Welcome to all the new people! :)
Im 30, first time TTC and on cycle 3! 2 DPO!
@MrsLBear - I used both clear blue digital and advance but the CB advance is really sensitive to when you start using it. For the first month my periods were super irregular so I didn't get on with it. I had a flashing face for 9 days then static for 3! weird!
It only seemed useful once I already knew I was in a LH Surge tbh!
I've been using cheap OPKs religiously 3x a day and when I havne't been too sure if it's a positive I've been using the CB digital (pink ones) to comfirm
Effort
@Sunflower2019 - snap!!! 2DPO -
-Weird sharp twinges on my ovary (i guess) area
-Last night lower back ache which was weird for me, found it hard to get comfy in bed
-Yesterday same as you - mild heartburn when I ate jalapenos which has never happened before!
@S082018 - BBT charting involves taking your basal body temperature every morning, at the same time, after at least 4 consecutive hours sleep. If you take your temperature a little earlier or later than normal, it affects your reading. You then either maually or using an app (I use Femometer and Fertility Friend) enter your daily BBTs and it draws up a graph for you. After you've ovulated you shouullddd see a rise in temp every morning unti your period starts. Or if you're pregnant, the temp will remainn elevated.
Its good for cofirming ovulation as a positive LH test doesn't necessarily mean you've ovuled and it also help learn about the lenght of your Luteal Phase.
I'm finding it hard to get on with because I wake up a few time throughout the night so I never know which temperature I should be using and also, because I wake at random times, I haven't been taking my temperature consistantly after at least 4 hours sleep at the same time every day. If one sleeps through the night and wakes at 6am everyday then taking your temp with a BBT thermometer every day will be accurate but i'm not sure I trust my readings!
Oh and you can't move or do anything. so as soon as you wake up, you have to try and move as little as you can so have it on your bedside table so you can just reach over and grab it. apparently moving can also cause your temp to increase.
Loads of people find it great but for me, especially since I never sleep through the night without waking, it's confusing me as I am preetty certain I ovulted as I had LH Peak and sharp ovulation pains (I think!)
ALSO!! do any of you get spotting day of or before ovulation? This month I had a LH peak, along with spotting that day and the next day. I think I ovulated the second day of spotting. Is that normal?
