Thanks guys, I meant to log on yesterday afternoon but got carried away driving around!

We bought me a car a while back, so I could practise away from the actual lessons (boy I won't miss the cost of those!)and I think it really helped. At least I am now already used to the car and don't have to learn how to drive something different straight away.

Twiga · 22/09/2004 11:23

BeckiF, what a lovely proposal , have a wonderful time at your party and holiday - congratulations!

Runtus - great news - congratulations!

ebbie22 · 22/09/2004 11:38

Sending baby dust to you now...

runtus · 22/09/2004 11:40

I would just like to say how jealous of your proposal BeckiF...I got made "an offer" last xmas. I was told, and I'm quoting here, "how about we buy you a ring and we can call it an engagement present, so long as we are both aware it won't actually happen for at least 10 years".

Nice.

I'm currently working on an eternity ring, seeing as it seems it will take that long to get a wedding ring.

Tessiebear · 22/09/2004 12:13

Congrats Runtus - from someone who passed second time

runtus · 22/09/2004 12:25

It was all a complete fluke and I'm still waiting for someone to say "sorry, we made a mistake..you actually failed"

MINNIE1 · 22/09/2004 12:42

runtus, congrads its great to have it done and out of the way.. your 10 years waiting for the ring.. i have been waiting 7 and still nothing.. i'll be hitting 60 b4 i do see one.. lol

BeckiF, your break away sounds like heaven.. hope you relax and enjoy..

MrsWednesday, i'm back on track again, not stressing anymore.. Try not to think about the 2 wks (not possible) but try.. thank god for MN..

How is everyone eles doing??

CP3 · 22/09/2004 13:10

af due on Sun and think it will come as have wind today, sorry folks but its my sign.

Congrats Runtus on passing your test and Beckief, hope you have a lovely break.

Wifeof · 22/09/2004 14:40

Congratulations runtus {grin]

Thanks for the info sweetheart. I was on a very low dose (about quarter the daily rate) for just 10 days at the beginning of August and that did the trick, so hopefully that isn't a problem.

Still no AF, still have sore boobs, feel sick etc but the aches have subsided a bit, but this morning I felt really gaggy and had a very familiar metallic taste in my mouth which makes me feel I really am pg. Today's cd29.

Told dh last night that I'd done a test and it was negative, expecting a huge reaction. Instead he just said that I'm probably just stressed as I have been quite busy (but no more than usual).

What he hasn't twigged is that I could have tested too early and it ain't over yet!

We'll see - I'll test again on Friday if AF doesn't arrive as it'll be cd31 then and we're going away for the weekend so will have time to think about it.

sweetheart · 22/09/2004 15:00

I'll be waiting with bated breath on Friday wifeof - it's gotta be a BFP - othrewise it's a really cruel trick by your body

runtus · 22/09/2004 15:07

Ooh hope it's good news for you Wifeof, sounds promising anyway!

I've taken to ignoring my dh when he comments on ttc, he appears to know nothing accurate and he ends up just annoying me by being really negative about it all.

Why can't they understand that anything longer than 1 month is a long time to conceive, if you are the person trying?? Or that every twinge and new feeling might mean something and instantly getting excited is allowed?? Grr....

sweetheart · 22/09/2004 15:10

beacuse there men runtus and unfortunalty the only feeling of excitement they ever feel is what is commonly know as "an erection"!!!!!!!

runtus · 22/09/2004 15:11

so true!

runtus · 22/09/2004 15:11

And we have to coax some of that to get excited about that!

sweetheart · 22/09/2004 15:13

oh so true!!!!

It's typical isn't it - there so lazy that we even have to do that for them!!!

runtus · 22/09/2004 15:20

Why do we bother????

ebbie22 · 22/09/2004 16:12

Because we want more CHILDREN....Would be so much easier if we didnt....

Tessiebear · 22/09/2004 16:13

Hi guys! CD 7 here. Have been trying to BD every day but last night DH and i were both tired and today he came home for lunch especially and we managed to have a huge row and lose the moment completely!!! I suppose i am not yet due to ov yet anyway but thought it would be a good idea to stay "topped up" so as not to miss the moment IYKWIM BDing and actually getting DH to "co-operate is soooo stressful - looking forward to when i have definately ovulated and all i can do is wait! I am sure that will be stressful too!

MrsWednesday · 22/09/2004 16:20

You are so right Tessiebear, all I could think of at the weekend was 'have we done it enough? Have I ovulated yet? Should we do it again? Have I missed the egg?' etc etc. I was sending myself mad. And now I'm waiting....sigh.

For men this TTC lark is easy - they do their business and then forget about it until their other half waves a pregnancy test under their nose. They aren't monitoring every twinge, possible symptom etc like we do! Easy life...

Tessiebear · 22/09/2004 16:28

Mrs Wednesday - you wouldnt think they did the easy bit the way DH reacts - he says i need to "feed him up " for all this BDing, poor pathetic soul!!!

MrsWednesday · 22/09/2004 16:32

Honestly, what are they like?

I hope you'll be allowed to put your feet up for the whole 9 months when you do get pregnant then. Can you imagine what it would be like if they were the ones that had to have the baby? It doesn't bear thinking about.

Wifeof · 22/09/2004 16:50

Thanks everyone - you're very sweet

Will keep you posted.....

I've often wondered how men would be if they had AF? The whole work ethos would change as they'd have to take 5 days off every month!

Hulababy · 22/09/2004 17:20

Becki - hope you have a fab party and holiday

Runtus - masive congratulations on passing the test!!!

Hulababy · 22/09/2004 17:25

CD15, no temperture rise yet though so not OV I don't think yet. Other signs suggest it may be nearering the "right" time so to speak.

Tessiebear · 22/09/2004 17:37

Mrs Wednesday - have two DS's and a dog as well as DH so as for putting my feet up for 9 months.....
