Hi everyone! I’ve started a new thread as we are dangerously close to 1000 posts in the last one! I’ll add a link to it now :) Here’s hoping it’s a lucky one!

@ValidUser - good luck!!
@LikeTheFruit - haha have fun tonight

purplefig · 16/05/2019 14:38

@MrsEG Yeah my issue is that my fitness has slipped quite a bit over the last 9 months, so I will be starting from scratch (ish). But tbh I don't really care - I need some exercise endorphons and who knows how long this TTC malarkey is going to go on for. Yoga sounds like a nice way to ease yourself back in and Park Run should be fun too.

@Lozzlepop Just daydream about dinner Wink

@ValidUser all the best - keep us posted!

@LikeTheFruit how long are your cycles? Totally know what you mean about not wanting to do it when you're getting stabby pains. Especially because normally come with a sexy side of bloat.

MrsEG · 16/05/2019 14:42

@ValidUser Good luck - got everything crossed for you!

@LikeTheFruit Enjoy the BDing and the sunshine!!

Thanks @starkid and @MrsEG !!

@purplefig cycles are about 33-35 days which I know could be longer but just so annoying as feels like such a long time passing for each failed cycle.

ELW85 · 16/05/2019 14:49

@MrsEG thanks so much for that, it’s really helpful!

purplefig · 16/05/2019 14:53

@LikeTheFruit oh yeah I'm totally with you on that front! At least yours sound pretty regular. I recently had a 27 day period but they have gone up to 36 days, so I never know if I'm coming or going. But yeah...that extra week is a right bummer.

DayDreamer1707 · 16/05/2019 15:59

@MrsEG nope, average 26/27 but had EWCM on CD9. Not sure when I ovulated but got to be at 15dpo now!

@ELW85 exercise can only help otherwise why would everyone always say to do it for your mentality and health. Thanks so much x

Mirana · 16/05/2019 16:05

Just to update: Saw the GP this morning, had a stronger BFP beforehand, he confirmed the pregnancy there and I've been referred to all the right places. Obviously this is a really nerve wracking time as I've had previous losses, but I feel like it would be really insensitive for me to talk about that here, I'm just grateful.

I know how tough it is TTC and I can see reading back a few of you are struggling, so I'll stop with input here, however if any of you have any questions about opk's or anything at all I am happy to explode everything I know at you, just tag me.

Keeping everything crossed for all of you that we all get our healthy, happy pregnancies x

Lozzlepop · 16/05/2019 16:27

@purplefig I survived the meeting so its the countdown to dinner now!

purplefig · 16/05/2019 16:42

@Mirana OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!! Super exciting news!! And don't be daft re not hanging around, I think everyone is chuffed when someone else gets a BFP. Tell us all your opk wisdom!

@Lozzlepop get in! What're you having?! Go on make me envious....

On that note. Lads. I made the infamous fertility smoothie. It cost the GDP of a small nation to make but I'm delighted to report back that it's actually quite nice. Attached photo for you to ogle at. Nice purple colour if you drink quick enough.

Dollywilde · 16/05/2019 16:45

@Mirana that's fabulous news, congratulations :)!! So pleased for you - have everything crossed. Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy.

Have a lovely evening @lozzlepop!

@Daydreamer1707 I'm very jealous of your slightly shorter cycles, I'm averaging 31/32 days and even with doing it every other day I'm bored waiting for ovulation Grin

@likethefruit Hah, I very nearly bought a pineapple last night as roughly due to ovulate yesterday or today. I'm sort of tempted although not sure it's worth it if OV was yesterday! Let me know if you find it as bearable as the OP (was it you @mrseg who started all this pineapple business?!) - I might give it a go next time around if I'm temping and have a more accurate idea of when ov is happening.

Dollywilde · 16/05/2019 16:47

Ooooh @purplefig it looks pretty!! Living up to your name there ;-)

Who would have thought this thread would be so fruit obsessed? Pineapple, fertility smoothie.. we'll keep the greengrocers of the UK in business for a while yet!

LikeTheFruit · 16/05/2019 16:54

@Dollywilde the core was alright really, very edible! I've probably missed the boat with it but never mind!!

purplefig · 16/05/2019 16:54

@Dollywilde Hahaha love it!! I think fig was about the only thing it didn't have in it 😂 oh and if anyone gives it a go - I also whacked a satsuma in for another blast of vitamin c + they make smoothies much more palatable in my experience. Let us know if you try the pineapple sorcery - I might try too if I haven't bankrupted myself by the time ovulation comes around.

ELW85 · 16/05/2019 16:56

@Mirana congratulations!!

@Purplefig - that actually looks really good!! Are you meant to drink them daily?

starkid · 16/05/2019 17:03

@Mirana - yay congratulations! hope you have a happy healthy 9 months xxx
@Purplefig - smoothie could almost match your name (does it have fig? haha)

MrsH497 · 16/05/2019 17:04

Just wanted to say hi ladies I miss you all! Had a scare whilst I'm away and started spotting/bleeding only when I peed and wiped so 🤞🏻nugget is safely in there. Got a dr appointment next week to get an EPU referral. 6+2 now

purplefig · 16/05/2019 17:15

@ELW85 I think every day yeah - but I have a smoothie most days anyway so not a huge faff for me. Feels like it's doing lots of good for me, never mind ttc stuff, so will keep it up until this round of ingredients runs out at least.

@starkid ha!! No fig but just about everything else you could imagine 😂

@MrsH497 so glad everything is ok ❤️

ValidUser · 16/05/2019 18:11

Lefty is open!

starkid · 16/05/2019 18:25

@ValidUser - hurrah!!!

cupcakesandglitter · 16/05/2019 18:57

Yaaaaas @ValidUser pleased for you! Xx

Tashdreams · 16/05/2019 19:13

@purplefig that actually looks really tasty! Is there a link to the recipe?? I know what you mean about bankrupting yourself! What with opks, vitamins, healthy eating, gym classes etc - ttc isn't cheap haha. I read somewhere that the average cost of raising a child to 18 is £210,000, I wonder if the price of ttc is in there... 😂

@mirana congratulations! Please feel free to stick around - this newbie to the group appreciates all the advice and wisdom out there!!

@DayDreamer1707 I feel your pain, currently day 47 & never thought I'd be wishing for AF to arrive! Just want to be able to start trying again next cycle. I've never been the most patient!

ValidUser · 16/05/2019 19:20

Thanks @cupcakesandglitter and @starkid!

Starting gonal f on Saturday and follicle tracking for a few months. But not IVF yet! Genuinely thrilled.

Dollywilde · 16/05/2019 19:30

Massive congrats @validuser, that’s such good news. Here’s hoping the next steps are quick and productive ❤️

@tashdreams you’ve just caused me to do some maths and between 5 months of fertility vitamins, OPKs, a thermometer and pg tests I’m already at £100 before we’ve even hit the 3 month mark... HOW? Confused

ValidUser · 16/05/2019 19:34

Thanks @Dollywilde!

Yes, this TTC business is expensive!
