@Anny27 yes totally... and then I wonder if that’s 30% just DTD without know when they ovulate or should be a higher percent if you know when you’ve ovulated! But it is so helpful to know that other couples are feeling the same way and that babies do come! I’m sure worrying does not help those percentages! Xx

@MIW01 it must be tricky knowing those results but great that the GP is proactive and that you’re not a year down the line finding it out.

ValidUser · 16/07/2019 21:48

@MIW01 I got tested after 4 months of TTC due to known adhesions.

I've since had surgery and hormone injections.

Had a likely chemical pregnancy on cycle 12, which means that technically, I fell pregnant within normal limits.

Knowing early is a wonderful thing. Wishing you all the best. X

@Lozzlepop I've been doing the same with the cats! Snuggled up with them on the sofa watching Love Island as DH finishes a late shift. Trashy TV is always addictive 😂 I'm debating watching the Love Island US episodes as well, considering the UK one will end soon!

@PippaPug is your wedding this weekend? I hope the last few days aren't too stressful! Lots of congratulations and best wishes for your big day 😊

ValidUser · 16/07/2019 21:55

@LokiCat cats are a wonderful source of comfort and distraction, aren't they?!

@PippaPug thinking of you and baby and soon to be DH. How are you? X

@Lozzlepop - have you booked in for a scan yet? Did I read that your pregnancy symptoms have changed? Mine have changed even over the last few days - I had all day nausea Thursday/Friday and it eased of by yesterday and by this afternoon started fo come back again - just to put your mind at ease if you don’t constantly feel sick/tired.

@LokiCat - how are you? I have also been watching Love island 🙈 Yes the wedding is this weekend, can’t quite believe it! Thank you very much - I’m very excited and currently rather calm!

Lozzlepop · 16/07/2019 22:25

@LokiCat mine only snuggles with me at bedtime, until then he’s a daddy’s boy on the sofa! I think DP would kill me if I suggest another 6 weeks of Love Island, although I heard that the Australian one was amazing last year!

@ValidUser how are you keeping?

@PippaPug no not yet, the cats injections skinned me yesterday so I am poor until payday! We can’t get one until 8 weeks anyway so no immediate rush! Are you planning on booking an early scan? Can’t believe the wedding is this week- you must be buzzing!! Thanks for sharing your symptoms I think I’m totally overthinking things I’ve not had any intense pain or actual bleeding so just need to chill (easier said than done lol) are you heading off on honeymoon after the wedding?

Imjustme2019 · 16/07/2019 22:55

@ELW85 sorry to hear you're going through this at the moment,we're all wishing and hoping it's all ok for you soon.

Welcome @Macbl and @Macblessortive you're in safe hands

Larrydavid · 17/07/2019 00:57

@LokiCat oh god, every other day for months is intense! We did it for two weeks almost last month and ended up hysterically laughing at each other by the end of it.

@Lozzlepop hopefully it's just healthy spotting but maybe get some tests done to reassure yourself. Hope you get that reassurance ASAP. Ibiza was awesome - lots of fun - and so nice to have a few days in the sun!

@Sammyd94 - did your doc advise how long it would take to get back to normal? With the hormonal coil I was told to give it 6 months. My periods have been really light but they're gradually getting back to normal. I started acupuncture last month - who knows if that makes any difference but it's got a bit better since.

@Anny27 I think I was so unaware of my cycles before my coil and ttc but totally agree that my body is trying to trick me now!

@ELW85 Keeping everything crossed for you. Im
So sorry you're having a crappy time. Take care of yourself X

@Macbless Welcome! I'm about your age too and I'm cycle 4. Hopefully this will be a good month for you!

@MIW01 Welcome! Do you know when your referral might be? Sounds like you're in good hands even if the test results aren't what you were hoping for. Hopefully your test this month will be positive!

Lozzlepop · 17/07/2019 06:42

@ELW85 how are you feeling this morning? Did they give you a scan yesterday?

MrsH497 · 17/07/2019 06:43

Morning ladies how is everyone?
@ELW85 how are you doing?

Hump day although I was convinced it was Thursday when I woke up!

Welcome to the newbies you won't find a nicer bunch of ladies who support each other.

Macbless · 17/07/2019 06:54

Thanks @Larrydavid that’s good to know. Hope the spotting/bleeding has settled @ELW85 and you managed to sleep.
X

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 06:56

Morning all

The fact that there are far too many of you to tag to in this post is a testament to how amazing our group is.
I read your messages in bed last night and had a little cry.
Thank you all so, SO much for your kind words of love and support. You’re all an amazing bunch of ladies and I’m proud to know you ❤️ Xx

They wouldn’t scan me or even take my blood HCG levels or check if it was an active bleed (even though this is what the midwife told me to tell them they’d said).
The doctor (who to be fair, must have any amount of crap to deal with being an A&E doctor) just said “we won’t do that. Wait two weeks and take another pregnancy test to see if it’s still there”.
I realise there’s not a lot that can be done anyway, but I told her that at least I’d know one way or the other if she did blood HCG there and it was repeated on Thursday when I saw the midwife. She just replied “we won’t be doing that”.

So, I’m in limbo for a while I guess, as the midwife won’t have anything to compare my blood to on Thursday.

I was going to stop temping, but I thought I should just to try and get an indication. Thankfully my temp is still massively elevated as it was yesterday, so there’s hope I guess.
I’ll ring the midwife this morning and update them.

I really hope everyone else is ok?

@Lozzlepop - how are you doing, has yours settled down yet?

And welcome to all the newbies :) as you can already tell these ladies are amazing

Lozzlepop · 17/07/2019 07:04

@ELW85 oh I’m sorry they were rubbish at A&E I thought they would have done more to put your mind at ease. The midwife might get you back in next week for more bloods? Has the spotting stopped? I am feeling generally under the weather, sore throat is still there and a bit of red spotting this morning 😣 but again only when I wipe (sorry guys) I know spotting is common it’s just everything I read is contradictory to the last 🙈 think I’ll skip the gym today, sore throat is a good cop out xx

MrsEG · 17/07/2019 07:05

@ELW85 Morning lovely, sorry to hear you had a rubbish time at A&E. Was the EPU not open? I find they do a lot more than your A&E department and as a rule will absolutely do blood tests, could you go to the EPU today? A&E just aren’t equipped for it. Has your spotting settled now?
As rotten as it is, they are right in saying that up to 6 weeks it’s a waiting game and that no matter what, there’s nothing you can do either way. I was told the same when I started all this medication. But I have my fingers very much crossed that this will all be okay for you x

LokiCat · 17/07/2019 07:09

@ELW85 that's a little frustrating that they wouldn't even do a blood test, I'm a little surprised at that. Definitely ring the midwife today, perhaps they can do the blood test at the EPU? As it'll definitely be better to have some answers rather than leave you worrying for two weeks..
I'm sorry you're stuck in limbo right now.. has your spotting got any better?
Are you able to have a day from home to recuperate? I know I wanted nothing more than a day on the sofa after all of that.
We're always here for you ❤️

@ValidUser they really are! They always manage to put a smile on my face and I love nothing more than a fluffy cuddle 😊 how have you been?

@PippaPug I'm good thank you! Just waiting for AF to finish so we can try SMEP this month! I think most people secretly watch Love Island but don't let it on 😂
How have you been feeling? I hope the nausea doesn't spoil your day x

@Lozzlepop haha our older cat was like that at first, she'd just hiss at me (although to be fair DH did have her from before me), but as she's been getting older she's become a sweetheart (or maybe just tolerates me now..). The little one loves anyone as long as they have food or cuddles 😂
How are you this morning?

@Larrydavid haha I think I was being a little unrealistic tbh! I think most of our DTD sessions involve some sort of laughter now😂
Regardless of how stressful this journey has been, I think it's definitely brought us so much closer together, which is great!
How was your holiday?

So I sent DH the link to the SMEP website last night and he's ready to go Grin
I also bought some Pre-Seed to help us out as ever since coming off the pill I've felt quite 'dry', unfortunately..
Anyone used it?

Have a lovely hump day ladies xx

MrsEG · 17/07/2019 07:21

@Lozzlepop Hi Hun sorry I only just saw your update too. Spotting is always worth getting checked out - I would go to your EPU. As you are around 6 weeks depending on your HCG levels they could probably scan you too, to put your mind at ease. It’s exactly what these units are there for - got my fingers crossed for you xx

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 07:43

Hiya @MrsEG @LokiCat @Lozzlepop - it was actually the EPU that told me to go to A&E.
The spotting seems to have slowed from last night, but I’m not sure if that’s just because I’ve been horizontal for quite a while. Its still brown (sorry) so I’m trying to take comfort from that as well as the the temperature.

I feel awful for DH; he’s coming up to 2 solid weeks at work, has his ex wife to deal with and can’t even enjoy this.

I’m staying calm as best I can, but I’ll let you know what the midwife says this morning :)

I’m at work all day and have got a load on. I just want to be at home doing the sum total of f-all!

@lozzlepop - honestly, my heart goes out to you. This is so tough to go through. I’m sure we’ve read all the same things, so it does seem to be ok and fairly common, but I’d 100% get checked out. It’s entirely up to you though xx

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 07:44

@LokiCat - forgot to say, we’ve used Pre Seed before. I think it’s ok once you’ve gotten used to it, just maybe exercise caution with the applicator 😂

Anny27 · 17/07/2019 08:11

@ELW85 sorry they werent helpful in A&E :(

@LokiCat we have used preseed. As @ELW85 says, the applicator takes some getting used to haha!

Lozzlepop · 17/07/2019 08:23

Spotting has increased, in the toilets at work having a cry!

MIW01 · 17/07/2019 08:24

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. @ValidUser @LokiCat @Macbless @Lozzlepop @Larrydavid @ELW85 thank you for sharing your stories and I'm really sorry to hear they're not all what you were hoping for. I am keeping fingers crossed that it all works out fo everyone soon!

GP has said that we both have a little something wrong, which may mean it takes longer, but nothing dia so she has recommended waiting until at least September before referring to make sure we are within the age limit cut off. I'm so pleased that we both found out family histories and were proactive about it now.

I've read on here about a couple of people conceiving naturally after 18 months/2 years which is great news and proves it does happen! I know that's not helpful when you're on the other side of it though. I'm very impatient.

MrsH497 · 17/07/2019 08:30

@Lozzlepop you ok? X

LokiCat · 17/07/2019 08:33

@Lozzlepop oh I'm so sorry lovely. Can you head to A&E??

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 08:42

@Lozzlepop - I’m so, so sorry. Definitely get yourself to A&E ❤️

MrsTK1 · 17/07/2019 08:45

@ValidUser Hi! I havent messaged on this thread before but i am about to start the process of having help TTC and reading your comment it seems that you are in that process already? Is a hormone cycle the first step that you have been through or have you tried anything else up until now? x
