Sperm Meets Egg (hopefully)

Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

I'm actually watching Emma Willis delivering babies now and I actually can't wait to experience labour. Am I mad?!

@Makingawish oh cute! I used to watch one born every minute when I was pregnant with ds and it made me want to go into labour and experience it and I had a horrific labour, really awful and I still want to do it all again. So no you are not mad at all. It’s truly an amazing experience

@AllHopeAndNoResults I can’t quite get there with the whole instigating thing either. I just make as many comments or weird touchy feely gestures as possible, leave my opks hanging around and then end up plain sulky if he hasn’t taken my million hints (which now he is beginning to learn) 🤣.

We are a very weird species aren’t we. Men reall don’t stand a chance do they! 😂🤣

@AllHopeAndNoResults DH says when I'm going through it for real I'm not allowed to complain because I've always said how much I can't wait for it 🤦🏻‍♀️

In regards to a new thread... do you get a notification when this one is about to reach capacity? If so, you could just make the last message the name of your new thread and we all just meet over there? I think you can search for the names of threads so we should find it. You can't all disappear on me now, no chance!

Well they said you can ovulate straight away after the abortion. Since my last period was ment to be the 31st of may I haven't been on since???

I’m sure you will 🤞🤞 @Makingawish I hope ours is a breeze too. Hopefully the dread will change to excitement by the time af buggers off!

So im about to actually buy the things in my amazon basket... quick question pressed or conceive plus? Any tips?

@Carley321 I've tried both and recommend preseed more. It's apparently quite a bit more effective anyway as well as being better to use.

@Faifaye I think all you can do is take a test and then go from there really but you'd be a good 8 weeks by now if you conceived at the beginning of June.

@Carley321 I know me and @Makingawish would recommend preseed but they are both the same I think.

@Makingawish you do realise anything preseed related is now our thing 😂

Defo agree with getting sulky when the hints are taken! And I’m glad you are all enjoying this thread as much as me. We’ve got a good group here.

@Faifaye have you taken any tests? Pregnancy or ovulation? I guess it’s just so tricky pin pointing after something like that

That was the first time I fell pregnant was when I had my last period but with everything that has happened I haven't had a period .. and I feel like shit and keep having hot sweats and peeing all the time but I would only be two weeks and for me that is to early I always find out when I'm six weeks for some strange reason ill take a test first thing tomorrow I'm petrified I really don't want to have to go through what I went through again 😭

Pressed it is..... expect TMI and some questions @Makingawish @AllHopeAndNoResults 🤦‍♀️🤣

@Carley321 I don’t think there’s such a thing as tmi on this subject 😂 although it’s fiddley the first time it’s actually quite easy to use

I hadn't thought about intiating dtd being an issue for some folk. I've just been matter of fact about it like "we need to DTD every other day, ok? Starting today. Let's go!". My OH is on board with the mission plan. Could you guys try being practical about it? Although I totally get that for some couples the lack of romance doesn't work. I'm pretty organised though so it works for us.

@Skyla01 yoga is supposed to be really good for your cycle so it sounds like you are really on the right path anyway!
I get what you mean, it’s weird to think we can still be shy about that with our long term partners. I can tell my DP the same as you do, we have to dtd, but I still expect him to start it 😂
At the end of the day as long as one of us is initiating that’s all we need for sperm to meet egg haha!
