I know there are loads of threads around at the moment but going through all the messages on there is a nightmare. So wanted to start a fresh one for people to join in on TTC their first baby...

I’m currently in cycle number 1 of TTC my first child. I am 6dpo today and hoping to hold out until 10dpo before testing.

I'm 32, TTC Number 1, on cycle 2.
I came off the pill in March and still working out my cycles so this month was a bit of a mystery. I think I'm between 5 and 11dpo but who knows! Might test in 2 weeks if AF doesn't show up.
Can't really imagine getting a bfp anytime soon, but hoping my cycles become regular so the timing of things is easier.
Are you using opks or helping or anything like that?

TTC no1, cycle 1, 7/8DPO so currently in the TWW.

Not really expecting for us to get lucky the very first month, but as I'm obsessing so much already it would be nice to be able stop myself slowly descending into madness...

Hi both, can i join? I'm 36 and ttc no1. AF started friday so I'm going into my 2nd cycle this week. I wasn't really sure what was going on in my first cycle as only just came off the pill so I feel like this month is my first 'proper' go. I'm too unorganised and my sleep schedule is too messed up to consider temping but I am using flo and ovia app and taking 7 seas multivit.

@Skyla01 - Hi! I’m somewhat similar, I came off the pill 2 years ago but my cycles are still a bit of a mystery. However the last 3 cycles have all been 36 days so I’m am presuming/hoping this one will be the same. I haven’t used opks as it’s our first month trying and I promised myself I wouldn’t get obsessed.. but here I am so that didn’t go to plan 😂 however I have been using the Flo and Ovia apps. Have you had any symptoms yet?

@Ohana6419 - you sound exactly the same as me. It’s our first month TTC and I promised myself I wouldn’t obsess over everything, but it’s so hard not to when you are so excited! When are you planning on testing?

@Pastnowfuture - hello! I use both of those apps too. My cycles were very messed up when I came off the pill! What were your cycles like before the pill?

Me and D.H. had ‘the talk’ today, which was far easier than I thought it would be. Seems he’s been ready for a while and waiting for me! So, we are now going to officially start trying. Exciting and nervous at the same time!

So, I’m on my first cycle, currently cd9. I’ve just ordered some opks. Don’t want to start temping straight away, but will look into that if there’s been nothing in next couple of months. My cycles are fairly regular, usually between 26-30 days (last two have been 26 days) but average is about 28.

I’m 31 and D.H. is 33 so we think now is probably the best time as we’d like 2 eventually and ideally, I’d like to have both before I’m 35. Fingers crossed we don’t have any trouble conceiving.

Ttc number 1, cycle 9 but ttc for 1 year now. Mmc in April so waiting for bfp/af.

@msemumma I have been on the pill for 19 years. I was put on because they were super heavy and I would vomit and/or faint! Apart from some mild lightheadedness on my heaviest days I've been okay since coming off it.

@msemumma I'm hoping to hold out until Friday but realistically probably will be Wed/Thurs. I'm telling myself that Friday which will be 12/13DPO will most likely be the day when I'll be likely to get an accurate result so if I cave and test earlier hopefully the BFNs won't stress me out too much!

@msemumma I'm similar to you - TTC #1, first cycle and 6dpo. Both DH and I are 34 (35 later this year). I have PCOS with regular 36 day cycles.

My body has felt very different over the past few days, things happening that are totally out of the ordinary for me so I'm hoping it means something positive. AF due Saturday (15th) so plan to test that day when I'll be 13dpo - if I can wait that long.

@Lauralozzle wish my cycles were as short as yours, 36 day cycles makes the wait feel like forever 😔 good luck for this month, make sure to keep us updated!

@Chanel05 - really sorry to hear about your MMC! What CD are you on at the moment and how long are your cycles?

@xELENx hello! I haven’t really had any symptoms apart from since 4dpo I’ve had thrush (or what I believe is thrush) TMI Sorry.. which I’ve never had before, however it could just be coincidence! Other than that I don’t feel any different. I have a 16 day luteal phase so not due until 19th. Going to test Friday as don’t think I will be able to hold myself back any longer than that! Make sure to keep me updated!

@msemumma I'm using flo app but don't know what my "regular" cycle is yet so this month dates are all based on the average 28 day cycle which will be inaccurate for me but gives me a vague idea. If I go on to cycle 3 I'm hoping it will be clearer. Might start using opks after that if not pregnant by then.

@lauralozzle it's exciting to have that chat isn't it! I wondered if I would regret having kids to early (at 32...!) but now we've started ttc I'm more worried that we should have started sooner! I'd also like two by 35, just hoping it doesn't take too long. It's only now we're trying I realise how many couples take a long time to conceive.

I am:

• on 4th cycle (have been TTC since January, the pill messed me up a little and my last 2 cycles have been about 53 days)
• TTC first child
• first month of using OPKs
• currently about 7dpo and CD 31
• I am very stupid because I tested this arvo and I upset it was a BFN! (Maybe not relevant, Just a confession I had to get out 😂)

@msemumma before mmc my cycles were 31 days but I'm currently on cd39 and expecting bfp/af cd45. It took 4 weeks to get negative hpt after surgery.

@futureMrsD what opks are you using? Have you found it useful? I might start using some next month .

@Skyla01 yes very! With my cycle being 50+ days I really had no idea when I was ovulating.

I'm 30, on cycle 2 of ttc my first. I'm 6ish days post ovulation. Used opks this cycle which I found really helpful as my cycle was 38 days last month!

@msemumma the waiting a killer isn't it?! I'm currently having what I think/hope is implantation bleeding (I never have spotting between periods) and the colour and consistence is different.

TTC our first and on cycle two! My and DH are both 27 (he’ll be 28 next month!)

Currently CD22 and 8dpo. AF is due on Saturday and thinking I may test Thursday if I can wait that long! Good luck to you all 🤞🏻 x

@Skyla01 just cheap ones, the ones you get from Amazon in packs of like 20+

@Skyla01 I've used opks for months. I go between cheapies and clear blue advanced digital.

Hi everyone 👋 hope I can join in :) I’m 27 and TTC no1, currently waiting on my cycle to come back after dropping the pill just over 2 months ago, tracking BBT every morning and no signs of ovulation yet so hoping my body gets back on track soon

@MrsS147 - Hi! have you had any symptoms yet? You are so good holding out until Thursday, I definitely need your will power! 😂
