@wannabemama0812 They look positive to me. I've read that clear blue digital ones don't often pick it up when it's early days...

Tamalama · 07/07/2019 09:03

Today is ov day! Have a headache, nausea, slight cramping, etc. I've had ewcm the last few days and lots of it yesterday...
dtd on Wednesday, Thursday and yesterday so fingers crossed! I'm guessing tww begins tomorrow 😱

mommato3 · 07/07/2019 09:04

@wannabemama0812 They're positive. The cb digital aren't as sensitive as the frer. Don't panic. You're pregnant. Congratulations xx

Ithoughtyouwere · 07/07/2019 09:12

Took a FRER this morning with FMU - still BFN. Took two tests which was ridiculous really (not going to think about the cost 🙄). Still feeling nauseous. Don’t know what is going on but suppose I’m just going to have to wait and see if AF arrives at the end of the week.

Starting to wish I’d used OPKs as at least would have a more definite idea when (if) I’d ovulated and would then know when I should be testing. Although I know I’m testing early, I got a bfp with DD super early on so it’s really hard to ignore how I’m feeling.

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 09:24

@wannabemama0812 that's positive congratulations!!! Cb digital is less sensitive so maybe try that on in a few days when your levels have built up! ☺️

@Tamalama good luck!

@Ithoughtyouwere how many dpo are you now? When is sf due?

Ithoughtyouwere · 07/07/2019 10:11

@Abi58 due Thursday or Friday per the two apps I have. Obviously could have ovulated late this month and have a long cycle this time which is putting everything out but who knows. If I ovulated when predicted I would be 9 or 10 dpo? So probably still too early to be testing anyway, I’m just hopeless at waiting!

wannabemama0812 · 07/07/2019 10:19

Thank you, ladies! I’m getting excited now 😁

I am having cramping, though. I have for about four days or so. It very similar to ovulation or period type cramping (although I never actually get much period cramping - I’m getting a lot more of this!)

It’s on and off, rather than constant. But I’ve noticed it for a few days.

I think some pains are normal, but how much is normal? I’m terrified I’ll go to the loo and find blood!

Has anybody had this in their earlier pregnancies ?

Also, I’ve not been eating well, been sleeping terribly, been very inconsistent with my vitamins, been stressed to all hell, and drank half a bottle of Prosecco last night. Already a terrible mother!

Hannah1925 · 07/07/2019 10:58

Hey ladies. 13dpo and still period pains and think AF is arriving as spotting has started. I don't know what the pink bleeding was a 9dpo and all the cramping then as well. I'm really gutted as this is taking longer than I ever thought it would.
New stats now:
TTC #1
Age:26
Cycle 9 😭😭😭

Congratulations everyone else

Im going to go off this thread now. How do I find an August one? Xxx

mrssunshinexxx · 07/07/2019 11:24

@Hannah1925 sorry to hear that it's crap!
You will probably have to make one I don't think there is one yet x

Islandermum · 07/07/2019 11:32

Congrats @wannabemama0812, you will be an amazing mum, we all need some prosecco now and then!
2dpo today ladies. Bloody ages to wait to test. DP graduates from his master's on the 16th so I might test then and if it's positive he gets a lovely graduation gift!
Boots has got a deal on FRERS, hopefully I don't over buy 😂

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 13:41

@wannabemama0812 I had cramping worse than period until a few days ago (about 5 weeks) and still having twinges apparently it's the body stretchy and the egg burying in so try not to worry.

I've also noticed I've got a smaller appetite (leaving half of my dinners) and don't worry about the Prosecco it won't affect until the placenta forms about 5-6 weeks 💕

Lauralozzle · 07/07/2019 13:58

Cycle day 5 for me today. DH was asking about the thermometer today, reckons it’s a fad thing to make me spend money. I’ve tried to explain what it’s for but he was like: People have been getting pregnant for centuries without them blah blah blah

I’ve just ignored him. I know the benefits of charting, although it’s my first cycle taking BBT. He also thinks the folic acid is a fad too, but I bloody well know it’s not!

I don’t think he’ll take an interest in these things unless we’ve been trying for a while with nothing.

AF has pretty much finished now, just spotting I always get at the end of a cycle.

MrsLBear · 07/07/2019 14:52

Congrats @wannabemama0812!!! Definite positives there! 🙏🏼

@Islandermum we are on the same sort of DPO I think I'm either 2/3 DPO! The dreaded ttw begins!! Ah that'll be such amazing news for him fx crossed for you.

@Lauralozzle tell him it's 100% not a fad. Some drs even recommend people to do it as a temp shift cannot be mistaken. The proof is in the pudding. It's worked for many people. Plus I bet half the people who did temp or do temp to conceive don't talk about it as it's not your average dinner conversation. People have also been communicating without phones for centuries but everyone has one now and it does make life a hell of a lot easier. Same as temping.
Also folic acid is not a fad at all that's mental that he thinks that. The nhs wouldn't recommend it if there weren't concrete studies and I'm sure after a quick google you'd find them. Don't get me wrong plenty of people don't take them and their babies are fine but is it worth the risk when all you had to do was buy some form of prenatal vitamins? The boots version are perfectly fine and are exactly the same as pregnacare bar the hefty price tag.

fancytea · 07/07/2019 15:22

@wannabemama0812 congrats!

@Islandermum congrats to DP, that would be a wonderful gift :)

I'm CD19 and bled yesterday but just spotting. Bad sign? Good sign? Not a sign of anything?! Confusing haha!

Ginfizz90 · 07/07/2019 15:26

@Hannah1925 so sorry you think AF is on the way!

I think I was definitely naive to the fact I thought it would happen straight away. Try to think most average couples conceive within 12 months. I know it's so hard to keep positive.

I'm 8dpo and not one symptom to report, I don't think we got our timing right this month so I'm not hopeful.

Any tempers out there? FF put cross lines on Saturday but I actually felt like I was still cramping Sunday so would have put ov then. Are temps really reliable

June1987 · 07/07/2019 16:38

@@Hannah1925
I’m sorry you think AF is on the way! I’m in exactly same boat. Due AF Tuesday and I just know it’s going to happen, boobs have gotten sore and I’m in a foul mood and snapping at my husband. I’m gutted and feel so so down about it.

Just horrible isn’t it. Try to keep positive x

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 16:46

@Ginfizz90 if you take the temps at the same time in bed yes they are very reliable, I've always seen a definite shift 👍🏻

Lauralozzle · 07/07/2019 17:22

@MrsLBear I know. I think he thinks it’ll just happen now we’re not preventing and that there isn’t much to it, so to speak. He looked at me funny when I told him the chances of conceiving. All that time being told you’ll get pregnant if you do this or that at school makes it seem like it happens at the click of a finger, but I know that is not the case.

Don’t worry, I’m still taking folic acid, charting, using opks haha. I want to know 100% we tried at the right time! His answer to folic acid tablets was eat more food with folic acid in! He looked horrified at the size of them (I gave the pregnacare multi vitamin one) and was asking if it was chewy because they’re so big!

Like I said, it’s still early days, and I’m being careful to try and still make it fun! But I also want to DTD at the right time!

He means well, bless him. He just doesn’t understand that I’m not ‘throwing my money away’ and I have these things for a reason!

To try and keep my mind of TTC im going to focus on my diet this month. Just weighed myself, and I’ve put on weight from holiday (even with all the walking) so need to try and get back to a healthy weight! Salads I think for me this month!

@Ginfizz90
It’s my first month temping, but I’m pretty sure it’s reliable if you’re consistent (time etc)

flossy12 · 07/07/2019 20:29

AF due tomorrow and having a real down day 🙁🙁 hope everyone else is being a bit more positive than me!

I know it can take months and I've always thought I might take a while as never had any 'accidents' even when missing the pill or coil dislodging etc, but the realisation of 2 months and no BFP is really getting me down today,

Could also be the fact OH hasn't had contact with DS for 12 days so we're missing him

Sleepyhead11 · 07/07/2019 21:44

So lovely to see so many BFPs and so sorry Emma for your loss.

I am cycle five and AF due tomorrow. Have been off this bus for a few weeks due to maintaining sanity (I really struggle with 2ww) but could do with the camaraderie now AF is due. Have an FRER but ignoring it, actively, which means not really ignoring at all.

ttc19 · 07/07/2019 21:52

@Sleepyhead11 @flossy12 I'm due tomorrow too. Tested this morning.. couldn't wait!! And got BFP. I've never known months to go so slowly.. not that I'm wishing away the year or anything x

ttc19 · 07/07/2019 21:52

@Sleepyhead11 @flossy12 BFN!!!!!!!! I meant BFN! Sorry x

flossy12 · 07/07/2019 21:58

Well ladies let's see how it goes then! @Sleepyhead11 I'm the same I tend to stay away once AF shows up although I like seeing the BFPs on here it's still painfully slow watching the days go by and watching other people do the same thing!!

@ttc19 looks like we're in the same boat hun 😕😟 it's awful isn't it, yet another month we have to wait 🙄🙄

sao811 · 07/07/2019 21:59

Hope its not too late to join? Feeling really nervous on cycle 2 of TTC, 1st DD was a surprise so never experienced this before! Done an OPK that was positive yday, DTD friday and today. Clue has ovulation day as today (CD14), had sticky discharge and some cramps this morning. Due 23rd July so hoping we get somewhere this time, would use say to try more? Or will.I have missed the opportunity now with the OPK n clue

flossy12 · 08/07/2019 07:44

Well looks like she's on her way! Pinky brown when I wiped this morning so just waiting for full aunt flow to show now 🙃👎🏻 x
