@FirstTimeMama91 sorry you're having a tough time - is really sucks to go through this and milestones like that are extra hard. I hope you're being kind to yourself - how supportive is your OH with this? I know they sometimes don't really get it when they're not the ones going through it in the same way.

@Lilimum7 glad you're feeling positive about this cycle, I hope you manage to stay relaxed! 🤞it's your month.

@Russkispy congratulations! That's a really good line, I really hope it sticks and you have a happy healthy 9 months.

CD9 here so gearing up to dtd every other day for as long as possible! Also waiting to hear on blood tests for hormones, lupus screen etc - how long did others wait for these?

VenusStarr · 08/07/2019 07:12

@Ginmonkey84 and @Russkispy congratulations :)

@Lilimum7 that sounds like a good plan. If I remember rightly your cycles are short like mine aren't they?

@AliceRR how are you doing?

@FirstTimeMama91 I'm sorry you're feeling low. Its completely understandable. Sending love 💜

@Avocuddles How's things with you?

@Navy123 hope you don't have to wait too long for your test results.

I'm struggling quite a bit, all my hopefulness I had earlier in my cycle has gone and I'm very anxious. I'm actually finding it difficult to see positive tests. It's just exacerbating my fear that it will never happen for me again and being left behind. I was feeling so good last week. It started on Friday when I started to feel guilty for feeling so good. Now I've found myself saying to people when they say how are you, ill reply that I'm OK but I'll well up with tears again 😢 so clearly I'm not. Dreading af arriving this week. I had some cramps all day Saturday that I tried to tell myself were implantation cramps but in my head I know they're not. This cd is when I started bleeding on holiday, even though its 4 days early so expecting I'll be on soon. Feeling very helpless and sad.

Avocuddles · 08/07/2019 07:46

Hi all and greetings from sunny Croatia! Second day of holiday and it's lovely and hot already.

@Russkispy congratulations that's fantastic news. I hope you have a lovely sticky bean. Out of interest what supplements etc have you been taking after seeing the fertility coach?

@FirstTimeMama91 sorry you had such a tough day yesterday. It's always going to be hard thinking of all the milestones that would have been. I hope today is a better day for you.

@Lilimum7 your attitude sounds great. I completely understand what you mean re obsessive behaviours, I've been itching to POAS every day though as am I'm only 7 or 8 DPO I've told myself to wait at least three more days.

@VenusStarr I'm good thanks - going on holiday was exactly what I needed at this point, we're here for another ten days so hopefully I'll come back very relaxed. Don't lose hope about this cycle, it's not over until it's over and from what I understand every early pregnancy is different so obsessive symptom hunting is pretty pointless.

I'm kind of hoping that if AF is going to arrive that she does it sooner rather than later as it's taking an awful lot of willpower to steer clear of the chilled white wine here! I've got 5 or 6 pregnancy tests waiting in my wash bag but know it's still far too early.... Like you I don't feel optimistic but as it's the first cycle that I've ever seen a positive opk I won't rule myself out quite yet....

Constance1234 · 08/07/2019 09:00

@Russkispy Congratulations, what a great end to your holiday! Would you mind sharing what supplements you took, and dietary changes? x

@FirstTimeMama91 Sorry you are having such a tough time, I totally sympathise, I was supposed to be having my 12 week scan today. Hope you are feeling a little bit brighter today x

Mumbi19 · 08/07/2019 09:08

Hi all it's good to meet you all in such unfortunate circumstances. @FirstTimeMama91 I truly feel your pain. I've been crying non stop also. I had a missed miscarriage diagnosed at 8 weeks after hearing a heartbeat at 6 weeks. My 34th birthday is next week and I would have been 12 weeks on the day. Its okay to cry, just know that today brings a better day for us all.

I have an appointment today at the recurrent miscarriage clinic at St Mary's. I'm also seeing an acupuncturist, I'm hoping something positive will come out of all this.

I pray that we all come out of this stronger than ever.

God bless.

(p.s apologies if this message was sent twice)

Mistymeow · 08/07/2019 09:08

@Russkispy so pleased for you! What wonderful timing. You’ve had such a hard time of it, I really hope this is it for you.
@Ginmonkey84 congratulations! Lovely news.
@Lilimum7 totally recommend not testing early. I let af arrive and felt so much better for not obsessing. I wouldn’t worry about your flow, my cycles changed to one day last year but I still conceived. It’s all back to normal after mmc no 2 but I’ve put it down to working on being calm.
@FirstTimeMama91 you will get there. I felt like you did after my second miscarriage, but it got easier and I generally feel very positive. Glad you have good support around you.
@Avocuddles sounds lovely. Try to hold off on those tests and focus on relaxing and enjoying your holiday ;)
@VenusStarr I think we can all relate to how you’re feeling. Remember towards the end of your cycle pms will make you feel worse- you will feel a lot better soon. It’s normal to feel like it’s not going to happen. I’ve seen it so many times on this thread, women saying they will be left behind childless, and those people are now pregnant with promising scans. That will be you too, you know Flowers

I met with friends who are expecting. One of them is a week ahead of what I would have been. I saw her stroke her tummy and it really got to me. They are my husband’s friends really so I don’t confide my feelings, but I told dh not to put me in that situation again. He understands. I generally feel optimistic but it’s having the double whammy of infertility and recurrent miscarriage that we find so hard. It’s so lonely and we can’t even see our closest friends.

Avocuddles · 08/07/2019 10:04

Hi @Mumbi19 I hope your appointment goes well and that you are on the journey towards a happy, healthy pregnancy. I miscarried at around 7 weeks though never saw a heartbeat. I started seeing an acupuncturist, I've heard such great things from friends who have used acupuncture for fertility issues that I'm hoping that it is helpful for me. Thank you for your kind words and prayers, this is a very supportive group but also one I hope we all manage to move on from sooner rather than later! x

Kayjay2018 · 08/07/2019 10:41

@Ginmonkey84 and @Russkispy big congratulations, I hope these are sticky and turn into lovely rainbows.

I'm now 14dpo, AF due yesterday and not yet appeared (she probably will now I typed this). BFN on tests so far. I chart on FF, which gave me confirmed OV, but I have looked again and changed settings and that would put OV three days later and me at only 11dpo. I'm so confused!! I don't know if my new supplements have impacted my cycle. I just though i was getting back into a normal cycle and am feeling frustrated

Lilimum7 · 08/07/2019 10:51

@Russkispy congratulations hun Fx for a super sticky bean and I hope you have a h&h pregnancy xx
@VenusStarr yes short only 24 days normally. Sorry you are not feeling fab hun x

Mumbi19 · 08/07/2019 10:53

@Avocuddles thanks for your message. How many sessions have you done so far? I had 2 before I got pregnant, but I attribute that pregnancy to the hycosy test I did. But it could have been a bit of both. I started back on the acupuncture last week, she recommended the herbs but I declined. Are you taking herbs?

@Kayjay2018 what supplements are you taking?

Mumbi19 · 08/07/2019 10:54

Also congratulations to the ladies with the positives. We hope to join you soon!!

Kayjay2018 · 08/07/2019 10:59

@Mumbi19 I've just started taking proceive max this last cycle - just about ok to drink if you mix them with fresh orange juice

FirstTimeMama91 · 08/07/2019 11:26

@Russkispy congratulations! Thanksfx for you that this is your rainbow!

@Navy123 thanks lovely. Awk yes my DH is trying his best but as you say, it can be hard for them to understand it.

@VenusStarr thanks hun 💕
@Avocuddles thank you I'm feeling much better today. I think I just needed to have a good cry and let it out.
@Constance1234 Awk hun, thinking of you today x
@Mumbi19 The milestones are so hard xx
@Mistymeow I hope so. I'm sure that was so hard for you to be in that situation xx

What would we do without this group? Thanks for always helping girls 💕

fnej01 · 08/07/2019 13:00

@Russkispy yay congratulations amazing news so very pleased for you after such a tough journey

@Ginmonkey84 congratulations

Hope everyone is doing ok. I think I am 3/4 dpo, and am sure the imminent madness will kick in soon x

Avocuddles · 08/07/2019 13:25

@Mumbi19 I've had three sessions, the first one was mostly a consolation so two full sessions. I'm not using herbs but have started taking ubiquinol and vitamin c along with pregnacare max all on her recommendation. It's pretty pricey when you add them all up but I figure well worth it if it works out! x

Avocuddles · 08/07/2019 13:25

Consultation not consolation, darn autocorrect!

Russkispy · 08/07/2019 16:49

Thank you ladies. Still feeling shocked! I kept having reflexology every other week. And after seeing a fertility coach whom I mentioned on here before, w switched to alkaline diet. Also drinking a smoothie of celery and green apple every day, and a squeezed fresh lemon every day and its flesh if you can stomach. I've attached a list of supplements she told me to buy. Had a D&C on 2nd May, saw her a week later and started all supplements and the diet from 12th May. Had first AF after D&c last month. And was expecting AF now. But a surprising BFP. Also, been taking DHEA, 75mg a day, Doctor's Best ubiquinol of 300mg a day, zinc of 15mg and aspirin of 75mg. I really would like to think and believe those changes made my BFP

Hi all

Congratulations @Russkispy

Thanks for asking after me @VenusStarr and I’m sorry you’re feeling low

AF is here for me and to make things worse I’m worried we might not be able to TTC for a bit. DH made me promise not to tell anyone this but I think mentioning vaguely on anonymous forum shouldn’t count. It’s probably TMI but on the off chance any of you have dealt with something similar. He has a foreskin problem which is just causing it to be really tight and he thinks he might have to have what would amount to a circumcision. I’m not sure we can dtd before he gets it sorted and if he does get that done I’m not sure how long it l’ll be ‘til we can TTC again. It’s not all about me obviously (and it’s something he’s struggling with as he doesn’t really want the surgery) but we both want another baby and this is just another spanner in the works.

JuniperAndRose · 08/07/2019 19:28

@fnej01 I’m also 3-4 DPO so I’ll join you in the madness. Last month I had every pregnancy symptom that could have been psychosomatic (lots of nausea, also I genuinely thought I felt implantation pains) but none of the ones that could not be all in my head (temperature increase, implantation bleeding). Someone on this thread mentioned that they decided to only check their chart on a Sunday and that sounded sensible to me so I’m going to try to stick to that

TinyPaws · 08/07/2019 19:38

@Russkispy Amazing news! Congratulations and fingers crossed this little one makes it.

@Mumbi19 Welcome and sorry for your loss.

@VenusStarr @AliceRR Sorry to hear your both having tough times.

As for me, I started my FET cycle at the beginning of the month and sorting everything out is quite a mission! Nearly got everything sorted though. Am trying to keep myself busy and get out in the sunshine as much as possible (although I think I got a little too much sun this weekend!).

fnej01 · 08/07/2019 20:27

@JuniperAndRose ah good to have a cycle buddy. I have to start progesterone at 7dpo which just makes all of the symptoms worse. I end up symptom spotting everything when it's actually just really bad pmt. You have more restraint than me if you can stay away from the charts.
Good luck and lots of baby dust to us both x

Ginmonkey84 · 08/07/2019 20:52

Thanks so much ladies I’m still in shock to be honest.... I had my blood test done today, just routine as I haven’t had a period since my miscarriage so hopefully will have the first result tomorrow and then will have a repeat on Wednesday. Really hope it shows a normal progression x

Mistymeow · 09/07/2019 10:27

@Mumbi19 that’s very sad, my recent mmc we also saw a heartbeat. How did your appointment go? I hope you’re ok.
@TinyPaws great that you are doing a FET this cycle. When is the transfer? Got everything crossed.
@AliceRR that sounds very painful. Could he get some information from his GP on recovery times? Maybe you could plan something to take your mind off ttc if it’s going to take a few weeks to heal. Not ideal but probably better to get it sorted soon and focus on how much better he will feel when it’s fixed.

Good luck to everyone else this cycle!

Can I ask those of you who have been seen by the recurrent miscarriage clinic on the nhs how long the appointment usually is? Will it just be a case of a consultation and vials of blood? I need to be on a flight later in the day but don’t want to cancel the appointment which is at 9am. Do you think I will be done in an hour or so? Thanks Smile

Navy123 · 09/07/2019 12:38

@Mistymeow I haven't had my appointment yet but I've already had the bloods done so that we can talk about the results at the first appt rather than doing the bloods then. My gp wrote to them to find out what needed doing - could be something to try to speed up the first appt? Obviously if it's really soon then that won't help!

Mumbi19 · 09/07/2019 13:09

@Avocuddles I agree it's worth the money as we feel we are trying all roots possible.

@Mistymeow well as this was the first appointment, the Prof just went through my previous scans from my OBYN, based on her review she doesn't think my two fibroid caused the miscarriage. She said she can't say much until we get the results from the genetic testing from the baby. The results are due in two weeks. I'll have a follow up appointment then she will decide what steps to take. It's all very long winded.

@Ginmonkey84 congrats, so is this a positive after a miscarriage? Did you notice any symptoms? Not sure when my period is due as I had the miscarriage in June. We got back to doing the deed as soon as I stopped bleeding. So hoping to join you God willing.
