TTC first baby

Hi,
I'm on cycle 5 of TTC with first child. I used clear blue advanced ovulation test for the first time last month and have purchased another one to use this month also. I'm on day 7 of this cycle and am planning on starting ovulation testing on day 12 as I ovulated on day 17 last month. I have a pretty regular 27 day cycle (no longer than 29 days).
I know it's still early days but I feel like it's never going to happen. I can't imagine actually getting a positive result. Is anyone else in a similar position and want to be on this journey with me?

@littlelisa34 Awh was it!! That gives me hope I'm on cycle 4 and it feels like it's taking ages although like you said realistically it's not long at all. Every month just feels long when your counting down doesn't it 🤣. Haha good ol Google what we do without that with typing our symptoms in and questions 🤣. Your test says 3-4 weeks doesn't it? Does that work out when your app says you were ovulating out of curiousity? Haha! Bless you hun, the excitement was too much 😁. What did he say? X

@tryingforbabyone thank you and I know still in complete shock.. my day off today and I'm supposed to be meeting up with some friends but I've cancelled because I just don't think I can keep it to myself and I don't want anybody in my circle to know yet I think it's still really early x

@Hewie30 no my test says 2-3 weeks which does coincide with my ovulation and my apps as I have four of them.. I don't know why I just keep them all updated every month so then I know I'm not missing anything.. funnily enough this month before ovulation I usually get quite a lot of EWCM but this month I didn't barely get any which I thought was strange so maybe that had something to do with it, I don't know.. he thought I was joking at first which I would never do so I FaceTimed him and showed him the test.. he was a bit lost for words to be honest just in disbelief and how happy he was he's wanted children for years and he always left it up to me to decide when and I think he was sure it was never going to happen xx

@Hewie30 yeah I'm hoping it's a strong sticky one.... going to buy some FRER tests either today or tomorrow and do one every couple of days make sure that line gets darker xx

Sorry I know this is absolutely gross but this is all I have on my tampon after 6 hours. Normally my af starts straight away very heavy and bright red and I have to change tampons every 4 hours. I haven’t put another one in, just left a pad. Any hope this is spotting or weird af?! Any point in testing now? x

@Katie1109 because you've had it in for 6 hours it's hard to say if it was dark before or just gone that dark over time.. I would definitely try and hold my wee for at least an hour and test Hun x

@littlelisa34 That's good that in tally's in with your apps 🙂. What apps do you have? Haha I got 2 and do exactly the same don't worry 🤣. Oh really? That's strange! Is that another reason why you thought you might not of ovulated or was it mainly because you were late? Awwh bless him 😂😂, that's so sweet! Definatly not something anyone TTC would joke about but he was probably in shock like you are haha. Awh so for him it's a huge shock!
That's a good idea with the frers, their really sensative so you should get some amazing lines with them 😍 x

@katie1109 I agree with @littlelisa34 hun. Because it's been in a while it's really hard to say if it was spotting to begin with and the colour to start with too. Id try hold in your urine for a few hours then to a test. Have they arrived yet? X

No, no post yet, but they’re definitely arriving today, probably within next 1-2 hours. I think I lost my hope now anyway :(

@Hewie30 i use glow, Ovia, clue and flo.. I never really thought about not ovulation because I used clearblue opks and got a solid smiley but because I'm 4/5 days late for my AF I thought maybe that was a chance never thought it was because I was pregnant.. it was definitely a shock I try not to tell him about any symptoms or anything really because I never wanted to get his hopes up but I told him last night that I didn't think I was and I was sure AF would be here this morning.. so definitely in shock. Yeah I'm going to use the other clear blue next weeks and hopefully the weeks indicator will of gone up 😁 do you use opks? Or temp? I never could get a handle on temping ☹️xx

@Katie1109 try and hold going to the loo until they arrive hun and stay positive you just never know x

@littlelisa34 Oh really? So when you get the smiley face you dtd that day and the next day, is that right? God yeah I can see why you were surprised today! 😂. I'm the same I don't tell my other half about symptoms either, I told him about my chemical the other month because I'd obviously shown him my faint lines 😔. I'm only using Ovia an Flo apps at the moment, like you I can't get to grips with the body temping! For these next 2 months I'm going to dtd every other day and see if I catch, if not on cycle 6 I'll use the clearblue opks I think 🤔 xx

Right, tests just arrived. Should I test or not? Since taking tampon out not a single drop or sign of any blood or discharge on my pad and it’s been nearly 2 hours now. I’m scared to test and get bfn because I feel like I’m just going to breakdown :(

@Hewie30 no I got one day of flashing smiley so dtd them and then two days of solidly smiley so them two days also and then the day after that.. how far on were you when you had your chemical? I think the longer you can hold out without opks and temping and all that the less stress you add to an already highly stressful time xx

@Katie1109 if there's been no rush of bloody or anything I would definitely test.. I know it's hard but least you will know one way or another Hun x

@Littlelisa38 Ah okay! That's alot of baby dancing isn't it 😂. But so amazing it's worked for you ❤️. Erm it was my second cycle and I worked out I was 2 weeks so 4 weeks if you date back to your period. Your already further along 😘. This is very true, that's why I want to leave it at least 6months of trying before thinking of using it. September will be month 4. My only concern at the moment is the pregnacare possibly prolonging my cycle and me completely missing ovulation. So I'm going to dtd every 3rd day then week before and fertile week do it every other day x

@Katie1109 Id still test hun, especially if your not bleeding now. Wait a few hours and then do one 🙂. Try remain positive it can definitely still be a BFP and you just had a bit of a bleed x

@Hewie30 I'm really sorry about your chemical I can't imagine going through anything like that.. well you know my opinion on pregnacare but I would wait and see how this cycle goes into next AF and then if your still getting delayed AF maybe move onto seven seas conception I've heard lots of good stuff about them. You sound like you have a good plan for this time round and hopefully you get your BFP 😁xx

@littlelisa38 Thanks hun ❤️. It was gutting, seeing the positives and getting my hopes up then doing 3 more and seeing it get fainter then to nothing was horrible. It's taught me not to get my hopes up really, as horrible as that sounds i don't want to get excited like I did then. Yeah that's a good idea hun I'll do that! Be interesting to see if it does get shorter, I've taken the pregnacare before I come off the pill so the lengths have always been 33, 34 an 35 x

Is this a Line?!?! I’m bleeding now though, yesterday it was clear bfn today I swear I can see a line! What is going on?
