Lutenisng hormone and prolactin levels high

Hey, just looking for a bit of advice, I'm not sure if I've posted in the right place though??

I recently did this test www.letsgetchecked.com/gb/en/home-female-hormone-test/

My FSH and oestradiol levels came back as being within a normal range. However, my lutenising hormone level came back as 14.30 IU/L
it says a normal range is 2.4 - 12.6 IU/L and my prolactin levels came back as 1185.00 mIU/L and normal range is 102 - 496 mIU/L, my level is more than double the upper level!

I was just wondering if anyone had similar levels and went onto conceive? My partner and I do want children, we aren't actively trying atm but we also aren't using any contraception, we're just trying to avoid sex around when I am apparently ovulating but not always lol.

When I took the test, on CD3, my period had actually came 6 days earlier than my app said it should, I'll discuss it with the nurse, but I'm wondering if this could be a reason why?? When I received my results, they asked if I was sure I did it on 3rd day of cycle, but I 100% did.

I'm 36 and I am a bit underweight, my bmi is about 17.4 - 17.5. My periods don't come at the exact same time each month, they usually vary by about 2-5 days. My period app shows that my luteal phase is always 12 days though which I believe is a good thing.

I've arranged for the nurse to call me back and I'm going to register with a Dr (moved to new area) to show them my results, I'm just worried that they will fob me off and not take me seriously :(

Sorry for the long post! TIA

Is your LH double your FSH? You might have PCOs. Would check with your GP when you show them your results? Did the hormone test also check testesterone?

My LH level is more than double my FSH, LH is 14.30 iu/l and FSH is 6.70 iu/l, so I will definitely bring up PCOS. The test didn't check testosterone no. I've got a call from nurse from the company, I'll see what she says although I have feeling she is maybe just going to try to be nice and say oh I'm fine, but I'd prefer honesty you know. I did some random 'what are my chances of getting pregnant' test and mine said 3% :( I know it's just an online test but it really worried me.

Thanks so much for your reply :)

If it helps try reading this thread as these ladies have the same high LH and prolactin. Also if you do have pcos, it’s not impossible to conceive, a lot of women do conceive. The FSH being low means you don’t have low ovarian reserve which is a good thing! It’s hard not to be anxious when trying to conceive but best thing is to be positive and you are doing the right thing doing a hormone test, so next is seeing what can be done but also continue TTC as each month is a new month to try.
