Sperm Meets Egg (hopefully)

Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

@Skyla01 you’re right and I kind of wrote this month off anyway just because it was the first month of the plan etc and see it’s so hard not to symptom spot isn’t it lol

@Makingawish that’s funny about the itchy mood. Last month I burped a few times and I put it in my symptoms diary 😂😂😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults it's true though isn't it, we're all as obsessed as the next person. Thank god I joined this forum or I'd be sectioned for mentioning this to an outsider! I always think I've been weeing a lot more too but fail to recognise the 3litres of water I've drunk that day.

@Makingawish I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I’m thinking I need a wee, convince myself then go (but nothing’s really there) and then I’m like ‘right I’m definitely peeing more frequently’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ Totally get you about not telling anyone else 😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults @tinyole I agree! We have to laugh or we'll cry! We should be grateful that we even have the opportunity to be TTC with DH/DP (sometimes) 😉💜

I done something a bit 🤦🏻‍♀️ and paid somebody to give me a reading/prediction over Facebook to tell me when I'd conceive and whether I'd have boy or girl 😂

@Makingawish that’s not as stupid as you think it is. I added someone on fb a man named valery and he ‘tells’ you by your pic if and when you will be pregnant and what gender. I’ve never actually asked 😂

I’ve seen people have bought spells of eBay. When you’re desperate you’re desperate.

What was your outcome? Did you believe it at the time lol

@AllHopeAndNoResults well that's actually what she did but I paid for the pleasure! She gives you a 4 month window but says that can be either when you conceive or when you're due but when you think of how long you're pregnant for then it's hard to go wrong really. She also said it can be any time in the next 2 years! I think she said my window was May-August and I'd have a boy.

All these things we do for a baby but when you’ve been trying for so long that one month you do conceive when you’ve tried something new, you’re bound to put it down to that aren’t you really.

One of my friends is absolutely convinced her mum fell pregnant with her because she did a white witch spell 😂😂😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults all of the reviews were glowing but it was only a bit later when I did the math! 🙈

Is this without DTD? What was the spell?! Asking for a friend... 👀

@AllHopeAndNoResults I think the CD early May have been teasing you. My ewcm also always dries up right after OV and so does any need to dtd lol. I also get a few twinges when I get a bfp OPK.

I have very irregular cycles but I think I am finally beginning to recognise my symptoms. I also use the Ovia app to make notes so I can keep track in my cycles and the symptoms.

I’m sorry @VenusStarr I was feeling a little similar last month. The year mark was rearing and things really got to me. It’s so frustrating being in a situation we have absolutely no control over. I hope you are ok and always do what is right for you. 💗

Hi @tinyole thank you. It’s nice to have a fresh ttc outlook. I seen the board whilst searching endlessly for something I can relate to and this sounded positive so I jumped on! Have a fab time in France.

No if it was out dtd I’m sure my friends name would be Jesus 😂 I don’t know really because she was very woo and witchy. She did say that her mum has always told her not to do it because she felt like she sold her soul and had bad luck ever since 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know if I believe in all that but there was a time when I asked her loads of questions.....for a ahem friend too....lol but not sure I’m that crazy yet 😂

@Carley321 haha brilliant! I wish I was that flexible. I've actually been doing the legs on the headboard after DTD this cycle even though that's probably an old wives tale too.

@Makingawish that's epic. These people should be ashamed of themselves but we all know they're not!
Craziest thing for me is I work really close to where I live and I was stock buying my pregnancy tests and I saw one of my clients from work and had to hide and run 🙈😭

@Carley321 wait I'm still doing the yoga pose after every time we DTD, I'll pay attention to not falling loool.

You know I've never actually put my legs in the air after DTD, sounds like I'm missing a trick! I'll have to try that next cycle!

I honestly would take any old sperm right now, hope my egg isn't being picky!

@Carley321 I think I had 9 days of flashing before static! But I did start testing quite early in my long cycle.

@tinyole that's why I buy all mine online just to avoid bumping into anyone! My DH bought me one from Tesco once with a wispa and the guy was like 'is that a celebratory wispa?!' and now I wonder if he thinks I'm pregnant every time we go in. But no, just love chocolate 🤷‍♀️

@Skyla01 I don't think there's actually any evidence putting your legs in the air works but doesn't hurt to give it a go in my eyes!

These eggs are clearly just playing the field and not willing to settle. Strong independent women 💪😂

I put the whole legs in the air thing when I conceived DS hasn’t worked since 😂 also she does say in the SMEP book thing doesn’t she that it really doesn’t matter if you jump up and get back to work straight away so maybe there is no connection 🤷🏻‍♀️ But every little helps.

If the eggs are trying to be independent women they’ve made their point now 😂 we get it! I get the whole waiting for the right one but come on!! I can’t get the image of them having a little disco in there out of my head now lol. Maybe their friends are cock blocking because there can only be one prom queen and they are all like well if we can’t be then no one will. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it 😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults it's a sight for sore eyes I'll tell you that much! Honestly, we need to empower these eggs to believe that they can still be strong and independent once they're tied to a partner. We can all live in harmony. I'm going to start talking to mine.
