Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

Again sorry for how long that was!!

@Makingawish I know it’s impossible to get in the mood when it’s so hot! Luckily tonight’s our night off.

@Skyla01 that’s pretty much what you’re supposed to do so hopefully you’ve done enough this month

Hey ladies I hope you've all had a good day!

@AllHopeAndNoResults I haven't had any symptoms just looking out very hard for them 😂. I've started recording them so hopefully might see a pattern. Took my first dose of AC tonight and it looks like the 400mg dose I have is meant to be taken twice a day so works out to 800mg.
Good work on the opk test, it's negative but going in the right direction for sure! My super negative ones don't even get a second line so you're on your way.

@VenusStarr sorry to hear about your dream. Hoping this is the first wrong one for you. Either way we've just gotten started keep hope alive!

@Skyla01 last month I had a massive headache and that faint positive that I'm fairly certain was a CP. Having said that I take pregnacare conception vitamins and I've heard they can give you a massive headache too so 🤷🏾‍♀️. This month I'm trying to focus on other things and then just test when the time comes. I'm 3DPO and I have a short luteal phase so AF or BFP is due next Thursday 🤞🏾🤞🏾

@Makingawish I don’t really know when I’ll ovulate I’m hoping day 15. What about you? I do think we will be in the TWW together. Exciting!

@tinyole ooh I started my first today too, it may take up to 3 months for it to be effective. So I did the OPKs right? Waited 10 mins to develop. So you’re on 800mg? So my 1000 isn’t too far off I feel better now haha!

@tinyole all the best! Do you know when you're going to test? I'm due a week on Thursday, not going to test until at least a few days late if AF doesn't get me first! (Easy to saw no to testing this end of the TWW, will see if it lasts!)

@AllHopeAndNoResults you did it perfect! You'll notice when it's getting close to peak the line will appear immediately you won't have to wait at all!

@Skyla01 thanks!! I'll probably do a frer at 7pdo and then a regular one over the weekend if AF doesn't arrive. I wish I could say I'd wait till next weekend but I know I don't have that level of self disciple lol 😆

@AllHopeAndNoResults usually pretty spot on for CD14 but I’m going away next Friday - Sunday without DH so I really need it to be on track and SMEP be all done before then or I’ll cry 😭

@Makingawish Morning! That’s the problem isn’t it, and that’s why they say SMEP can be quite difficult to follow because you have to fit life around it. Also because we are well aware now that there is only a small fertile window we have to plan around it.
It’s sad we have to work so hard for it but others they just fall so easily.
You can tell what mood I’m in today can’t you 😂 today is a dtd day so I can’t be a mishog

I decided I’ll start chatting my temp from tomorrow and hope I’ll be in time for my spike this month. As you guys have all said at one time, it will be helpful to pinpoint ovulation.

@tinyole Morning hun, how are you getting on? What’s your thoughts, as you take AC one in the morning and one at night, do you think I should do the same? It somehow doesn’t ‘feel’ effective just one a day. What do you think?

Sorry to be pinging your notifications but I just see something I wanted to share with you guys.

As I said previous some are entering the TWW and in case (and fingers crossed) some of you get BFP and another doesn’t this month just keep pushing on because you WILL get there and it was just that persons time.

So I wanted to share this here to help and hope no one will feels down and just to remember it was their time and yours will arrive soon ❤️

@AllHopeAndNoResults morning hun! I wouldn't take two for you as your dose is already doubled so just follow through with the instructions. I read mine and it actually says shouldn't be taken by those trying to conceive as in the wrong concentration it can stop ovulation so just stick with where you are. I know what it's like though wanting to see results ASAP. I've actually decided just to take one a day, it gave me such a headache and I felt so nauseous that I don't know if I can deal with two.

@VenusStarr I hope you're feeling a bit better in terms of positivity. Nothing we can do in the TWW now, just need to relax and let our bodies do their thing. Can't believe I'm on 3dpo... feels like ages! After hard work over the past 2 weeks looking forward to relaxing a bit. Particularly with regards to DTD regime!

@tinyole yeah I think I’ll stick to my dose. Funny enough I had a headache yesterday so it may be one of our side effects 😭

@Skyla01 @AllHopeAndNoResults do either of you know when ovulation usually is once you get static smiley? Just thinking in terms of then knowing how many DPO I’d be.

@Makingawish I think once you have static smiley that = ovulation in 24 to 36hr. So I think it's best to DTD for the next 2 or 3 nights (as per smep). I use Flo app and I got my static smiley on Tuesday, it assigned Wednesday as ovulation day so Thursday was 1dpo.

It might also vary a bit depending on when you test. With cb they say use fmu. On Tuesday morning I had flashing smiley. I had ewcm all day so I tested again in the afternoon and that's when I got static. I was presume it would have been picked up Wednesday morning too, in that case I would have thought ovulation on Thursday. Anyway dtd lots once you get static just in case!

@Skyla01 Ahh got you! I guess even in them instances if we’re following the SMEP to a tee then we’d catch it just the same anyway. Flo has my ovulation as Wednesday but I definitely have a feeling it’ll come earlier now but we’ll see.

Just a quick question for you ladies. Do any of you get ovulation pains? I’ve seen this said across boards and threads but I don’t think I get them or are they so mild you wouldn’t notice unless you’re paying close attention to your cycle? Are they like very mild period cramps?

@AllHopeAndNoResults I do more often than not and yeah I’d say they’re very mild period cramps. I’m lucky enough to not really get bad period pains often, I usually feel ovulation more.

My ovulation pains tend to feel like I've done a million sit ups (I need to!) all across my pelvis rather than one side @AllHopeAndNoResults
