Thanks @VenusStarr x

Noisysparrows · 30/07/2019 08:18

@ReeReeR it's a definite positive at 11dpo, fingers crossed for a sticky one.

Congrats to all with positive tests, hoping they all stick. @Navy123 hope the spotting subsides, it can be so common but doesn't make it any less worrying for you.

@Avocuddles I've never bothered charting as it's too depressing waiting months and seeing no progress! I'm currently 16 days post miscarriage with no signs of ovulation (sometimes get sore boobs and EWCM if I'm lucky) so I guess at least we can be crappy long cycle buddies together. Honestly go straight back to GP and don't leave until they refer you - I found I had to be very insistent to get anywhere, they were very laissez faire and didn't seem to understand the implications of long cycles and lack of ovulation even when I explained it in words of two syllables or less...

fnej01 · 30/07/2019 09:01

@ReeReeR tentative congratulations 💕

Mistymeow · 30/07/2019 09:14

@reereer that looks very promising, and yes 11 dpo is still early. Maybe give it two days as then the line will be more visible.
@Navy123 how are you this morning? Any further spotting?

I used the frer and it’s a bfp. A big grin has spread across DH’s face. I’m seeing the gp this morning and have emailed the rmc. It’s still early days, I will be 4 weeks tomorrow but I’m determined not to let anxiety get the better of me this time. What will be will be and it’s out of my control. All I can do is hope. Thanks so much for all your support. I’ll hang around if that’s ok, but won’t post anything about the pregnancy.

fnej01 · 30/07/2019 09:15

@Mistymeow yay more tentative congratulations 💕

Pop1234 · 30/07/2019 09:32

@ReeReeR I think that is a positive and good line for 11dpo. Tentative congratulations.

@Mistymeow congratulations to you! Very happy for you.

I also tested last night (9dpo) and got a positive. Tested again this morning and still positive but a lot fainter. I think I have had this before with fmu not giving as good a positive as evening, but I'm still not getting my hopes up. Feeling a bit nervous.

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 09:40

Thanks @Mistymeow and gentle congrats to you and to you @Pop1234 xx

My DH is still asleep! I’m lying in bed next to him and every time he moves I whisper “are you awake?” and he isn’t answering. So I’m waiting for him to wake up so I can tell him!

I’m about 12 DPO (I don’t know for sure as I’m going by OPK and usually guess I ov the day after positive OPK)

VenusStarr · 30/07/2019 09:41

Wonderful news @Mistymeow 💕

Good news for you too @Pop1234, fingers crossed for a darker line later

How are you today @Navy123?

I don't know if this is a symptom, or I'm coming down with something, but I am absolutely boiling! Had the window open last night and feeling hot. My temperature was slightly up this morning. Trying not to get my hopes up as its most likely just progesterone and not baby related. But, am a bit excited that this feels like a lucky thread... ❤️

Squiff70 · 30/07/2019 10:09

@ReeReeR that's very exciting! Try again in two days and hopefully the line will be darker. I feel really positive about this one for you... Flowers

@Mistymeow congratulations to you too! So many BFPs lately - and lots more to come! Over the moon for you and hoping this is finally it for you and all of us.

Bacchant · 30/07/2019 12:29

Hi everyone!
Sadly I am joking this thread today Sad

I had a scan two weeks ago where they said I was looking 5 weeks (when it should have been 6+). I went in for a follow up scan today and they confirmed a mmc. I’d already braced for bad news as I was 100% certain on my dates.

I was hoping for surgical mgmt under local but the Dr who does it is on leave! So instead I’ll be having it done via GA tomorrow.

I’m a bit scared but at this point I just want it over!

I’ve ordered some new opk they’re the clear blue ones and apparently have Bluetooth?? Anyone used these ones before?? I’m thinking of waiting till after my next period to use them as they were expensive and I don’t want to waste them!

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 12:41

Hi @Bacchant I use Clearblue connect and think it’s handy to have all the results on an app. They will tell you when to start testing

Navy123 · 30/07/2019 12:52

@ReeReeR that looks good for 11dpo, that's what my line with DS looked like at 11dpo. Tentative congratulations, I hope we all get to move to the other thread soon.

@Mistymeow thanks. No more spotting so far (toilet roll scrutiny is reaching new levels including using my phone torch to be really sure 😂). Got some cramping which I'm switching between thinking is good stretchy types and af warning types. Time will tell. Tentative congratulations to you as well, something in the water this month I think here!

Also congrats to @Pop1234! I think a gap of 48 hours is best to see line progression.

Sorry you're here @Bacchant, I hope that it all gets sorted for you soon - the waiting is so difficult. Is your OH supportive?

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 13:00

Thanks @Squiff70

Thanks @Navy123 I think I’m 12DPO but the line is slightly more visible in real life 🤷‍♀️ AF isn’t due until the weekend so I’m hoping it’s only faint because it’s early

Good news you are not spotting

🤞

TinyPaws · 30/07/2019 13:20

Hi all I've been keeping a low profile here as I'm part way through a FET cycle and wanting to minimise stress, also I have a new puppy that is taking up most of my time! However I just wanted to drop by to offer commiserations to those with bad news and congratulations and good luck wishes to those with BFPs!

Big congratulations to @Mistymeow, fellow long time member of the penguin huddle! Fingers crossed for a happy healthy pregnancy.

Squiff70 · 30/07/2019 13:24

I've just been for a wee and had the tiniest spot of blood when I wiped. This is right after the RMC phoned me to book me in for an early scan on Monday and asked if I'd had any bleeding. I'm shaking with fear.

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 13:45

@Squiff70 hopefully it’s nothing but can you call rmc again and see if they can see you sooner?

Squiff70 · 30/07/2019 13:48

I'll them if I see any more blood @ReeReeR

ReeReeR · 30/07/2019 13:50

Yes hopefully it’s just a drop @Squiff70 I’ve been told before they don’t worry about it if it’s only on wiping but was thinking to set your mind at rest🤞

Squiff70 · 30/07/2019 13:52

That's good to know @ReeReeR, thank you. I'll keep a close eye on things. It was only the tiniest drop of pink blood but it has still scared me.

Avocuddles · 30/07/2019 14:52

Wow tentative congratulations @ReeReeR and @Mistymeow, so happy for you both and hope these grow into your rainbows.

@Noisysparrows it took me 38 days to ovulate after my miscarriage I've got a GP appointment next Friday so will let you know how it goes.

Welcome @Bacchant. Sorry to hear about your loss. I've used the standard clearblue but not the Bluetooth enabled ones. As it could potentially take a while for your first AF why not get some cheap strips for the first cycle then use the expensive ones when you have a better idea of your dates? I like the easy@home ones with the free Premom app.

Mistymeow · 30/07/2019 15:11

@Bacchant sorry to hear of your loss. If it's any help at all I opted for surgery under GA twice and it was very straight forward with an easy recovery period. I haven't used that brand before but it's very sensible to start the opks after one cycle, because it can take a while for the hormone to drop and sometimes the opk can give a false positive.
@Squiff70 thank you. I'm sorry you had some red blood, that's always going to be worrying given your past but as we know it can turn out ok. Maybe give rmc a call back to put your mind at rest.
@ReeReeR I really hope this is it for you!
@Pop1234 that's very exciting to hear, and a line at 9dpo is so promising. Keep me updated.
@TinyPaws that's so lovely of you, thank you. I've been thinking of you during your FET. Keep me in the loop. I hope your new puppy is being a nice distraction and giving you lots of cuddles.
@Navy123 glad to hear the spotting has stopped.
@VenusStarr that looks like a very promising chart. How many dpo are you?
@Avocuddles thank you. I hope you're feeling ok today.

I've been to the GP, he is a sweatheart and so delighted- he's been with us since day 1. He couldn't interpret my rmc blood tests and they aren't all back yet, but looks normal for most things. What made me nervous is my egg reserve it quite low so if we did IVF...well, I don't think I would respond. But he said it doesn't mean anything (I took that to mean he doesn't think we will need IVF). Still, it's made me feel a bit on edge if this little one doesn't work out.

Internetaddictgirl · 30/07/2019 15:25

@Squiff hope it’s just a drop.
@Navy123 @Mistymeow so excited for you both! @ReeReeR I can totally see the line!

I tested today with an internet cheapie. BFN. I got my CB peak static face on the 20th, so maybe I ovulated a little later, if at all as I wasn’t temping. Grasping at straws over here and have been weepy yesterday and today. Don’t know why, unless it’s a shocker of an AF on her way as my second period post miscarriage.

I guess I have quite a lot riding on this cycle as my DP just started chemo, so we can’t try naturally for 9 months.

Avocuddles · 30/07/2019 15:40

@Internetaddictgirl you're not out yet - fingers crossed that the next day or two brings you a BFP. Sorry to hear about DPs treatment and hope that is ok x

SMiles14 · 30/07/2019 16:18

Hello Ladies
I am ttc following a mmc at the beginning of this month. That was my first pregnancy and a huge shock all round.
mmc was discovered at the 12 week scan but they said it was a very early sac, feels very strange that I was carrying that around for so long while still getting all the increasing symptoms. I just think my body was trying so hard to make it work but it just didn't happen.

So now we are on O day (I think... hard to know what to expect as I know this will be a weird cycle) I had a temp dip this morning o hoping for some rises in the next few days. Feeling positive and terrified at the same time, also scared how I will feel if/ when I get AF.

Good luck to you all Smile

VenusStarr · 30/07/2019 16:20

Sorry to hear you had some blood @Squiff70 hopefully it's related to implantation and your little one settling in 🤞 good news you have a scan on Monday. I'd maybe give them a call back so they have the most up to date details.

@Mistymeow thank you, I'm 9dpo according to fertility friend. On my usual cycle af would be due a week today but that would be 16dpo and my luteal phase is usually 12dpo (I normally start af on 13dpo). Not planning on testing early.
Glad your GP is supportive. I know it's easy to say but try not to focus on what could go wrong, take each day as it come 💕

I'm sorry to hear of your dh's need for chemotherapy ❤️ @Internetaddictgirl and sorry you had a bfn, fingers crossed you're testing a bit early.

@Avocuddles how are you feeling today?

I'm really bloated, got quite a fitted dress on and my stomach is huge 🐽 it's absolutely pouring down and got some leaving drinks after work. I just want to go home and put my jogging bottoms on! Really looking forward to my reflexology tomorrow, will be interested to see if she thinks my chart means anything!
