TTC First Baby Thread 18 Already!

Starting new thread - no stats though.

@ValidUser I did think that - I remember right at the beginning of TTC I had a positive just before AF BUT I had spotting almost straight after and then AF turned up. I've had no spotting at all (usually get it 1/2 days before AF) and I've had sticky/creamy cm pretty much every day since ovulation which isn't normal for me at all, that's all 🤷🏻‍♀️

@cupcakesandglitter how many dpo are you approximately? The CM can be associated with a rise in oestrogen during implantation. Can't account for the OPK, though!

In spite of the funny temps, Ava still thinks I ovulated on Friday. Confusing stuff!

@ValidUser I think I'm around 18dpo... my LP is usually 14dpo though, but as I'm getting BFNs I'm guessing maybe I didn't ov/ovulated late. Maybe Ava will adjust with a few higher temps? Xx

Oh yes @dahlia123!! Don't want to get any hopes up about catching this month but I also have no idea when I would test as it would be first AF

@FlapJackered I'm 11dpo with AF due wed.
Fingers crossed she won't arrive and will go smoothly.

Should I wait until wed before I call the Drs?
This is ttc#1 so literally have no idea what I'm doing?

@FlapJackered I know the feeling. From the start I said as long as I'm pregnant by the time my first due date comes round I will be ok because I'm not sure how I will cope otherwise. Sounds so dramatic but it's like a deadline.
I really need to get back into tempting again. I've not done that since last time just been doing OPKs.

@cupcakesandglitter I've heard others say they got a +ve opk when af was due. I'm sure I read somewhere you can have surges or something. Not that that's very helpful.
Do you temp or anything? Are you certain of your O date?

@Marleym28 where I live you can "register" your pregnancy straight with the hospital you wish to go to which was so good as I got my booking appt within 10 days (my choice was Queens Hospital in Romford). So worth maybe checking that out?

@Marleym28 The GP doesn’t do anything other than refer you to the midwife anyway, and you won’t see them until 8-10 weeks so there’s no rush at all. Maybe call your GPs office to see what their process is? The receptionists should be able to tell you :)

@MrsLBear Hello lovely! I feel the same - my first due date is in just over a months time now. I’ve actually booked the day off work as I don’t know how I’m going to feel. Some days it doesn’t bother me, others it really stops me in my tracks and I feel desperate about it. Which like you say, seems so dramatic but I just know it’s going to be tough. How are you doing?

@cupcakesandglitter meh I'm ok good days and bad days. Both had a few tears the other day over the other woman at work who's pregnant just all feels very unfair. We don't want to get any hopes up of falling pregnant again quickly DH asked when I could test and when AF was due xx

Oh @MrsH497 I'm so sorry :( DH did the same when he found out his best mate from work and his wife are expecting. It almost seems cruel doesn't it. So sorry, it's the worst situation :( sending hugs ❤️ xxxx

@cupcakesandglitter this sounds so harsh but they aren't in the most stable relationship, weren't trying and yet magically happens for them. Broke my heart watching him tear up. Thank you for all being here when I have needed to chat it's really helped xx

I don't think it's harsh @MrsH497 I completely get how you feel - we try everything we can trying to be in the best possible position for it, so when it happens so easily for other people it bloody hurts.

There's a thread right now from a 24year old who wants to use a sperm donor (her mate) to get pregnant and her responses to seem a little immature - i will be 24 and whilst the age thing I can understand, I have everything in place for a child and am financially secure, I worked very bloody hard to be in this position because I knew I wanted children. I did everything by the book almost and then it just doesn't happen. Granted people try a lot longer but it just seems so unfair. I'm just moaning really. Sorry 😂

Glad you don't think I'm being harsh. Her and her boyfriend caused some issues at our wedding as well so guess I'm just bitter lol xx

@MrsEG oh sorry to hear it's so soon 😢 I think that's a good idea and you're allowed to have a sad day, especially on a day like that. It's so hard seeing peoples pregnancies progress that you know but I just keep telling myself my time will come. I'm doing ok thank you. Taking each day as it comes. And I feel different at every point in my cycle. Just getting bfn every month disheartens me so much. I still find it baffling how people fall pg on a one night stand for example. How are you doing? You tracking your cycles or going with the flow?

So hard listening to people's news like that especially at work. I had a client moan to me about her morning sickness (every time I see her) and she knows what I went through and I just feel like slapping her and telling her to be bloody grateful. I know it's all relative and I know morning sickness can be awful but I'd rather have it and be pg than be faced with bfn every month. I feel the same as you @cupcakesandglitter. My ex sil falls pg more often than not and she's so undeserving of it and uses abortions as a form of contraception (don't even get me started) so I agree it's so so unfair.

@MrsEG @MrsH497 I feel like everywhere I go I see pregnant women, 3 of my friends are pregnant and so is my bosses wife it does just feel so unfair sometimes! Yesterday town was just full of pregnant women, kids and newborns 😒

@MrsLBear not too bad good days and bad days have a couple of good days then a less good one. Totally agree I'd give anything to be pg even with morning sickness wouldn't matter to me just a healthy pregnancy.

CD33 And counting 🙃 no sign of AF, did a IC again today and BFN and just been to the toilet and had some EWCM, I'm so confused about everything how nobidea what's going on with my cycles
