@FlapJackered - yes that's what it sounds like, and I saw it say they're common/generally nothing to worry about which is good. Bloody kills Shock poor you getting them a lot!
Still waiting for a positive opk...

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:06

@ELW85 @starkid @Bettythecat @purplefig @FlapJackered Thank you, I am so so pleased. Also re: supps! Unless a doctor has diagnosed any issues, the main stay is the folic acid. Avoid Vitamin A completely.

She also mentioned stress, diet and exercise - she thinks people really overlook how being in the best possible health is such a huge factor in conception and pregnancy. I told her about my health kick and she was very impressed! So if anyone needed that extra nudge to lace up their trainers, there you go :)

I’m just so pleased to know I’ll be under her care from now on. She mentioned stress a lot, and said to try and remain as positive as I can which I am doing much better at; but the knowledge I’ll have so much support and additional scans if pregnant again in itself makes me feel so so much better. She was SO nice and as you say, £800 is nothing if it gives me a baby!

@starkid Ouch sounds painful! Definitely mention it at your scan - hopefully it’s nothing!

@Bettythecat Great to hear all is going well! Do you know when your booking in appointment is yet? It’ll all start to go so quickly now!

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:06

@ValidUser Oooh come on tests get darker!! (And oops sorry missed you off my earlier post!!)

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:08

Triple post!! Haha @purplefig just saw your post about next steps - it’s different in every area, some GPs will refer you and some are self referral to midwives. Easiest thing to do is just call your GP surgery and ask them what the process is, and then the midwives book you in around 8-10 weeks!

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 12:24

@MrsEG amazing news!! So glad it was a positive appointment! Sounds like a wonderful doctor as well so understanding.

Today is a Disney binge I think might gym later.

Ladies talk to me about CB OPKs the new batch I bought the stupid reader doesn't work grrr but I looked at the stick and 2 very dark lines so ovulating?

Bettythecat · 06/06/2019 12:27

@purplefig @MrsEG I'm going to call the doctors tomorrow to get an appointment tomorrow hopefully. My DH has been really sweet and has said he will definitely be coming to absolutely everything even though the first appointment nothing really happens! I'm all prepared now about the process after last time so I've got my piss pot to take with me! @purplefig the doctor just refers you to the midwife (at least they do in my areas) as well as takes a few basic details and height and weight etc then you get your appointments for booking and scans. I'm sort of liking not having symptoms but really just want them to start- I was like this last time so really hard to not see it as a bad omen!

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:32

@Bettythecat Try not to let that worry you at all - my sister didn’t have any sickness til 7 weeks and two friends had absolutely none at all! Enjoy the symptom-free days while you can haha! Good luck with getting booked in :)

@MrsH497 Thanks lovely! I don’t know actually, do you have a pic of the test?

Mrskcam · 06/06/2019 12:40

Hi all just marking my place, sorry I've been quiet I have been taking some time to just recollect my thoughts and whatnot. Will be back soon, hope everyone's keeping well x

dahlia123 · 06/06/2019 12:50

You're doing well holding off @purplefig. That chart looks good! Hopefully the 1 hour won't make too much of a difference. Fingers crossed for you and @FlapJackered tomorrow

That's a great weekend ahead @FlapJackered! That pic looks like the shelf in the chemist 🤣

I'm not as regular during LP @cupcakesandglitter - another pain the arse being a woman

So pleased your consultant was so good @MrsEG. It must feel like such a relief to see someone like that.

Yes I def feel like a teenager @purplefig - terrified of seeing someone I know at the till.

Hi @Mrskcam. Hope you're well.

At the start of fertile week this morning and partner asked for my phone this morning. Asked why and he wanted to check my apps so he could see if it was the right time to DTD. Pleased his mind is on TTC - hadn't realised he was so across dates 😝

purplefig · 06/06/2019 12:56

@dahlia123 Hahaha that's so nice he wants to actively be involved with it! I think it helps TTC feel less lonely, along with this group of course Grin . I'm planning to go to a supermarket instead of a chemist, so I can use the self check-out. I am 28 damnit, why am I so ridiculous!!!

@Bettythecat Ahh I see - that's good to know. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow - let us know.

@MrsEG I'm absolutely chuffed for you. Good to hear her thoughts on the importance of being fit and healthy, bet you felt like the class nerd when you could say you've started your health kick already! I think stress is a big one...interestingly something that exercise can really help with too.

I don't feel particularly optimistic about tomorrows test, probably because it's been 9 months of nothing so I think I'd genuinely faint from shock if another line popped up haha.

LokiCat · 06/06/2019 12:57

@MrsEG oh I'm so happy for you, the doctor sounds brilliant and very positive about it which I'm sure reassures you a lot!
I hope you get all your answers soon ❤️

@ELW85 glad the flashing smiley has shown up! Fx positive is close!!

@cupcakesandglitter I can't stop sneezing at work and my eyes and nose feel so itchy!! Horrendous!
I usually have bananas when I feel too constipated.

@FlapJackered haha loving your collection! I'll be showing that to DH when I get home, since he made a comment about my collection of 1 FRER box and 1 CB digital 😂😂 I do have atleast 20 ICs though, as they came free with my OPK strips.

@purplefig yes re feeling like a naughty teenager!! It doesn't help that some people still think I'm 18, not 28 🤦🏻‍♀️ so always make sure to look really casual and relaxed when buying some!
Re next steps - I can self refer to my local hospital, but GP wants to know so they can put it on their system as well. As others have said, it does vary by area.

@Bettythecat glad to see that you're doing well. Good luck getting an appointment tomorrow! Your DH sounds so sweet.

@dahlia123 ahh bless your partner to be so involved! DH just tells me to let him know when his bits are needed 😂😂

cupcakesandglitter · 06/06/2019 12:57

@FlapJackered omg prunes!! I don't have prunes but I have dates.... I'll try those!! Never wanted the shits before but hey 😂 bloody hell you're well stocked up 😂😂 that's an impressive amount!!!!

@MrsEG yeeeeees!!! I'm so happy for you, I'm glad things are moving super quick and you'll get your answers soon ❤️

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 13:08

@MrsEG probably being hopeful for anything!

ELW85 · 06/06/2019 13:14

@MrsH497 - that looks like a positive one to me!
I must say, I use a combo of the CB and ICs to lower the cost when I need to test twice a day, and the IC ones are actually more sensitive in my view.
Let us know how you get on :)

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 13:17

Husband had best prepare to be jumped when he gets in from work! Lol

cupcakesandglitter · 06/06/2019 13:59

@LokiCat sorry I missed your message! I don't take antihistamines either so just have to put up with it 😂😂 also, bananas don't help, I've been eating them too 😩

@MrsH497 looks positive to me!! Make sure he's ready 😂😂😂 x

purplefig · 06/06/2019 14:17

@LokiCat so glad it's not just me - lots of us on the thread! Yeah I think looking so young makes it extra awkz.

@MrsH497 what kind of ov test is that? I only use ICs! Looks positive to me though.

Ladies...I can only tell you...I just ran to the bathroom CONVINCED AF had arrived but it was just a lot of very wet CM. Um, u wot?!

starkid · 06/06/2019 14:44

@purplefig - fingers crossed it's a sign!

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 14:47

@purplefig it's a CB but the monitor bit isn't working so guess work by looking at the sticks.

Fingers crossed that's a sign!!

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 14:48

@MrsH497 Looks positive to me!!

@dahlia123 Thank you lovely :) ah that’s so nice that DH is getting involved! It makes it all so much easier when they’re fully on board! DH was helping the nurse with my blood vials this morning! Grin

@purplefig Definitely - going straight to the gym as soon as I log off at home tonight! I was weighed there as I’m current 8lbs lighter than I was at the end of Jan when I was weighed for my D&C so must be doing something right!

@LokiCat @cupcakesandglitter Thanks girls :) just can’t wait for the results now and to get on with it all again with some positivity and the nicest consultant ever haha!

@purplefig With all my BFPs at 4 weeks I was convinced I had wet myself most days - they call it ‘the wetness’ - not to get your hopes up or anything but.. eeeeep!

FlapJackered · 06/06/2019 14:55

@MrsEG that's interesting what the consultant said about stress etc! Did you ask her about aspirin?

@purplefig I am so optimistic for you!! Tomorrow can't come soon enough! I have had an inner dialogue going on between my sensible brain and my poas addict all day! 😂 'Maybe I should just poas' 'no it's too early and you need fmu, don't poas' 'you could just poas and then you'll know' 'but it will probably be negative'. Bah!
This month in particular is a special kind of torture!

purplefig · 06/06/2019 14:55

@MrsEG genuinely felt like I had wee'd myself a little bit Blush. That is some proper gym motivation I reckon - glad to hear you're feeling so positive. Lots of fun stuff planned for the next 4 weeks to distract you and results day will be here before you know it. And just think, by the time you're ready to start TTC again you are going to be so ridiculously healthy and fit!

@starkid @MrsH497 cheers! I'm making everything a sign. Achy thighs? Sign. Cold sore? Sign. Feel like I've wet myself? Sign. Legit googled "more snot BFP" earlier. Wow I am painting a very attractive picture of myself here Grin.

@MrsH497 ahhhh I see - well definitely looks positive to me. DH at the ready!

purplefig · 06/06/2019 14:58

@FlapJackered Hahahahaa oh I hear you. I've been scouring the pics on countdowntopregnancy trying to see if there is a discernible difference between 12dpo and 13dpo. Such a colossal waste of time. I genuinely am not feeling optimistic but I am excited to finally POAS. Are you feeling optimistic?

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 15:04

@FlapJackered She said I shouldn’t take aspirin unless it’s prescribed and even then it would be either at a bleed or post-8 weeks as it’s a thinning agent, so can actually mess with implantation if taken sooner! So good to know :)

@purplefig @FlapJackered Hold out ladies, save that FMU! Just think, this time tomorrow you’ll know!
Yep we actually have a holiday in the Lakes the week before the results! So I really think the time will fly (and a damn sight faster than the NHS wait time!)

It was so funny actually - she was explaining why her NHS clinic was so busy and one of the reasons was that she was ‘outed’ on Mumsnet for being so good and now has women all over the NHS contacting her - and she said ‘Have you heard of Mumsnet?’ - DH just shot me daggers haha I was like ‘oh yeah, I think I’m aware of it...’!!

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 15:06

@purplefig hahaha!!! Well I know it's only 3 weeks since MC but I'm back to looking at everything as a symptomHmmConfused
