Hi everyone! I’ve started a new thread as we are dangerously close to 1000 posts in the last one! I’ll add a link to it now :) Here’s hoping it’s a lucky one!

@Mirana - Ooh I can see something, but I'd do a FRER on Saturday when 11dpo so can be more sure! FX :)

Am 9dpo today as well, and wondering whether to test early on sat or sun. Nothing but the usual pre-AF sore heavy boobs, so not hopeful, but you never know

Meenabeena · 16/05/2019 09:24

Morning everyone :)
Think I'm out this month. On CD 11 and we have not DTD at all :( The DH has not been well and the fasting hours are not helping. I'm trying to keep my chin up and tell him it's okay whenever he says I'm sorry but can't help feeling a little blah. Especially because I had a normal cycle this month. Period was normal and I'm getting my normal flow of CM so it felt like a good chance. We still have until Monday to try and hit the Ovulation window and it only takes one hit right *fingers crossed. I'm trying not to hold up too much hope though. Will hopefully resume TTC next month. Won't be posting as much but will continue to creep and look out for BFP news as that's always nice to see :) Good luck ladies. Speak soon hopefully xxx

ELW85 · 16/05/2019 09:53

@MrsEG thanks! I think I needed to hear this 😊 the exercise totally helps with the anxiety. I think I’m just so conscious of how hard it is to get a BFP that I’m terrified of putting a foot wrong!

@Meenabeena - so sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit down about it, and it’s definitely something I can relate to! BUT you’re right, it only takes once, and I read a really interesting article recently that ~80% of BFPs occur from DTD in the 2 days before O, and that sperm older than that aren’t usually that successful so keep your head up :) lots of time yet!!
You must be exhausted from the fasting though! Good luck, and maybe just enjoy the month off (if that’s what it ends up being!) xx

Lozzlepop · 16/05/2019 10:06

@DayDreamer1707 its all looking really good 🙂

@Meenabeena sorry to hear that it's not been the month you had hoped but you still have time before Monday and if not enjoy this time while you are fasting and get back to it next month when you are able to fully commit.

@ELW85 I was doing HIIT classes right up until my MMC if your body is used to it then your should be totally fine, just don't push yourself more than you normally would!

Happy Thursday ladies, another sunny day! We have a work night out tonight so looking forward to that as it's a restaurant I have wanted to try for ages. Might even allow myself a little drink - first one in over 9 weeks though 😦

orangeloo · 16/05/2019 10:21

Thanks guys and @Jooloo11 that is a fab idea. I will try another clear blue as I'm nearing not wee'd for four hours! And if it's still not working I will go to boots at lunch and get normal OPK. Thank you knew I posted for a reason haha the day is not lost yet.

@ELW85 I've seen loads of stuff saying avoid vigorous exercise use to aid implantation but at the same time seen loads saying carry on as you normally would. Do what feels right for you and as someone said just don't push yourself harder than normal.

ELW85 · 16/05/2019 10:58

Thanks all! Again it feels like something that there’s loads of contradictory guidance on, so I’ll keep going but maybe take it a bit easier than normal!

orangeloo · 16/05/2019 11:01

Did the OPK again- I held my pee for 3hrs 45 mins which I'm thinking should be fine. Existing clearblue holder still flashing smiley and new one saying low. So I'm fairly confident I haven't missed LH surge - I hope. Thanks for the support ladies Smile

starkid · 16/05/2019 11:10

@ELW85 - I know someone who went to Florida on every crazy rollercoaster possible, then later found out she was implanting/pregnant the whole time. But then again, it's up to you if you want to risk or not

starkid · 16/05/2019 11:11

People have drank/smoked during pregnancy and been fine, others not. So just about choice really and weighing up any possible pros and cons

LokiCat · 16/05/2019 11:33

@Meenabeena sorry this cycle hasn't gone how you'd hoped! You may still catch ovulation though. We only DTD once before I had my positive OPK on the cycle I got my BFP.
If you aren't able to, then it'll be good to take the month off, especially as you are fasting, which I imagine must be so energy draining.

Good luck and take care of yourself xxx

@Lozzlepop suns out for us as well! Enjoy the work night out - I do love a good restaurant!

@orangeloo does sound like you haven't missed it - glad it worked this time!

Lozzlepop · 16/05/2019 11:54

@LokiCat it is, another lovely day 😄we are off to Fazenda so I can't wait 😋then we have a night away on Saturday so another night eating out - WOOHOO!

purplefig · 16/05/2019 12:13

@Meenabeena sorry to hear that, try and not be too hard on yourselves. Fasting + TTC sounds really hard tbh.

@Lozzlepop Ooo sounds good, enjoy! I love eating out too Grin

@ELW85 Do you know what, I kinda gave up exercising last year for various reasons and then I've been reluctant to take it back up as I've read about not doing too much while TTC. I've decided that 9 months down the line, I need to exercise for my mental health and it's not like avoiding it has resulted in even a mere hint of a BFP. So I'll be starting up again on Monday and quite frankly CAN'T WAIT.

ELW85 · 16/05/2019 12:52

@Purplefig - excited for you starting back up! What are you getting back to on Monday?
I know intense exercise can affect ovulation so I totally get you taking the time out to help TTC.
It’s gonna be one of those ‘listen to your body’ and not one size fits all things I guess.

Mrskcam · 16/05/2019 12:57

Hi all hope everyone’s doing okay.

Just wanted to message and say, I go to a lady every day to do her lunch and make sure she’s had her tablets, she’s 84. She’s started telling me about how much she used to struggle with ttc and how her sister in law seemed to have babies left right and centre. Made me feel a bit better knowing that 60 years ago people felt the same as we did. Not sure if this will help any of you but it made me feel a bit more grounded again.

purplefig · 16/05/2019 13:42

@ELW85 weightlifting...so kind of intense Blush. But right now I need it! I've been doing yoga in the meantime and I love that, so I'll probably keep that up to as it's great for de-stressing.

@Mrskcam thanks for sharing, I find that weirdly reassuring too. To sure why but I assumed in the "olden days" people didn't have fertility issues....which I realise is absolute batshit of me.

Well I've just spent my lunch break in Aldi buying ingredients for the fertility smoothie - still got a few bits to get but I'll report back once I've tried it. I'm not going to lie, it sounds pretty vile but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Ahh the things we do.

DayDreamer1707 · 16/05/2019 14:06

Thanks all so much!! I think it just doesn't seem real and we are both pretty scared incase I do still come on. But my OH is so excited and supportive which is great. I sometimes think sod it I Am Pregnant but then I try and just act normal so I don't get my hopes up 🙈

@MrsEG I had MMC last year and have horrible anxiety so maybe I can always ask. It's one thing having a MC but then not knowing and thinking you are still ok is just cruel. FX for both of us!

@ELW85 exercise is good for you as long as you don't push yourself too hard. It even says to do exercise whilst pregnant too. Positive mind and all that x

@Lozzlepop get yourself a drink, you deserve it!!!

Hannah192 · 16/05/2019 14:08

Hope everyone is doing well! Thank you for the new thread.

I’ve been quiet this cycle as I’ve been trying to relax and not stress. Haven’t done opks or anything, but according to previous cycles I should have ovulated on Monday.
I already feel very deflated this cycle and not very positive. Not sure why, but not feeling like this is our cycle. I regret not doing the opks too as I’m not sure if I can relax yet or not 😂🙈 but I’m pretty sure I’m in the tww.

I’ll try and have a read back and catch up 🙂

ELW85 · 16/05/2019 14:10

@DayDreamer1707 thanks for the reply :) I think you ladies are right; do what I’m comfortable with and the exercise is beneficial!

I totally get your nervousness, and it’s great to hear how supportive OH is!
I’ve got everything crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months for you, which I’m sure it will be!

MrsEG · 16/05/2019 14:14

@ELW85 @purplefig I really wouldn’t worry at all - when I was pg the last time my midwife told me she’d be more angry with me if I’d been a regular exerciser before and went cold turkey for pregnancy. It is wholeheartedly recommended to just keep up with what you’re used to and just take the intensity level down to about 80%. My DH is a personal trainer with pre and post natal quals and he’s all for it. Just avoid anything with impact (kick boxing etc) and don’t be pushing for any PBs. There are so many benefits to staying active.

That said - I haven’t been to the gym all week haha! But I’m just a bag of nerves. I have yoga in the morning though and then ParkRun Saturday so easing my way back in!

@DayDreamer1707 Oh bless you, do you tend to have quite long cycles then as you must be a good few days DPO by now? Those IC sticks ain’t lying!! Yeah just ask - it’s worth a shot. And you can always book privately if not. I’ve got everything crossed for you!

Lozzlepop · 16/05/2019 14:22

@purplefig thanks I am really looking forward to it, I have an annoying meeting first to muddle through!

@DayDreamer1707 I may need a large one after today!

LikeTheFruit · 16/05/2019 14:23

@Lozzlepop ooh I've always wanted to try Fazenda, let me know what it's like! Enjoy

Lozzlepop · 16/05/2019 14:24

@LikeTheFruit I will do lovely 😁

ValidUser · 16/05/2019 14:28

HyCoSy at 5. I'll let you all know!

LikeTheFruit · 16/05/2019 14:29

Hey everyone!

So finally got my peak positive on OPK today at cd 18, so annoying having such long cycles. So should ov tomorrow. Just waiting for the tell tale ovary stably pain to start haha. I can be bloody sore and not really what you want with every thrust while DTD 😂😂. Off to buy some pineapple and Brazil's - not had chance this week. Hoping the extra vit D we'll all be getting from the sun will help!
