Stick together not to test before 10 DPO?

Hey,

First cycle, 3 DPO. I already have pregnancy tests and I know it is pointless to test and I can make my life miserable if I do... Hmm so I really really want to wait. Grin

Anyone else trying NOT to test before a later day? Shall we stick together and support each other? Smile

@Solid10 hello and welcome!
We can support one another !! My experience is do not test!! Avoid at all costs. I tested at 2dpo and at 8dpo and both were negative! Has really got me down and I'm also believing I have all the symptoms under the sun, but the symptoms are exactly the same as AF symptoms so it's just frustrating!
I over indulged in food over bank holiday weekend and was up sick all night because of it but my brain was tricking me to say it was pregnancy sickness, when in fact, it's most likely the fact I ate like a piggy lol!
Well I'll see by next week!

@mumof1hants
Good idea keep yourself busy!! I'm at work (I'm a learning and development trainer so up on my feet constantly delivering courses) and I thought it would help to keep my mind off things but it still doesn't work my mind just wonders!! I'll go home later and part of me would want to jump into the car and go buy a test! But I won't I hope!

Xx

@hayleyd84 i'm 11dpo ... but have started bleeding today since posting this morning. 3 days early for my period. Desperately telling myself it's implantation bleeding Blush which i've had with each pregnancy (1 DS, 2 miscarriages) Only time will tell i guess.

whitelanner · 28/05/2019 17:06

Hi @Solid10 Welcome here. :)

I didn't do BBT. I only did the ovulation tests, they were really obvious for me... nothing nothing, nothing, very dark, nothing, nothing, nothing Grin
So I just peaked and that was it. And it also was on the exact date when my fitbit period calendar told me I was going to ovulate. And I also felt it. I had like pulsating slight pain on my left side, then horrible cramps during the night. So it was pretty obvious I ovulated. I was even thinking maybe I felt the fertilization as well. lol. Grin

@DaisyChainsForever have everything crossed for you !!

Keep us updated Halo

fabmaz · 28/05/2019 22:19

Hi all,

Can I join please?

Ttc #1 cycle 5 and holding off until the weekend when I'm due AF.

Suffering with terrible backache though so fingers crossed

Baby dust to all xxx

PheobeBuffet · 28/05/2019 22:20

Hi all, mind if I join?

Around 5dpo today, haven't used bbt or opks just ovia app so maybe not that accurate although have regular 27/28 day cycles. Af due next Wednesday or Thursday..

Have had some twinges/cramps and back pain today but I cant honestly say that's a new thing for me. Had a dizzy spell in work today which lasted around 30 mins, felt like I was on a boat. Its been coming and going since then but not lasting as long. Feel like I'm getting shooting 'pains' in one boob, but not really pains more like when you pinch a nerve if that makes sense?! Trying desperately not to symptom spot as I know its probably too early for implantation and symptoms but can't help but read into it!

Fingers crossed for everyone on thread!!

BoomerangLurker · 28/05/2019 22:45

Hi! Mind if I jump on board?

Try #2, potentially 4dpo - haven't used ovulation sticks just going by temps and signs.

I've had cramping all day like I had when I was implanting with my son. I'm seriously overanalysing and need talking down from a ledge.

Argh! Right going to try and catch up on all the posts!

whitelanner · 29/05/2019 05:30

4 DPO ... it is going to be a long work day, so that will take my mind off it. Smile

My strategy is, that - as I know the morning urine is the best to test with - if I don't do it straight away when I wake up, then that day is a success for not doing it. Grin Grin So I only need to be strong for that 2 minutes while I am running to the toilet in a half-asleep state. It is not that hard actually. Grin

@whitelanner I tell myself exactly this! If I haven't done it in the morning then there's no point anyway... only tomorrow to get through for me then I'm going to test (providing AF doesn't arrive!) x

Mamabear12 · 29/05/2019 07:28

I know everyone wants to find out asap, but in my experience, so much better to just wait to day period is due or the day before if you can't wait. It saves you money as well. Although, I admit for my third pregnancy, I was testing early and wasting money! The cheap tests you can get on amazon are the best to use if you do want to test early. I was wasting money with clear blues and first responses some of the time. When I did get pregnant, it was of course the month I did not think I would so only brought 3 tests with me when on holiday....so only started testing the day before my period was due. Day before was negative, day of was positive! It really seems to happen when you least expect it. I was so sure my period was going to happen bc I had spotted a bit, bloated etc so packed with me a box of tampons and pads. I really couldn't believe it when it slowly showed positive. I drove myself nuts before with all the testing several days before my period was due.

DaisyChainsForever · 29/05/2019 08:16

Thank you @Seli3025 Bleeding lasted a couple of hours and was only light. Trying not to get my hopes up.

HayleyD84 · 29/05/2019 09:39

@DaisyChainsForever really hope you get your BFP!

I'm going insane!!

Saturday (9dpo) I did a 10miu test and got a very very very faint line.
since then and this morning I have done normal tests and nothing??

I am now a day late for my period and I am never late??

Ive ordered some more 10miu tests which will come today.
Surely though if i was preg the 25miu tests would pick it up now? i'm 13dpo and a day late.
I just want to know either way :-(

chanderl · 29/05/2019 10:15

I broke today at 6dpo. Obviously so early and it was a negative

HayleyD84 · 29/05/2019 11:07

@chanderl I broke from 7dpo its drove me mad :-(

I'm making a promise to myself to not test until im late as it has caused me so much stress!

YouWhoNeverArrived · 29/05/2019 11:45

Hi all, can I join? First cycle of TTC #2. 6 do today. Conceived #1 literally the first day we tried, and I just knew straight away. I don't have any such feeling this time around. I'm determined not to test until AF is late - when I was pregnant with DS, I got a BFN on the day AF was due, and again when it was 2 days late; I only got my BFP when AF was 4 days late. I also had some implantation bleeding the day before AF was due with my first pregnancy. So I don't think there's much point testing until I'm late. Next weekend seems so far away!

HayleyD84 · 29/05/2019 13:10

@YouWhoNeverArrived welcome :-) the TWW is the hardest thing ever! and no one seems to understand accept on here lol

I caught first month with my son also, so i thought this would be a breeze! boy was I wrong lol.
Im only on cycle 5 and feels like cycle 55 LOL.
Hope you catch quickly again xx

Solid10 · 29/05/2019 14:10

4 dpo & feel intermittent stabbing pains in my side & weirdly just above my pubic bone! Weird feeling!!!

Also! Last night I had mild backache and again today. Just very mild, lower back/hip twinges/aches....

Overthinking it much?! 😂😂

Moongirl10 · 29/05/2019 17:31

Can I join? TTC#1, been off the pill since January but only really started trying properly this month. 10DPO today but I only have 1 test at home so don’t want to use it yet! I had sore boobs yesterday and back pain but both feel normal today 🤔

mumof1hants · 29/05/2019 17:51

Welcome @Moongirl10! When ru going to test? I'm 11dpo and getting nervous. I don't want to see a negative but every time I go to the toilet I'm worried AF will rear her ugly head! Due sometime thurs-sat x

mumof1hants · 29/05/2019 17:52

Welcome@YouWhoNeverArrived too! Sorry reading backward through messages is never the best idea 🙈x

PheobeBuffet · 29/05/2019 17:58

@mamabear12 cost is a motivator for me lol couple of months ago I was testing from 5dpo and spent so much money! Justified it because I was having treatment for abnormal cells in cervix so needed to know before having anything done 🤔totally agree with it happening when you least expect it, I was pregnant end of 2017 (sadly mc) and only noticed when my period was a week late! I should really listen to my sensible side lol! All day I've had a dull throb on right side of pelvis, similar to ovulation, a fair amount of lotiony cm which is unusual for me at this stage (sorry tmi!) and achey thighs (this is probably from the million squats I done yesterday though 😁) 6dpo roughly, I'm preparing myself for af coming, but trying sooo hard not read so much into every little thing!

Moongirl10 · 29/05/2019 18:00

@mumof1hants I might test if AF is late. I need to get some more tests, only have 1 expensive one left at home! Really not feeling many symptoms though Hmm

Mamabear12 · 29/05/2019 18:26

PheobeBuffet yes I was the same. When I finally was pregnant, I didn't see any symptoms....other then my period was coming. I was so sure, told my dh we were out, packed loads of tampons and pads for holiday, drank daily on holiday....In the past, when pregnant the only early symptoms I had were that of period coming, except more noticeable. For example, I was extra bloated. I did feel some twinges in what I thought was my cervix just before period was due, which never happens so thought huh, thats odd. With my first, I had a little back ache early and thought it must be my period coming. Good luck this time around! I know its so hard, but try not to test....or order some cheapies off amazon. I think it was ridiculous cheap like 30 for 5 pounds or something. I used those and they work.

mumof1hants · 29/05/2019 19:38

@Moongirl10 don't worry about symptoms. I had a few cramps when AF was due with my first then nothing until cd33 when I felt a bit light-headed at work x

Moongirl10 · 29/05/2019 22:02

Thanks @mumof1hants I’ve definitely been feeling light headed, didn’t realise that was a symptom!
