@PippaPug not great post came through with the antenatal appointment despite my gp appointment. Spoke to the antenatal clinic who said the gp should've contacted them so once again been let down and in floods of tears

PippaPug · 28/05/2019 14:32

@MrsH497 - oh no lovely, what a shock for you to open that letter when you wasn’t expecting it, are you able to contact your husband, is he able to come home early? Or is there a friend who can come round? Flowers

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 14:41

@PippaPug I've spoken to him on the phone. We are now even discussing the fact should we get pregnant again we would consider going private. Although the antenatal clinic were lovely.

Phoned mum as well just annoyed as well that the gp should've contacted them so they didn't send the letter

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 14:52

@MrsH497 that's so annoying and upsetting. X

@MrsH497 I know exactly how you feel. When I had my MMC I found it totally bizarre that I was made to sit in the waiting room for literally hours in the women's clinic surrounded by pregnant women and babies. After it had been confirmed to me that there had been no growth I even had to go and sit back out with them all- it seemed crazily insensitive and something they could so easily change by having two waiting rooms.

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 15:04

@Bettythecat I can't fault the antenatal team she was lovely but it shouldn't have happened. The letter has a date of 13/5 so it's taken 2 weeks to get to me. I saw the gp on 22/5.

Nhs don't seem to always be sympathetic about MC really I have found. So annoyed I'd been doing so much better as well. Chocolate and a cuppa is the answer I feel

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 15:55

So before the next scan, I've filled myself with milk and pineapple and salmon. After the trigger I'll move to the Brazil nuts and keep on the salmon.

Think follicular thoughts for me!

Lola871 · 28/05/2019 16:17

@ValidUser thinking follicular thoughts (don't know what they are but I'm doing it anyway 🤣)

@MrsH497 definitely chocolate! That's annoying that the letter came through, I guess it was processed too early and didn't get cancelled, but I know that doesn't help.

Despite thinking AF was on the way today it hasn't yet kicked in. I'm fairly sure it's coming though, and won't officially be late til Friday (based on longest previous cycle). Holding off testing for now after doing an IC on Saturday which was negative.

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 16:36

@Lola871 think juicy eggs!

Lovely day here in the west of Ireland. Got some gardening done and spending time with my fabulous cats.

Also @Lola871 you have great self control not testing!

Hi ladies, hope you're all well 😊
Used my first CB digital OPK today - still low. Fw starts next week I think!
Quick question, what BBT thermometer do you all use (if you temp)? My one beeps ridiculously loudly and woke DH this morning after his night shift. Never noticed how loud it was until I was trying to shut it off!! 🙈

@MrsH497 so sorry to hear that happened ❤️
I received a letter about my booking appointment a few days after I miscarried, as well, which started with 'congratulations on your pregnancy'..
When I called them to cancel it they were already aware so I imagine it was processed really slowly 🤷🏽‍♀️ I hope you're okay. Chocolate sounds brilliant!

@ValidUser lots of follicular thoughts for you xx

@Lola871 hope she doesn't show! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

MrsEG · 28/05/2019 18:48

@ValidUser Thinking happy thoughts for you! Where in Ireland are you? All of my family are from Cork!

@MrsH497 I know how you feel - with my MMC as I was packing a bag to go in for my D&C the midwife called me asking where I was as I was a no-show for my booking in appt. I had to tell her I was actually about to go for a D&C (which was happening in a different hospital - we have three to choose from in my area, and I for the D&C I just picked the one with the soonest appointment). Like you, she was absolutely wonderful about it but it was such a horrible call to receive. I don’t think the communication through NHS travels particularly quickly at all. Hope you’re feeling better soon xx

Just checking in to see if there were any BFPs to congratulate!!

Got started on our little bucket list today; funfair on the beach! Went on the waltzers, drank daiquiris. Such a wonderful day. Determined to make every day this week just like this one, especially as it’s almost my birthday!

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 18:52

@MrsEG I'm from Cork too, but living on the Galway/Mayo border! Small world (small island).

@Bettythecat I am so glad you're feeling better today! Fingers crossed af stays away!

@Jessikka I am so jealous you got to see Spice Girls!! Were they amazing?

@XjustagirlX opks sometimes do that to me too, they will get dark but not positive then go light again then a few days later I get the positive.

@MrsEG I love your bucket list, such a good idea!
I had the same with the midwife appointment, I had called to cancel it and left a message but they hadn't received it. It was quite a shock when they called. @MrsH497 I am sorry, it is like another wave of sadness. The sadness will always be there but it does get better with time. ❤️

@ValidUser that sounds like a good plan of action, I love the weird combinations of food we eat while ttc. I will literally try anything at this stage 😂

@LokiCat I use the natural cycles one which is quite good! It does beep but it is not too loud and doesn't have a light, and it saves the reading so you don't have to look at it until you get up.

I think I have ovulated but temps haven't properly gone up yet, they are only just over the cover line. 🤞🏻tomorrow will bring a nice high one!

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 20:07

Thank you ladies just feels like a horrid day but it'll get better. X

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 20:26

@MrsH497 sending you hugs. And a story that made me laugh. And some universal wisdom. X

MrsLBear · 28/05/2019 21:23

Hi ladies, I've been lurking for a while again since my mmc in February but had so much going on and my body wasn't back to normal yet but I feel like this month it is for the first time since it all happened.

How are you all? Still hanging on to this rollercoaster of a ride?

One of my school friends is due a month after I would of been and found out today she's having a girl. Such a blow but I'm so happy for her.
What doesn't kill us makes us stronger 'n all 💫

ELW85 · 28/05/2019 21:33

Evening all!

@Lokicat - I bought a Bongmi thermometer. It’s got a great app with it too :)

@MrsEG - your day sounds fantastic! Good on you for doing loads of bucket list stuff, so well deserved!

@ValidUser - good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on!

Marleym28 · 28/05/2019 21:34

Ladies....
question please, got my static smilie CD14 so based on that I'm 6dpo. Today & yesterday I've had A lot more than usual creamy CM (sorry...tmi). I know that it's common anyway at that time but has anyone had it where they're just getting it a lot more than usual?

Bettythecat · 28/05/2019 21:53

Welcome back @MrsLBear. Glad to hear you took the time you needed and are feeling a bit back to normal.

@Marleym28 Dont want to get your hopes up but I had a noticeable increase in CM when I was pregnant. Having said that though i think it is due to increased progesterone which happens whether or not you are pg... fingers crossed it's a good sign for you!

Marleym28 · 28/05/2019 22:17

Thanks @Bettythecat
I'll keep my fingers crossed but equally take it with a pinch of salt!

Jooloo11 · 28/05/2019 23:15

Hello all! I don't post much, but I do keep up to date with reading the thread, so just to mark my place :

Age: 33
Cycle:8, CD1

So AF arrived for me today, so start of cycle 8. Feeling a bit down about it all.

This is going to be hard to describe, but when AF arrives does anyone else feel somehow that having a baby would be such an incredibly amazing thing, but so amazing that I'm not lucky enough to have it happen to me, sort of thing?? Which is ridiculous, I'm a very lucky person, lovely DH, loving family, healthy etc, but somehow every month I can imagine having a BFP (just never do!) but the idea of holding my own baby just seems soooo distant somehow, like I can't imagine it actually happening, like winning the lottery or something.

Re BBT thermometer, this is the one I have. It was the cheapest one with the best reviews on Amazon. Quiet beep. The only thing is that it says it has a backlight but doesn't (maybe I picked the wrong type though) so when it's dark I need my phone screen to see the temp. Other than that it's great.

FlapJackered · 29/05/2019 07:29

@Jooloo11 yes yes yes to everything you said below. I think it is totally natural to feel this way especially when you have been trying for a while. Even when I got pregnant I felt this feeling of it not being real and that I didn't deserve it. X

Welcome back @MrsLBear . So glad to hear you're ok and your body is getting back to normal. I have the same with 3 close friends due within 3 weeks of my due date. It's so hard isn't it. I just hope I am pregnant by then or I think I might not cope with it all very well.

@ValidUser 😂😂😂
