Does anyone want to join?

I have been TTC #1 for 15 months and had a MC at 8 weeks in February.
I am off to the GP tomorrow to try and get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.
Tried every trick and tip and old wives tale in the book to get a bfp!
It would be good to have a group of longer term ttcers to chat to.

AF in full swing for me today! Gutted I'm starting to think will it ever happen for me? Having a bad day

Like everyone is pregnant on the first month on there!!

Well I've text to say that I've got a yoga workshop that I forgot about, and to make another date.
Now I can drink a bucket of wine on sat night (since AF is here 🙄) and not have to get up Sunday - added bonus!

They defo are the worst... and the "line eyes", which I STILL go into to have a nose, & when I see a 2nd line I'm like "are they stupid? Of course they're pregnant" 🙈

I meant to ask u all what vitamins etc u take?
I don't take anything now! I have pregnacare conceive & folic acid tablets in the cupboard 🙃

I don't take anything anymore, have only just started temping this week as it may be useful for the fertility clinic I guess!

@bunhead34 I must start temping again. I'm stoll doing IC OPKs and every cycle I'm gettin a positive - but progesterone levels on 21day bloods suggested I wasn't ovulating so I dunno whether I am or not cos I've been told the OPKs pick up the LH surge which state ur body is about to release an egg but doesn't mean u defo did release one, so here I am 21 Months & over 30cycles later not even knowing if I ovulate! All I know is I'm still not pregnant and I'm BD'd out!! 😫

@broodyaf know what you mean about bd'd out - we did it about 2 times this month. It was too hot! and sometimes I think 'what's the point, it doesn't work anyway!!'

Have you had any tests?
I thing the same about opk's, but I did have a scan and they said they could see id ovulated - but not sure about how reliable that is 🤷🏼‍♀️

Have you been referred to the fertility clinic?

@Broodyaf just seen your previous post saying you've been referred, fingers crossed it doesn't take too long for an appointment!

Yeah we went to GP in Feb & were referred to fertility clinic (NHS) in March. 6 month waiting list so should be called sept/Oct

They done 21day bloods - all normal except low progesterone but it was a couple of days out from the 7 days before AF Craic so I'm having them redone next wed.

I also had a transvaginal exam which showed everything was fine except lining mite be too thin for AF to be showing up the expected 2days later. But again AF was a few days later so don't know how reliable that was 🙄

DF has SA yday & results will be back by end of the week.

I'm so sick of the whole BD craic too & like you, if it's too hot, or even too cold, or I'm too tired, or can think of any excuse I just roll over & think "what's the point anyway when 1 of us clearly isn't working correctly?" 😂😂

How long have you been TTC & have u been for any tests yet?

@Broodyaf it seems like test results are never that reliable, results can change a lot over a couple of days I think? So dunno what to think or believe!
Hopefully your re-tests will give a bit of clarity.

6 months is a crazy long wait! Is that normal
Or is your area in particularly bad? I'm not sure I can cope with a 6 month wait.

We've been ttc 13 months. I've had 21day bloods and internal scan, DH has had SA. All normal! I've got a docs appointment on the 9th to ask about getting referred to the fertility clinic - thankfully I don't see any problems with getting referred-the gp
I see it really good.

@Broodyaf I take pregnacare, vitamin D, CoQ10, and fish oil. You should definitely take Vitamin D, even in the summer.

@KatBeCool thanks - I'm going to start taking Pregnacare & Folic acid again. I think there is enough Vit D in the pregnacare from memory

@bunhead34 yes I know 6months is so long esp as I am 37 now!! - I live in N.Ireland so everything has a waiting list over here as there is only 1 fertility clinic for 2 Counties!

The GP but my referral down as urgent, but the fertility clinic marked it down to routine, so the waiting list went from 1 month to 6 months!
By the time I realised it had been downgraded, and with us being on hols & a 1 month waiting list for private GP it wasn’t gonna make much difference. But if there is a waiting list for drugs or IVF then we might go private.

My GP never suggested taking day 3 bloods

Aren't they the ones where you find out your AMH?
I'm assuming they are important?

@Broodyaf yes, day 3 bloods are where they find out your amh, fsh, etc. So very important 😊

Does the GP normally do these bloods or the fertility clinic?
I'll ask the GP & see what they say.

I got my FSH, LH, estradiol, prolactin & progesterone some on 21day bloods...

Yes i think ask the GP @Broodyaf. I've checked the list and my 3-day bloods also included TSH, testosterone, rubella immunity and AMH. That was private so I don't know if the NHS considers them all worth doing but might be worth asking. I've never had estradiol tested...

@Mrs71 I feel the same when I have AF. It's amazing how quickly I feel more positive though once AF ends and I get back towards FW. Hopefully you will feel better soon.

It could still happen for any of us, you hear even of people who have IVF, the IVF fails and then randomly one month after that they get just find they're pregnant.

I've made an appointment today with my GP but I can't get her u til 20th August! But I'm going to ask her for the 3day blood tests then.

I'm booked in for my repeat 21day bloods next wed, so at least whenever I am called to fertility clinic, all these tests will be done (& some repeated) so hopefully I won't have to waste time redoing them for them!!

@RosettaR I feel slightly better now. New month it might be the one! Also looking forward to my holiday so that'll keep me going.

@Broodyaf doesn't she sense why there's no morphology, it's standard. Only those kits you buy at the store don't do morphology.

My day 21 progesterone came back at 1.66 when it needs to be above 10. I am extremely upset as that is beyond low. Hopefully it's fixable. That might mean I'm not even ovulating despite all the indicators that I am.

@KatBeCool I don't understand it either. DF went to proper lab to get tested. Going to get him to ring his GP & ask why no morphology because the tests are inconclusive atm!

Ah I'm sure ur gutted about ur progesterone being so low. I think I'm in the same boat as u there - my progesterone was 9.8 (range 16-28) so mine was v low as well. But I'm gettin retested on Wednesday as my period came a few days later & u have to be bang on 7 days before AF otherwise progesterone figures are skewed.
How many days after your 21day bloods did AF arrive?
When u say "all the indicators" do you mean OPKs? Because I have +VE OPKs every cycle too so I think I am ovulating 🤷‍♀️

BUT, if it was a thing that u weren't ovulating, that can be so easily fixed, eg Clomid x
