Hi ladies
I can't remember who asked but I'm 8/9 dpo I think. The only symptom I have is period pain all day, but not sure if this is just my bowels instead lol. Temp is not raising about 36.60°c so Not looking promising. Everytime I've been pregnant by this dpo my temp was 36.7 to 36.8. Is probably low progesterone which in turn means no implantation because womb not ready. I have a GP appointment tomorrow afternoon to get results from a progesterone blood test, so will know for sure tomorrow. Did a frer today too bfn again. If I was pregnant I would have thought that it would be positive by now even a squinter would show

fnej01 · 21/07/2019 22:00

@VenusStarr good luck with the DTD.

@Avocuddles good news you have the heparin at the ready. I had a bit of a battle to get mine urgently. GP decided to debate the Consultant letter 😬! Sorry to hear you had a big clot before. Interestedly when they diagnosed me they were clear I was never to go back on the contraceptive pill. I had been on it for 15ish years until a few years ago

@Lilimum7 hope that you are just a little early testing 🤞

@LibbyBakes I'm very sorry to hear about you loss. But welcome to the thread Thanks

Hi ladies,
Wondering if anyone can help. I've today got a positive hpt I'm 12/13 dpi, af due Tuesday/wed. I've had x3 miscarriages over the last year or so. No children yet.

I'm under a consultant and they told me to ring epu once I get a positive test to start on aspirin and higher dose folic acid. My rationale side is telling me to wait until atleast af stays away, I've had x2 Chems and a mmc at 8 weeks previously. My irrational side wants to get on the phone first thing tomorrow thinking the sooner I start taking, better the chance I have of this one sticking. Has anyone been in this position?

Avocuddles · 21/07/2019 22:32

Hi @ineedanotherholiday I haven't been fortunate enough to be in your position yet but I would personally say give them a call first thing tomorrow, the fact of calling them won't change the outcome of the coming days but at least you'll be able to get the treatment you require going sooner rather than later.... good luck whatever you decide x

InDreamland · 21/07/2019 22:43

@ReeReeR fx for this cycle!

@Lilimum7 it might just be too early to test, also got my fx for you this cycle.

@Mistymeow I think women are programmed to take full responsibility because it's what society has believed for centuries. It'll take another few centuries to change that mindset sadly.

@Navy123 hope you get a gynae appointment soon. Waiting on the NHS referral takes forever.

@Squiff70 @fnej01 congratulations on your BFPs. Fx they are sticky beans.

ineedanotherholiday · 22/07/2019 06:27

Thank you for your post @Avocuddles that makes complete sense.

I hope you get your bfp soon and it's a sticky one x

Lilimum7 · 22/07/2019 16:45

@InDreamland @fnej01 thanks ladies but it would seem that this month is a definite bfn. According to my Doctor my progesterone test shows that at level 22 I probably didn't ovulate and ifi did its unlikely that implantation would be good and it's to late to start progesterone this cycle as I'm now 10dpo and if implantation had happened it would have shown on a frer. He said there's not enough progesterone in my system to make my womb receptive and the pessaries take about 48 hours to get the levels up to normal. So I'm having the test done again next month to check it's not a recurrent problem. I'm gutted. I'll have to wait and see what the FSH and AMH levels say at rmc on the 6th of August now. I can't help feeling like this is it (premature I know) and it'll never happen. Ivf is out as DH is Catholic and will not even entertain the idea. Adoption is out because of DH's lung condition. I'm feeling really low today and I just can't seem to pull my self out of it

VenusStarr · 22/07/2019 16:51

Sorry to hear your news about this cycle @Lilimum7. I know it's hard to stop your mind running away with it all but try not to think about what ifs. Your appointment is coming up and hopefully they can investigate for you. If progesterone is an issue, then there is help available. Ivf isn't the only intervention available. (I should take notice if my own advice here 🤔) x

Lilimum7 · 22/07/2019 17:06

@VenusStarr thanks hun I'm just in a dark place today I'm gonna go have a nice hot bath now I can and try to take my mind off it but it's doing star jumps in my brain. When I called DH to tell him the results it wasn't a good conversation. I think he's just disappointed but he said " I did my part now you've got to do yours" I know he's just being tackless but I really cut me.

fnej01 · 22/07/2019 19:14

@Lilimum7 really sorry to hear this. It might be that your body is just taking time to recover from multiple losses. I can't remember have you thought about acupuncture or maybe reflexology? I definitely think the acupuncture sorted out my periods and cycles again. Thanks
Also are things like clomid an option? I don't know much about it, but a friend of mine was prescribed it for a while supporting ovulation.

Internetaddictgirl · 22/07/2019 19:20

@ReeReeR I had my CB static smiley face on Saturday - so very near you this cycle!!

@ineedanotherholiday I’d call to make the appointment ASAP as they can sometimes take a week to fit you in (or get back to you!!!)

ineedanotherholiday · 22/07/2019 19:24

Thanks @Internetaddictgirl I've called and am waiting a call back. She did say today but hopefully tomorrow, she wants to speak to the consultant I'm under. Just hope af stays away now and I get the medication in time to help. Early pregnancy is such a worry after all the worry when ttc aswell.

Russkispy · 22/07/2019 19:26

Had a bit of a fright this morning. Woke up and everything was ok. After breakfast felt "wet". Went to the toilet and had blood on my underpants. It freaked me out! Called EPU instantly and they just kept saying to call GP as I need to be referred. I was getting mad at them as I never experienced it before. Anyway, they just told me to keep an eye on bleeding. I run to GP and they referred me. But I never had any other bleed all day, not pains, no cramps, nothing. The nurse said it was more likely implantation bleed. But to keep an eye and go to A&E if it starts again and progresses with pains and passing clots etc well, I'm trying to stay calm. As it's my first natural conception I just don't even k ow what's normal in early days and what ps not. As all my TTC was IUI or IVF and I was always on fertility drugs and never had any of those symptoms. I'm around 6w2d. Early scan is booked for next Monday.

@Squiff70 massive congratulations!

Russkispy · 22/07/2019 19:57

@fnej01 sorry I've missed your message. Tentative congratulations, fingers crossed!
@ineedanotherholiday tentative congratulations too!

ineedanotherholiday · 22/07/2019 20:02

Thank you @Russkispy

Avocuddles · 22/07/2019 20:13

@Lilimum7 sorry you're having such a bad time. As @VenusStarr says there are other options available so hopefully the doctors / rmc will come up with a plan that suits you. Sorry to pry (ignore me if you wish!) but why would your DHs lung condition rule out adoption? Only asking because my DH has a long term health condition too. It's not something we've looked into yet but that's not to say that we wouldn't consider it eventually.
As you say your DHs comments are tactless to the say the least,it's so hard when you're both hurting. I hope you manage to have some relaxing time this evening and that tomorrow is a better day for you.

@Russkispy sorry to hear about your worrying experience today, I hope all is ok and that you have no more scares.

With my OPKs all as white as can be I'm now focusing on the fact that I've got a GP appointment in two weeks time and can hopefully get her to reinstate my fertility clinic referral. For those of you who have had fertility clinic / gynae referrals, how long was the wait in your area? We've already been through the majority of tests including sperm count.

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/07/2019 20:22

My star sign for this week couldn't be more accurate! Glad fertile week is over for this month. Now just to hope AF comes next week and then once we head on holiday we can ttc again.
Hope you ladies are all keeping well xx

pinkoi · 22/07/2019 21:06

@Lilimum7

I can totally see why DH's comments would have hurt so much. You don't deserve that.

At the very least if it is a progesterone issue, that is addressable and you are now "on the books" at the doctors so they can monitor you. Has DH had any tests??

Be kind as you can to yourself. Have a wallow and a cry. Tomorrow will be brighter xxx

Thanks
Catconfusion · 22/07/2019 21:24

@FirstTimeMama91 I'm Cancer too and that's so true for me as well. I've had a problem with failed ovulations recently and I swear it's a stress cycle I get in. I can feel my body gearing up and it fills me with fear and dread because I'm scared of it not happening and then it doesn't. I need to chill much more. I guess because I have such long cycles so much is riding on it. Xx

PrincessConsuela12 · 22/07/2019 21:38

Hi ladies,

Hope you don’t mind me joining.

I am 31 and TTC after an ectopic pregnancy in December. It was our first month of trying and a shock when I got a BFP, unfortunately 2 weeks later I was told it was ectopic.

Fast forward 7 months and we have started TTC again, I am currently 4 days from AF and feeling crampy on & off and only getting BFN Sad

I think I was being overly optimistic this month, we didn’t really track ovulation carefully and probably didn’t DTD at the right time but at the back of my mind I’d sort of convinced myself it might work... if we’re not successful this month then I think we’ll start tracking so any tips / information you could share would be appreciated xx

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/07/2019 21:48

@Catconfusion Awk it's just so hard getting your hopes up each time. And everyone says try to relax but it's so hard x

Russkispy · 22/07/2019 22:36

Just been to the toilet and blood came out. I wiped and it's more of pink colour, I think. Fresh blood? So put the pad back on again. Feeling no pain or cramps or discomfort. See what the night brings. It's just never straight forward

Avocuddles · 22/07/2019 22:51

Hi @PrincessConsuela12 and welcome. Fingers crossed the next day or two could bring you your BFP but if not this is a great, welcoming place to hang out until you get your rainbow baby x

Internetaddictgirl · 22/07/2019 23:44

Fingers crossed @Russkispy

VenusStarr · 23/07/2019 06:52

Sorry to hear this @Russkispy. Hopefully all is well. Glad you're being seen soon ❤️
