Tentative congratulations to @ReeReeR @Navy123 @Mistymeow and @Pop1234! Fingers crossed for you all!
@Bacchant sorry about your loss
@Squiff70 sorry you saw red blood spotting. Hope it's nothing
AFM, I keep having brown discharge/spotting on and off throughout the day, all day, but not filling up the pad etc not in pain, clots or discomfort or cramps. Think feeling nauseous in the mornings?! Just been to the loo and the discharge kind of changed in colour and maybe a bit watery now with some brown bits, and when wiping mostly. Ive read on Tommy.org and miscarriage association about bleeding and think I'm ok as long as I don't bleed fresh red blood and experience tummy ache etc it's just doing my head in! rescan is next Wednesday when I'll be 7 weeks. can't wait to see what's happening inside!

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 19:09

Thanks @Avocuddles

I really hope this sticks for you too @Mistymeow

@Internetaddictgirl As others have said you are not out for this cycle yet but it sounds like you have a lot on your plate. I really hope you’re DH is ok and the treatment does what it needs to do.

@SMiles14 That sounds so tough. Good luck for this cycle

@VenusStarr Let us know how you get on

Thank you @Russkispy Fingers crosses everything is ok at your scan next week and you get some reassurance

Squiff70 · 30/07/2019 19:48

Thanks eryone for the advice. I haven't had any more bleeding since so it may have been (hopefully) the embryo implanting.

The hospital phoned earlier and offered me a scan at 11am on Monday when I'll be 6+4. I'm not sure if we'll see a heartbeat or not so early but keeping my fingers crossed. The same afternoon I'm back at the same unit to see the RMC consultant, so Monday is going to be quite a day!

Squiff70 · 30/07/2019 19:50

@Internetaddictgirl I'm sorry to hear your partner is going to be going through such treatment. I hope he comes out the other side healthier, happier and stronger and that you'll both go on to have a lovely litte family Flowers

Navy123 · 30/07/2019 20:33

@ReeReeR will you test again tomorrow? I tend to think line progression says more than one off line strengths anyway.

@Squiff70 sorry you've had some spotting. I hope it comes to nothing, I know how stressful it is.

@Internetaddictgirl how many dpo do you think you are? I hope you get your bfp, that tough with the chemo on top of everything else. Could be late ov, implantation can happen over a range of dates too then hcg will rise later.

@SMiles14 welcome, sorry you find yourself here - that sounds like it was tough for you. Our bodies definitely work against us sometimes! Fingers crossed for you.

@Russkispy everything crossed for you - hope it all settles down too!

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 21:21

@Navy123 That makes sense. If there is line progression it shows things are going in the right direction. I’m going to try to wait until Friday if I can, all being well, and test with FMU. I’m not sure there would be much progression within a day and it might worry me more if that’s the case. How are you doing?

Navy123 · 30/07/2019 21:34

@ReeReeR that's my thinking. Hcg starts at different levels for everyone and increases at different rates so I think comparing your own tests rather than looking at other people's is more reliable. I'm alright, tired! Desperately hoping for some nausea to show things are going in the right direction 😂 will test again tomorrow, may even splash out on a frer as well as the ic! Today's was definitely darker than yesterday's which I didn't expect - like you I thought a day wouldn't make much difference. How are you, any symptoms?

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 23:15

@Navy123
The main thing I noticed was that I didn’t feel like I had PMT. I have felt a bit constipated the last couple of days (sorry if tmi!) which I experienced with my first pregnancy. I have felt a little nauseous a couple of times over the past few days too but not today. I’ve felt tired too but I also did more at the gym so thought it could be that. All things that could be due to anything. Symptoms are reassuring but I know people who say they barely felt anything. A friend who had her baby a few weeks after I had my daughter said she didn’t have any tiredness or nausea and she now has a lovely baby girl x

TubbyMcFatfuck · 31/07/2019 00:26

Crikey! This thread moves fast! I started typing out a post on Monday night and got so far and lost it all. Came back on tonight and it’s all changed again. Loads of BFPs it’s so exciting! Must try to keep up!!

@Mistymeow Thank you for the hug and warm welcome. Congratulations on the BFP!!

@Navy123 Congratulations to you too!

@Squiff70 Congratulations! I am sorry you’re struggling at the moment and sorry that your dog is so unwell. It’s a lot to contend with all at the one time, big hugs Thanks

@Avocuddles That’s so frustrating! I’d second what the other ladies have said and push your GP for a referral.

@Internetaddictgirl you might not be out yet, fingers crossed for you. I’m so sorry your husband is going to have to go through chemo. It sounds like you’re going through a really tough time right now Thanks

@SMiles14 and @Bacchant Hello, sorry for your loss and that you find yourself here. I’m new here too but it seems like a very lovely, supportive group. Fingers crossed for BFPs very soon!

@ReeReeR Congratulations to you!! How are you feeling? I must say I don’t think I’d have been able to wait for my DH to wake up I’d have been kicking him in the ribs!

Poppy was my second baby. I already have a 2yr old daughter. I gave her that name as the Poppy is the flower of eternal sleep so it seemed quite fitting. What was your daughters name? X

Fingers crossed for you @VenusStarr and everyone else in the 2ww.

For everyone who’s out, big hugs and baby dust. Better luck next month eh ladies xxx

TubbyMcFatfuck · 31/07/2019 00:48

What’s everyone doing wrt tracking?

With my first daughter I just used Ovia to track my period and had lots of sex. Second time round (with the baby I lost) again I just used Ovia to track my period and time sex. My cycles the 2nd time round were all over the place as I was still breastfeeding my daughter but I fell pretty quickly once I stopped breastfeeding.

This time around I’m unsure as to what to do. So far I’m just doing what I did before, using Ovia to track period and time sex. But, the times before I was quite relaxed about ttc, now it’s totally different and I just want to be pregnant, like now.

I’ve been thinking about using OPKs and temping but I’m not sure if that would just stress me out. Plus my 2yr old sleeps in my bed and has a tendency to kick me in the head then want cuddles at 6am so I’m not sure if temping would work. If I’m right, you have to do it the second you open your eyes before you really move?

I’m seriously considering buying some kind of gadget like the Ava bracelet or OvuSense. Anyone use these? Would you recommend?

It’s hard to know what to do for the best. I’m torn between trying to stay relaxed about it and just going for it all guns blazing even though I think that’ll just get me stressed out! But then again, not doing everything I can, and not getting pregnant asap will also stress me out Argh!!

Avocuddles · 31/07/2019 07:51

Morning @TubbyMcFatfuck. I'm tracking with opks and temping, mostly because my cycles have historically been very long and irregular and we're potentially going down the fertility clinic route for support with that so I'm trying to understand whether or not I'm actually ovulating. My acupuncturist has spoken really highly of ovusense and I might consider getting one though it is pretty expensive.

Exciting news this morning is that I have had a positive opk! Solid smiley from clearblue and a pretty strong (though not technically positive) line on an easy@home strip. This is exciting because it's only the second time in 15 months that I've had a positive, and never had one at all prior to my pregnancy. It's also promising that it's only cycle day 20 which (although still long) would be the shortest cycle I've had since stopping the pill. I've been having acupuncture for around 6 weeks now so maybe that has lived up to the hype and shortened my cycles, or maybe it's just coincidence? Either way, it's good to know that my body is at least trying to ovulate even if it's another unsuccessful cycle.....

Slightly stressed however by the fact that I'm on a hen weekend this weekend. Not sure whether to have one real drink and then switch to soft ones, or just go for soft ones and try to deflect the inevitable assumptions that I'm expecting. The wedding is in a few weeks time so on the positive side I'll know one way or the other by then.... Shock

Mistymeow · 31/07/2019 08:17

@Internetaddictgirl sorry to hear about your husband. I hope you’re bearing up ok, sounds very stressful.
@TubbyMcFatfuck Thank you. Poppy is such a lovely name. I use opks and temping but only up until ovulation has been confirmed then I stop. But I only do both because we have infertility on my dh’s side so we need to time carefully. Anything that stresses you out is definitely not good for you.
@Avocuddles great news about the positive opk! Have fun :) I hope you conceive!

Predictably the brown spotting has started. I’m hoping it’s just my body having a clear out. Seems quite light, only when wiping.

ReeReeR · 31/07/2019 09:36

@TubbyMcFatfuck I think I was very patient but then I did tell him as he was waking up and had barely opened his eyes. He was really happy but then I showed him the test and he thought I was mad as he couldn’t see the second line at first 😬 He was like “aww, babe...” I have resisted the urge to POAS today but will try again tomorrow all being well and hopefully the line will be darker as I feel like it’s not fully real now unless I can get a darker line.

I used the Ovia app and also Clear Blue Connect which has its own very simple app. One cycle CB didn’t detect my peak so I used One Step strips (cheap) in the evenings sometimes too. I couldn’t temp. I tried a few times and managed to move or get up before I remembered. Another time I took my temp but then didn’t remember it and there didn’t seem to be a memory recall function. I found it a hassle. If you can get Ava or ovusense cheaply then it might be worth it but I don’t think it’s necessary for everyone.

I think Poppy is a really sweet name. Gary Barlow had a stillborn daughter and I think she was called Poppy too.

@Avocuddles That’s good news for you. Good luck for this cycle!

ReeReeR · 31/07/2019 09:37

Hopefully that’s all it is @Mistymeow

Navy123 · 31/07/2019 10:10

@ReeReeR that's what I noticed too - much less grumpy! Makes up for my extra grumpy ovulation 😂 and definitely constipation too, which seems to have resolved which sent me into a panic. Impressed at your poas restraint, I've got a nice collection lining the bedroom windowsill!

@TubbyMcFatfuck I use ovia and glow and go with the fw they both give - they're different so it ends up being about 1.5 weeks long which I think covers all bases. Last time I used opks too for 3 months to confirm when I ov, my cycles are luckily quite regular so once I knew when I would ov I stopped using them.

@Avocuddles glad you've got a positive opk! Fingers crossed for you. Try not to stress too much about the hen do - a bit of alcohol won't hurt during the tww. Plus I find if I have one drink and stretch it out no one seems to notice.

@Mistymeow sorry you're spotting, fingers crossed it's implantation/a clear out. Brown blood is better than pink/red.

My ic line is darker again today and my frer has a good line. I'm going to channel some of @ReeReeR s restraint and wait till Friday to poas again!!

CodlingMoth · 31/07/2019 10:10

I'm still here. Am away on holiday so not really able to keep up much. Also still in white knuckle mode. I just want to be 8 weeks already!

CodlingMoth · 31/07/2019 10:13

Great news on the ovulation @Avocuddles Grin

CodlingMoth · 31/07/2019 10:16

Oops posted my first message on the wrong thread Blush I got a bfp last week and am currently 4+4. Am equally excited and bricking it. Haven't made it past 7 and a half weeks in my last 4 pregnancies.

fnej01 · 31/07/2019 12:10

Congrats to @Pop1234 - quite a BFP day yesterday

@TubbyMcFatfuck I used Ava for one cycle and got my BFP. However I wasn't overwhelmed with it for the cost. I still used opk and Ava was a couple of days out.

I've just had my appt. scan showed 5wk 5 day with a heartbeat. This is off of my LMP (6days +2) by a few days but perfect on where I think i ovulated as was a long cycle this month. It's our 5th pregnancy and first time we have seen a heartbeat so very relieved. They are testing bloods to recheck clotting and will see me again in three weeks. Grateful to get to this step, but still feeling very cautious.

Hope those lines are getting darker ladies

Sorry I haven't mentioned everyone, haven't had time to fully absorb the thread, but hope all ok @Squiff70 @ReeReeR @Lilimum7

Navy123 · 31/07/2019 13:33

@CodlingMoth congratulations. Think you are one day ahead of me! Fingers crossed for you.

@fnej01 congratulations on seeing a heartbeat, hope the next 3 weeks go quick for you.

VenusStarr · 31/07/2019 13:55

I'm back from reflexology. Feeling really flat. I'm definitely not pregnant this cycle sad my uterus is cold. Least I won't waste any tests.

She did say my left fallopian tube possibly has a kink. There was something else about my uterus but I can't remember.

She also went over dh's SA results and they aren't as OK as we were led to believe.

She also said that my body is holding onto a lot of tension, so if I'm stressed it's counterproductive to fertility.

My fsh was excellent and she wants me to carry on charting for 3 cycles, so I will see when af is due to arrive. Got a 4 week course booked for September.

I'm gutted sad glad I've got counselling later, feeling very emotional and tearful now 😥

I'm going to step away from here for now. Wishing all you ladies the best xx

ReeReeR · 31/07/2019 16:12

@VenusStarr I’m sorry you haven’t had the best news today. I hope all these things can be addressed and you get your BFP soon. I’m sorry that it might not help that there have been quite a few BFPs on here the last month or so. I hope you’re not leaving here because any of us our making you uncomfortable and I hope the counselling helps xx

Squiff70 · 31/07/2019 16:21

@TubbyMcFatfuck Thank you. Poppy is a beautiful and perfect name for your daughter. We called our daughter Grace, and her twin brother Zach.

The bleeding was just a tiny drop yesterday and nothing since so I'm not too worried at this stage. My dog has has three consecuctive really good days with hardly any falls and is eating well so I'm getting more sleep and am not making any decisions about his future just at the moment.

@ReeReeR, you have the self-control of a saint not to have POAS this morning but really it probably wouldn't have told you much more than yesterday. You're much beter off waiting until tomorrow. Looking forward to seeig a nice strong line from you in the coming days :D

@Mistymeow I really hope your spotting is nothing serious. Just rest and take it easy if you can.

@Navy123 REALLY glad your second line is nice and strong now!

WOW @fnej01 that's amazing news! I'm 5+6 today and going for my first scan on Monday.

Squiff70 · 31/07/2019 16:23

@VenusStarr I'm so sorry you're feeling so low today. This thread has had a very recent speight of BFPs and I do understand how hard that is for those who haven't got theirs yet. Your time will come, I don't doubt it. We are here for you.

fnej01 · 31/07/2019 16:42

@VenusStarr I really truly apologise if my update today has upset you. I was just a bit excited! I was really rooting for you as your chart looked really good this month. My acupuncturist has made a whole thing about keeping my feet warm to keep my uterus warm, so even in the heat i have been rocking the big slipper boots at home! I'm not sure whether it's valid or not. Please look after yourself and come back to vent or update on here as you need.

And ladies I am going to stay reading the thread and hopefully offering support where I can but will do any other updates on a grads or alternative thread. X
