Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

@allhope thank you 💜 I am following the SMEP plan , but I had a hen night last Sat, so I was away and my DH was exhausted the first day I got the positive opk, as he had worked a 12 hour shift. We did what we could 🤞I actually never ovulate this early. I started using the Ava bracelet this cycle, so the start of the cycle is missing as it arrived after AF finished.

Looks like we're in fairly similar positions! This is my chart today, AF is due and I'm 10dpo. I also started using Ava this month as well as temping but I have no idea what Ava is doing and it got my ovulation date wrong (they do say it can take 3 months to get to know you) so I'm mostly following the temps.
When is your AF due? Have you had any symptoms? I've had sore nipples and breasts generally since yesterday but could still be AF.

Looks like you guys can relate to each other’s cycles and I think we’ve all modified SMEP a bit to fit our needs so don’t worry too much sounds like you’ve done enough.

Right do I just went for my pelvic exam, swabs, smear etc and was really not uncomfortable at all but it was so funny she said my ahem inside looks fine but I had a lot of clear discharge that she had to remove 😳 she said it’s a good sign it just means that my body is functioning correctly BUT I was so embarrassed to tell her that it’s probably DPs deposit after dtd last night 😳 and she cleared it! So she took away last nights swimmers 😭😭😭😂😂😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults hahaha if it's last nights swimmers then as annoying as that'll be it's also hysterical! Maybe it was EWCM and you're about to ovulate like any time now?

We've actually managed to follow SMEP to the letter (tonight is the final good luck DTD) but I don't know if it would be as easy if I had longer cycles 🤷‍♀️

@AllHopeAndNoResults haha that's hilarious!! To be honest if they were last nights swimmers they deserve to be gone, they should be elsewhere by now not hanging about where they can be cleared away!!

@Makingawish good on you for doing the plan perfectly!!! You should celebrate with something. It's such an effort to do this you should totally get a reward

I agree you should defo celebrate for doing so well you have maximised your chances and done all you can. Give DP a pat on the back too!

@tinyole you are so right, bloody buggers hanging around outside the disco for no good reason 😂

Also I think one of you a while back said about carrying around plastic cups to pee in....I’ve found those little plastic shot glasses to be way easier, less bulky, can fit in a bag and stashed in the bathroom 😂 I don’t know if that’s helpful for anyone lol

@AllHopeAndNoResults @tinyole we've only had to DTD 6 times in 15 days to complete the plan but I know I'm fortunate to have a 'standard' length cycle. You'll understand when I'm raging if I get a BFN though 😄

Oohh a treat you say. Might treat myself to a facial this weekend as there's a spa where I'm going to stay 🤗

@Makingawish hopefully you don’t get a bfn but if you do feel free to rant and rave here. We all understand your frustration, but let’s not think about that right now keep repeating BFP over and over in your head! And go to that spa girl

@AllHopeAndNoResults If I do then at least I know I've done all I can and it just didn't happen for whatever reason. I need to be careful at the spa because you can't go in a jacuzzi or sauna in early pregnancy especially so I need to be tactile to avoid it without anyone guessing we're TTC!

Anyway, yes, positive mental attitude!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

@Makingawish there’s so many dos and donts for ttc really we shouldn’t be doing anything if we go by all these rules, but yes do be careful and try to give it a swerve.

I’m glad you feel like you do because it’s really important to keep a level head. When is af due?

Glad we have positive vibes in here this afternoon. We've all been giving it a great shot. Hope we get at least a few BFPs between us!

@AllHopeAndNoResults I'll probably end up having a glass of wine or 2 so don't want to take the piss too much! AF is due the 14th so I'm going to test with a FRER next weekend on either 10th/11th I think 🤞

@Skyla01 yeah I bet she has. I sounded like I was preparing for a date. I said ooh I didn’t know whether to shave or not 😳 she said honestly it wouldn’t have mattered. She also said she’s the same when she goes for a smear 😂 it’s awkward and intrusive though isn’t it!

@Makingawish go for it! We are all just hyper aware of the possibility of being pregnant because we are ttc some ladies don’t realise because they aren’t ttc so they carry on as normal so I understand why you are being careful but you defo deserve the wine. The 14th is my birthday so it’ll be lovely to hear that you get your BFP on that day maybe I’ll be a lucky omen 🤞😉

@tinyole I started using Ava on cd 7, so I knew it wouldn't be accurate for this cycle tbh. I ovulated twice I think 🤔 I literally got a lhsurge on cd10 and I had pain on my right side on cd11, and the opks remained positive that day as well. Then I had ovulation pain on my left side early in the morning on cd12 🤞Either or it seems Thursday cd12 was the day that fertility friend chose as my ovulation day, but Ava told me on Sunday, which was 4 days later. I literally won't be due AF for another week. I had a little bit of cramping yesterday evening, but nothing major. I have been knickers watching all day as I keep expecting spotting, seeing as my temp went so close to the cover line.

@AllHopeAndNoResults smears are daunting at the best of times, but I definitely would have been red-faced at the thought of clearing away swimmers 🤣 I guess you have a valid excuse for restocking them later 😉

@allhope it sure is hard sometimes to follow the plan when life throws curve balls, but I think every second day has to give a better chance then not getting to do it for a few days.

@Carastarchild I know tell me about it 😂 I felt like a silly teenager lol. I’m also turning into a sex fiend. DP just called and said he will be home a little later as he needs to finish up a container for shipping. I got Into a huff and said well we need to dtd tonight again and he said bloody hell all you talk about these days is sex. Oh how the tables of turned i thought! 😂😂

I think I may be ovulating! I have just had some clear stretchy Cm!! But I’m thinking maybe it’s a result of the smear?? Either way I’m dtd tonight whether he likes it or not 😂 he can be asleep for all I care! (That’s a joke I’m not into that😂)

@AllHopeAndNoResults tell your DP he needs to take the compliment and DTD, DTD, DTD! He'll be sorry when you're pregnant and don't go near him 😂

My DH is picking up pizza for tea on his way home which I hope gives us the energy to get this good luck deed in the bag and not put us into a food coma 😖

@Makingawish I know right! Bless him he does work really hard and does get tired but we can’t miss out on this one day because he wants to sleep! Weak! 😂😂
