Hi,
I'm on cycle 5 of TTC with first child. I used clear blue advanced ovulation test for the first time last month and have purchased another one to use this month also. I'm on day 7 of this cycle and am planning on starting ovulation testing on day 12 as I ovulated on day 17 last month. I have a pretty regular 27 day cycle (no longer than 29 days).
I know it's still early days but I feel like it's never going to happen. I can't imagine actually getting a positive result. Is anyone else in a similar position and want to be on this journey with me?
Thanks x

@katie1109 @littlelisa34 How you both getting on? 😍 Xx

Ginfizz90 · 28/08/2019 20:39

Hey everyone!! 😊

Thanks for the tag!

I'm doing well, I will be 7 weeks on Friday, I must admit the weeks are going so slow and keeping it quiet from family and friends is really hard but obviously wouldn't change it for the world. Morning sickness has started in the last few days but nothing I can't handle at the moment.

Trying to keep positive and healthy until the 12 weeks is up and then hopefully I will relax a bit more!

How are you all? Xxx

tryingforbabyone · 28/08/2019 21:46

@Ginfizz90 oh fantastic so lovely to hear some good news and that things are going well. I bet it is so hard keeping it quiet! I hope the morning sickness doesn't get any worse and everything continues well!

Katie1109 · 29/08/2019 08:21

Hi @Hewie30! I had a positive clearblue digital on Monday, so as far as I'm concerned it's still there. I've book my first appointment for next week so we'll see. How are you all getting on?

Hewie30 · 29/08/2019 09:23

@Katie1109 Awh yaaay I'm so glad to hear this 😍. Has the bleeding stopped now too? Let me know how you get on next week 😁. You had anymore symptoms? I'm doing okay! My opks came but I've got a feeling I've missed ovulation and ovulated early but I'm doing to keep doing them just incase the apps are right and it's next week xxx

Katie1109 · 29/08/2019 09:42

@Hewie30 yes bleeding stopped, just have very minor brown discharge spotting from time to time ( I know tmi). No symptoms at all, no sore boobs, although I think my areolas are a bit darker, no nausea, occasional twinge here and there. I just feel tired, but other than that, I wouldn't know I'm actually pregnant. Still trying not to be overly excited until it's actually confirmed by a scan, just because I feel too good with no symptoms x Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Hewie30 · 29/08/2019 11:26

@Katie1109 Haha that's okay! That's great that you don't have any of the symptoms yet, it really takes it out of some ladies so make the most of feeling normal while you can 😛🤣. I'm so glad it turned out okay for you ♥️. Thanks hun, fingers crossed 🤞 xx

Katie1109 · 30/08/2019 06:55

Hi @Hewie30 I had a cheap test at home and used it. It came back negative. Is it possible my digital test on Sunday was false positive because I still had remaining hcg after my pains and bleed last Wednesday/Thursday which as it looks could have been a miscarriage? I’m so puste :( Surely even cheap test would show positive 2 weeks after my period was due.

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 08:28

@Katie1109 That's strange! I would have thought you would start bleeding and have a proper period if you'd had a miscarriage. It could be that the cheap one is giving you a false negative as the digis you tend to need higher HCG. Go and buy another Digi and try again with that 😘 xx

Katie1109 · 30/08/2019 08:46

@Hewie30 I don’t know what’s going on anymore :( I feel so confused and down at the moment. Don’t know what to think any longer! I just want to know either way, so I can get either excited or try to move forward :(

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 09:39

@katie1109 That's understandable hun, you've had a tough time since getting the positive! Buy a clearblue then do it either this evening after holding urine in as long as possible and limiting your drink or do it tomorrow with FMU. Hope everythings okay ♥️ xxx

BabyWant · 30/08/2019 10:04

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, just reading up on this thread and it's so nice to hear that some of you are getting the bfp. But so familiar on the ones who's trying every month and getting negative. I wish I was the one that got the positive and it's so hard getting negative thinking maybe you can't have babies. Wish you all healthy pregnancy and the ones like myself a bfp soon💔💓

tryingforbabyone · 30/08/2019 12:00

@BabyWant I know exactly how you feel! What cycle are you?

BabyWant · 30/08/2019 12:11

@tryingforbabyone irregular cycle but have period every month for eg, start of my last period until day before my next: 40,33,29,26,28,32,35,40,35,31,28,32

littlelisa34 · 30/08/2019 12:51

Hi ladies sorry haven't kept updated not been a great week have been having some horrendous cramping and backache that kept me awake for two nights straight so wasn't feeling that hopeful so wanted to see how things go on. Took quite a few more tests all came pack with a really strong positive so hopefully touch wood everything is fine because other than the cramps don't feel much of anything at all now even cramps are only every now and then and only mild which I thought I would start to feel something by now seen as though I'm over 5 weeks according to my last AF.. the midwife appointment can't come quick enough for me. Hope your all doing well and @Hewie30 and @tryingforbabyone are into your next cycles.. good luck you both get your BFP this month 😁😁🤞🤞

tryingforbabyone · 30/08/2019 13:07

@littlelisa34 oh no sorry to hear you've felt like that! But glad your still getting your BFP! Yes on the next cycle now. On day 12 now waiting for ovulation day!

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 13:22

@littlelisa34 Awh I'm sorry you've felt like that hun, when's your midwife appt again? It's soon isn't it? Yeah I'm on CD 12 today I'm using my opks and looks like I might ovulate earlier then my appts suggested but well see 🙂. Thanks hun 🤞🤞🤞🤞 xx

Katie1109 · 30/08/2019 13:28

Hi @Hewie30. Well I did clear blue but not digital and I think I can see faint line but may be wishful thinking. Phoned EPU they told me that my pain and bleed last week was likely a mc, but asked me to test on Monday morning and if positive then get GP to referr me to EPU. Well I’ve lost all my hope, don’t even know what my cycle is meant to be now and do not want to go opk and temp route just yet because I find it too stressful. So here’s to having a drink tonight and moving on. But I’m not in a happy state at the moment.

littlelisa34 · 30/08/2019 13:30

@tryingforbabyone @Hewie30 good I'm glad your both into your next cycle closer to that BFP..

I don't go to the midwife until 23rd of September so over three weeks away just wish I had something that gave me some signs that everything is progressing well.. was thinking about booking an early scan but I've read so many stories don't think I'm going to and I'm just going to wait until my midwife appointment and find out what my levels are..
@Hewie30 that's why opks are good to have because it gives you a definitive few days to DTD which strengthens your chances..

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 17:52

@Katie1109 Awh hun I'm so sorry 😔, hopefully you'll get a stronger line on Monday when you retest and today's one was a blip or your urine was too hydrated. Try remain positive, I'm sorry your going through this it must be heartbreaking. If it is a MC take your time and grieve, the upside is you know you can get pregnant ♥️ xx

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 17:55

@Littlelisa34 Ahh that's so fustrating it's so far away! Must feel like it's really dragging for you 🤪. What have you been hearing about early scans? I've read alot of nice things about them and how ladies have found them reassuring. Definatly worth thinking about having if your concerned hun!
Yeah exactly hun, I'm finding putting them on the app a bit confusing and depending on light the number ranges so I'm going to do it but also use my common sense when I see that the line is as dark as the control line 🤞☺️ xxx

littlelisa34 · 31/08/2019 07:29

@Hewie30 yeah I have read a lot of good things about them but if I'm not as far on as i have worked out then there won't be much to see yet so I will come away more anxious so I'm going to wait until after the midwife appointment and then get one for around 9 weeks and hopefully there will be more to see and everything will be fine.. I'm thinking if something has gone wrong because I don't feel pregnant at all I would of started bleeding/Spotting by now?
Yeah I struggled with the ovulation test strips always trying to define the differences that's why I moved onto clearblue they just show up as high low or peak in a face form which was easier plus can put them into the apps x

tryingforbabyone · 31/08/2019 08:15

I don't suppose anyone knows if it's normal to ovulate on different days every cycle? The first cycle I ovulated on day 17 then the next was day 14 and now I'm on day 13 and it's still showing up as low which I would have expected to at least be high today ready for peak on day 14?

littlelisa34 · 31/08/2019 09:23

@tryingforbabyone I think it's normal for it to vary a couple of days here and there per cycle I went from low straight to peak in my last two cycles completely missed high days.. I wouldn't worry too much

Hewie30 · 31/08/2019 10:08

@Littlelisa34 Oh really? Yeah it's definitely worth waiting until you'd be able to see something, try and not worry it's probably perfectly normal to have have any symptoms yet, how far along are you? My friend didnt get sickness etc until she was 6-8 weeks.
Yeah their really awkward aren't they. I'm just going by colour this month and if I'm still finding it difficult next month I'll probably use the clearblue ones xx
