4 days before AF, BFN

Hey guys,

I'm new to this site so I apologies in advance if this has already been posted or if I haven't posted in the correct place. ( Any help is appreciated!)

I have a 32 day cycle, I've worked out that I must have ov'd around CD 18 (27th June).
So I'd be 11dpo and 4 days til AF.

This will be my second child and I'm experiencing all the symptoms I had with my son, but this time I have burning boobs and my cervix so high I can't reach it (I've been checking 3 times per day, same times everyday). I got symptoms really early this time, probably about 7dpo?

I figured if my symptoms were this strong then surely I'd have a BFP earlier, but all I've had is BFNs.

My chest and boobs are so veiny that they're like roadmaps and I've been getting up at 5am, unable to sleep properly, since 7 dpo too!

I know for sure that I'm not getting obsessed with symptom spotting this time as its my partner and close friends telling me to do a test. Achey boobs is normally a symptom for AF for me, but this is tingly and burning! They're also heavy and a few times per day I feel this weird sensation... It feels like cool water is being flushed around my boobs!?

I know it's pretty early to test and this is our first month TTC again so I know my odds are low, but I just know it. It sounds weird but it was like I just knew on one of our BDing days.

Has anyone experienced this or am I going crazy? Anyone have this ending in a BFP?

Can anyone help put my mind at ease and give me an honest opinion please?

Congratulations!

I used a FRER, I think I may have ovulated later on in my cycle than what my app predicted. I've charted cm etc and on days where I was supposed to be fertile I didn't have EWCM at that time, but did a little later on. Mind you, last time it didn't come up for a while with my son.

It look me 3 years to get pregnant with him so I already feel so tense this time around.

I think I'm going to try and wait until I'm due on to test again but I'm a POAS addict with no restraint ahah.

Have you been using OPKs and temping? The wait is so horrible isn’t it?

I’m due AF anytime minute now and I plan to do the Sperm Meets Egg Plan and see how that goes as I’ve heard it to be really successful.

I do think you are more than likely texting to early. I remember when I was pregnant with DS I tested one day it was negative and the very next it was positive.

So don’t give up hope I know it’s a lot more complex than that and I can sympathise as I’ve been ttc for 6 years.

I wanted to start a thread going on the sperm meets egg plan as I need some like minded ladies to help motivation.

I’m not sure if temping actually works but when you factor it all in together surely it all adds up. I think I see it written somewhere that the OPKs can say ovulating but temp confirms it. Has to be basal though.

I’m all very new to it aswell.

I’d say wait until the day your AF is due then test. That’s what it says in sperm Meets Egg and it’s bascically having sex every other day but the first 3 back to back.

It’s easier to read than explain lol. You can download it for free in books on iPhone. It’s only a short read and sounds very promising x

Has AF come for you this month? What CD are you on?

So, yesterday I went to the dr's to rule out the possibility of a UTI... Whilst I was there the dr said that there's small traces of protein in my urine (Sorry for the TMI). But when they rang me this morning they confirmed there's no UTI but that it could indicate pregnancy, due to hormone levels rising?

Also my cervix has gotten so high now that it's basically disappeared, I can't reach it at all!

Surely that on it's own has to be a bit of a good sign. Ahhhh, this all makes me crazy!

When will you test? I’m CD32 and AF is on her way I can feel her creeping but something is telling me she’s not even though it’s clear she is!

Maybe it’s my new positive attitude 😂

I’m ok thank you, still got the AF feeling. It’s strange because my mind is so focused on it I’m actually thinking at every bloody hour ‘oh I haven’t had AF cramps in the past 5mins, what does that mean’ 🙄

Honestly I’m driving myself crazy! But I won’t be disappointed when she shows because I expect her and I’m willing her to so I can start the SMEP.

@AllHopeAndNoResults They sure do. I've been an idiot and kept testing from about 6dpo, it's so unrealistic to show pos in that time but I'm a POAS addict.

I know that feeling! It could be a sign of implantation though! Is your AF due today / late. Sorry if you've already answered that, I'm on my phone and it's so annoying to refer back to messages. Stupid phone.

Pretty much in the same boat as you babe. My boobs have gone up another cup size, my chest is so veiny and I've started getting really prominent veins on my areolas. I've also got a weird cramping pain on one side but very low down, accompanied with a swollen mons pubis (sorry for the TMI). It's given me so many mixed messages and I keep crying about it, it's making me feel crazy.

Atleast we're not out yet! I really hope you get your BFP this cycle. Are you only any fertility meds? X

@Pixiexo you’re not an idiot at all, we all fall victim to not wanting to wait.

Those symptoms sound very promising but it’s mixed signals isn’t it because it can also mean AF arrival. I guess we just have to wait and see, at least we can support each other.

AF is due on the 13th according to Ovia so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m long and not regular.

I’m not on any treatment and I’ve only just started properly if you know what I mean so it’s unlikely I’ll get my BFP this time, I know you hear of it but I’m not that lucky unfortunately.

Are you using anything in addition? I’ve hear good things about preseed.

@AllHopeAndNoResults It's so nice to be able to talk to someone who understands and is non judgmental. I've seen some really nasty comments on some threads and over sites!

Why are AF symptoms and PG symptoms the same, natures cruel trick :(

I'm using a cheap version of preseed, all the same vitamins for a fraction of the price.

I'm doubting I'll get pregnant on our first cycle trying properly too, but who knows! We both may be the exception. When are you gonna test again?

@pixiexo I agree some people can be mean or just not get it. I always here ‘it will happen when it’s the right time’ or don’t stress. It’s not helpful when you know you are in the group of women who struggle to conceive.

I bet if or when we do eventually get BFP we will know instantly all that symptom spotting was silly because it was pointless 😂

I’m not going to test again because I’m pretty certain AF will show up if by some miracle it doesn’t then I’ll test at the weekend. What about you? I’m going to mirror what you said about using the phone and apologise if you’ve already answered that xx

AllHopeAndNoResults It's easy for them to say as they probably haven't had the same fertility issues. I just feel it's particularly heartbreaking seeing as these threads are specifically for people trying to conceive and not every pregnancy is the same!

Ahaha, so true! It's so hard though isn't it and to be fair, either way it helps you learn about your cycles and see what symptoms correlate to certain parts of your cycle. Or atleast that's what I tell myself!

I'm going to do the same as you, if I don't come on in two days then I'll probably test. I've got some Internet cheapies so I'll likely test everyday or every other day until I come on or get a BFP.

@Pixiexo it is unkind how some people will come on a thread and just be anything but supportive. Also I have friends who have struggled perhaps and forget that they went through it when they’ve managed to conceive and be unhelpful or when someone’s tried for 2 months got pregnant and ‘really relates’ to the 6 year struggle 😂

I honestly don’t think I’m learning my cycle that way because I go blank each month and still question any twinge or pain and think did I have this last month? I just don’t remember lol.

I ended up testing because I am pretty sure AF will be here on Saturday and I had one test left so felt like I didn’t want it staring at me for no reason 😂 it was BFN as suspected so I am now certain AF will be here as the test says it can detect as early as 4 days before AF and I’m 3 so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m out this month I’d say. Let’s hope you aren’t x

@AllHopeAndNoResults I know that one! Fortunately it only took me 3 years of crazy sadness to get pregnant with my son. But there were losses along the way that I was told 'it obviously wasn't meant to be, it'll happen when it happens' some people just don't get it. I really feel for what you're going through.

Have you got a tracker app? I use Flo and its really good. That may help?

Don't rule yourself out yet! I didn't show on tests until I was 9 days late with my DS! There's still hope until you're on.
I've done the same and tested today when I'm due on tomorrow, I'm heartbroken to say the least. I feel so emotional and upset :( but I'm trying to take my own advice which is hard for both of us to hear I imagine.

I really hope this goes as planned for us or atleast we can go through this journey together.

My cervix is still so high that I can't reach it, my boobs have gone up a whole cupsize to the point I've had to buy new sports bras as bras are too uncomfortable. I feel like this may have been a chemical pg or another miscarriage. X

@Pixiexo 3 years is still a long time and defo a struggle, any time is really it’s just people’s attitudes towards others once they’ve gotten their long awaited child.

I had some news from the GP yesterday that I have low progesterone and I wasn’t ovulating on the day they tested me bloods. I’m not sure where this leaves me now 😞 there are some creams but I’m not sure which one to get I don’t want to do more harm than good.

I’m sorry you feel so down and it is really hard but just think once these 5/7 days are over you can try again and this time you have new info (sperm Meets Egg for eg) and you are bettering your chances.

I use Ovia although I’m not sure how accurate this is yet.

I’m sure though if you was having a chemical there would be a faint line on a test? I hope for you that you aren’t going through that but don’t give up yet! You are due tomorrow so not long to wait for an answer with way!

Hopefully BFP again if not it’s only a few short days until you can try again. Also bare in mind that as you’re due your moods will be lower so everything seems more negative. Wait for her to pass and think with a clear head.

So, AF is due today and usually I would be experiencing heavy cramps throughout the night, which I haven't. I usually know that AF is definitely here as soon as I get up, if you know what I mean. (TMI, sorry!)

No sign of her, another TMI alert. When I went to the toilet to test alot of watery, milky cm came out. Tested, BFN :(

I ov'd on the 27th, so that would only put me at a little over two weeks pregnant, so I'm guessing it wouldn't show up yet anyway?

Still have sore boobs, which are heavier, bigger and swollen. I'm swollen down below too. I don't know if this is related but for a while I've been getting up at 5am, wide awake; Whereas usually I'd be waking up at 6.45 or 7am feeling groggy and tired.

How are you getting on?

Morning @pixiex, well the fact you haven’t actually come on is a good sign right? Do you usually wake up to a bleed or does it happen through out the day?

I’m feeling ok thanks, really sore boobs, a few cramps, felt lightheaded a few times. I’m sure it’s all AF related though not getting my hopes up.

I ordered some new OPKs and they came with pregnancy tests and I decided to try 🙄 anyway the faintest line appeared as it was developing and as quick as it appeared it disappeared, not even a whiff of one. I wonder what that means?

I’m not due until tomorrow and I know she’s on her way I don’t know what I was thinking tbh I think maybe all this pregnancy talk has perhaps made my eyes see a line iykwim?

Normally I come on straight away. I'm going to go for a walk with DS this morning so hopefully that doesn't bring AF on. Feel like I'm clutching at straws ATM.

I've had that happen to me a couple of times now, I've put it down to a hopeful BFN turning to a BFP.

I'd say it's possible to have BFP, I really hope you don't come on, I really really hope we get our BFP's this month :/

I still haven't come on, no sign of AF. Watery, milky cm. And a tonne of acne starting which I haven't had in a long time. I think I'm out for this month. I've gotta be 15/16 dpo but only negatives coming up? Wouldn't it show by now? I'm losing hope more and more everyday; When I would have thought I'd be getting more hopeful by not coming on. Maybe it's just a late AF?
