not the silly worries my mind has been on today. But the main thing is, period = cycle = possible to try again this month! I keep imagining my uterus having a little clean out ready for the next potential poppy seed to settle into! Probably a bit mad, but I think positive thoughts are surely more helpful.

It means your healthy, and you've got this next month to give a go and make it yours 💫 I'm sure you can tell now, but I'm a very positive person and feel as if it serves me well. It's the start of another go, and it could just be that you ovulated earlier last month, which may be why you missed it. So definitely be on the lookout for that lovely! Thank you so much 🤞🏻💫
